It's a cute store but the customer service is god awful. I've been there twice and I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, sometimes people have bad days but nope I just think they are just not kind people. It's very interesting because I follow them on instagram and they seem so incredibly kind but I guess that goes to show that social media is fake. I saw a review that said if you ask them a question they look at you like you asked them to make a salad and I just think that's hilarious because it's so true. I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first after reading some mixed reviews. Ronnie, whom we communicated with, isn't the warmest person -- very short and to the point -- but after working with her, I completely understand why. She's all business because her work speaks for itself. The quality is excellent, and the turnaround time was faster than I could've hoped for. My daughter needed a shirt for her college commitment day at school. We checked every major website -- not one had her size available and guaranteed delivery in time. Then, a co-worker who lives near SST mentioned seeing the shop on TikTok (mostly for bed parties, funny enough). At 10 PM on Saturday, I suddenly remembered the TikTok and told my daughter. She messaged them right away. By Sunday morning, they had replied, and after just a few back-and-forth messages, the shirt was ready by Tuesday! The stitching is clean, the colors are vibrant, and it looks amazing. She's all set for Friday's big day, and we couldn't be happier. As a bonus -- the price was the same as Dicks, Fanatics, and Hype & Vice. Great work, fast service, and top-notch quality. Highly recommend! read more

Wow. The owner is one of the rudest woman I have ever met. Like the other reviews, I agree that the staff is less than welcoming and not at all helpful. Unhinged and had a melt down in front of a 7 yr. old shopping for a gift for her mother. Started accusing the girl of breaking a necklace that she never touched. Started yelling at the child and trying to humiliate her in the middle of the store. Unfortunately , I think she might have a serious mental health issue that has gone unchecked. I brought in a button down shirt I bought from another store to get embroidered with a wedding date for a friend getting married. Pros: - it was a very quick turn around, less than a week - price was fair Cons: - they used the wrong color embroidery thread and when I called to ask about it they basically told me it was my fault and nothing they would do. Attaching a photo of the order slip. The colors are all given a number so unless I worked there there's no way for me to know that "color 1011" was light grey and not white which I asked for. She said since I signed off on it it's not there problem. - as the other reviews state the owner, main person who works there is pretty rude and not very helpful Can appreciate there's probably nothing they could have done but would have preferred them to just apologize instead of digging their heels in to try and prove me wrong. They do have a nice selection of gifts but nothing you can't find at other similar stores so I wouldn't recommend based on this experience. read more

Customer service is atrocious. If you prefer to support local business, who appreciates their customers, go to the store on Park Avenue in RVC. They couldn't be nicer or more helpful and they have a lot of the same products there. We gave SST the benefit of the doubt after the first questionable experience, but when we got the same terrible attitude the second time, it confirmed that we were never going back. They don't look at their customers in the eye when responding to them, and it seems like everything is a hassle. Not really sure why they got into a business that requires interaction with people. My experiences over the years (20+) have always been the BEST!! Even with my very tight budget, I am able to give/get custom made gifts and heirloom pieces. They consistently have the coolest and most unique items. It's my go to place when I need something hip and special. The staff has always been very professional and accommodating! I have come up with some pretty creative and cockamamy ideas and they are always able to assist and work with me. I hope they will be around a very long time!!! Wish I could give 0 stars. The woman working here is by far the nastiest bitch I have ever met in my life! It's actually unbelievable how rude she was to me completely unwarranted. Who opens up a business and then treats their potential customers like shit? I went in and she couldn't be bothered with me right off the bat. Like I'm seriously in shock. She intentionally ignored me for like 5 minutes, and then when she finally acknowledged my presence she was extremely short with me, rolled her eyes multiple times at me, and was just downright RUDE to me. All I did was walk in and ask if she could embroider something for me...? I ended up leaving. I think businesses like this often forget that no matter how good your products/services are, it doesn't matter if you're an asshole to your customers... Today I went there to return a gift that I got. it was a $30 wall plaque that said "Home". it was still in the SST cellophane wrapping with the tied bow on top. and it was in the the SST store bag. it was nice, but I had no use for it. I went in the store today to exchange it for something else. I was planning to get a tote bag that was monogrammed that would've been $100+ and I would've use the $30 credit towards my new purchase. A lady came to the register from the back, and I could tell it wasn't going be a good interaction. She seemed to have an attitude right from the start. She Ronni T), who told me she was the owner, said I couldn't exchange because I didn't have a "gift receipt. Really? clearly it came from the store. I didn't want money back. I just wanted to exchange it for something else. I've been living in Rockville Centre for 30+ years, and I never had such a nasty experience with a shop owner. I live in Rockville, Centre, and I like to support local businesses I will never go back there again, which is unfortunate. Today I spoke to my friends about what happened to get their view. They were all shocked that a local business did not take back a $30 item which they could resell and would rather lose a customer. I mentioned to the lady that I will be posting a review and she said " just because you don't get your way, your are posting a review?". hmmm, yes i am! I had two horrible experiences working with this company. Ronni gave horrid customer service and failed to show neither compassion nor care for my concerns. Any time I had called with a question, she sounded irritated that I would even bother her. I'm all for giving people a second chance- I had used this company in the past and still had the same horrible service. I can't believe that I wasted my money with her designs - and I'll never make this mistake again! The shirts came out okay; but why spend money with a company that doesn't believe in putting the customer first? For a few extra dollars I could have had an extremely pleasant experience with another screen printing company.. I've used this shop for embroidery in November for Christmas stockings 3 times now, and that will be my last. Because of the holiday season, their wait time is 2+ weeks. I needed a new stocking for our newest addition, and brought it in before Thanksgiving, knowing their lead time. Well over 2 weeks Went by, no call- I went thinking it was ready and they had ran out of the right color yarn and had to order more... which added another week plus to the waiting- isn't it their job to have the right colors and not at their customers expense (time?).
