It's so strong it's hard to be in his room. This isn't an isolated example because you can smell it in the hallways from other rooms, even when trying to mask with air fresheners which makes it worse. His wet clothes are left there as well as soiled diapers to smell up the room. I visit as often as possible and have to empty trash flush the toilet and vacuum. The pictures are gross, but that poop in there is not from today. Look at the ring that stays after flushing! When you sign in you designate room number and I've talked to much of the staff and nurses. Today I was handed 6 MONTHS OF MAIL. There were important notices about his insurance, his doctors appointment and labs that needed immediate attention. We'll be updating mailing address to my home, but would it been that hard to let us know that there was mail? I've also sent multiple emails to director and staff that has gone unanswered to this date. We're in process of finding a new home for my grandfather.

My friends mother has dementia and it's great to see her in a safe environment. She seems to be doing a whole lot better not that she has the care that she needs. Everyone that I met there was very nice and helpful. I was happy to tell my friend about my experience and felt that I should also write a review about it here too. A family friend was in this facility, Brookdale Lake Mary, and I visited several times. Another…read morefriend was in daily contact with the resident by phone to stay informed. While the facility looks really nice on the ground floor and the dining area looks impressive that's where it ended. My friend (the resident) tended to nap a lot and often missed mealtimes. Sometimes someone would notice and bring them a meal to their room but most often not and they would go long periods without a meal. Once the resident fell out of bed and could not get up so they pushed their wrist alert button to summon help. No one came so they called a friend on their cell phone. That friend called Brookdale and told them the situation only to be told "we are short staffed, will get to them when we can". Things in the residents' room tended to disappear (money, stamps, etc.) and the resident believed they had been taken. This seemed plausible as the items were not found in the room and the resident had not been anywhere to spend the money. Initially the residents' room was very nice and clean but over time it was neglected with horrible stains on the floor, a terrible stench and some roach activity noted. I would never place someone in this facility.

I have been struggling to find new specialists since we moved to the Orlando area from Jacksonville…read morethree years ago. Dr. Bachoura is the third orthopedist I have seen in the area for my hands/wrists and he is absolutely wonderful! I saw the Rothman Orthopedic building in downtown Orlando and thought, "Well, may as well try that practice." I am so happy they have their practice name on a skyscraper! From the moment I walked in, I was helped immediately by friendly staff. I could not use my right hand, and they made sure my new patient check in went smoothly. The reception area is large, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, as are the radiology room and the patient rooms. Wait time was minimal for every step of my visit. I was impressed with the way the doctor and staff listened to my concerns and acknowledged and discussed them all with me. The doctor explained my issues and treatment plan very well in terms I could easily understand, and he was patient in listening to and answering all of my questions. I was also impressed to see very modern technology used which I have not seen in my many past visits to various orthopedists. I was at a level 10 pain when I entered the office. I was at a zero pain level when I left the office! I am very happy and content now knowing I have such a wonderful doctor and team to take care of my hands and wrists! I will be making an appointment with a shoulder specialist at the practice next week, and I will also be making an appointment for my husband (knee) very soon. I had seen a pain management doctor before and was very disappointed with his care and ability to help me with my pain. I was able to get an appointment in a short length of time with Dr. Austell, waited maybe 10 minutes to be seen. The front desk and Dr. Austell's care team, were very accomodating and after Dr. Austell went over my records, I was set up for a procedure at Lake Mary Surgery Center. It was a pain free experience, which I was grateful for, after having alot of pain during a procedure with the last pain doctor I had. I would definitely refer Dr. Austell to my friends and family.
