Whitney, at the front desk, is the heart of the operation. She knows everything and will try her best to get you in. HOWEVER, there are not enough appointments here and it can be tough to get a slot. The billing system seems like a mess. Early on, I paid by cash a few times (big mistake) and it took weeks to iron out what I owed. Then, later, I was randomly charged $100 I didn't owe. These are great folks, but they need a new billing system. Okay, money stuff done. Jen Duffie is an exceptional physical therapist. She helped me in my very worst moments; when I was dealing with excruciating pain. She's encouraging and non-judgmental. I've also been treated by Ashley Crain, as well at PTAS Jenny and Emily. All of them were great as well! This is where I would recommend any friends or family members go.

I had been lifting 5 days a week and playing basketball 1-2 days a week. I had never had a previous serious injury, nor had I been to PT. From day 1, Athletico and their staff (special shout out to my PT Jake) were friendly, informative, made the process seamless, and most importantly knowledgeable and effective. After three visits and following most of their recommended exercises over a 6 week period, the results have been dramatic. My wife and I just returned from an active seven day trip of hiking and walking through some very hilly coastal treks in Mexico with no pain. I ignored it for a while which was dumb & because of that it was really starting to affect my daily life. I had a lot of discomfort while sleeping, was limited on lifting things over my head & reaching certain ways. I also could tell my shoulder was getting weaker. My therapist at Cora Creve Coeur was Joey and we meshed so well from the start! During my first interaction with him, I could tell his expertise, professionalism and dedication were going to be second to none. You could also tell that he was incredibly caring and he listened to what I had to say about my symptoms. I felt heard with Joey and knew he was going to improve my range of motion and decrease the pain I was having. Through a very detailed & comprehensive assessment of my shoulder, he was quickly able to pinpoint what was going on & came up with a game plan of strengthening/range of motion exercises, stretches, massages, & muscle scraping techniques. PT is of course, not the most exciting thing to go through but Joey made things fun, effective and truly made a difference in my shoulder recovery. I left Cora with no pain, range of motion that was back to normal and gained so much strength back in my shoulder. I initially heard about MAT from my cousin after complaining that I was frequently pulling my…read morecalves while running. He has gone to an MAT practitioner in Kansas City and raved about it. After investigating a bit more, I found Rachael and Root of Motion and decided to give it a try. The results, while gradual, were undeniable. Since starting MAT I haven't had a single calf pull during any of my runs or sprint workouts. Rachael is friendly and fun but a master of her craft and a true professional that takes pride in truly helping her clients. As an example of this, she often opts for 90 minute appointments; this is much more of a physical burden on her -- MAT is often a lot of work for the therapist -- yet she is willing to do it because she believes it yields better results for her clients. She also provides massage work as well; the combo of the two is fantastic. Of course MAT won't solve every problem. But if you've been suffering with injury, pain, or inflexibility, it may be worth a shot. If you're curious, I recommend giving Rachael and MAT a try.
