I left her there on the first day not knowing anyone and my nerves were through the roof. Once I picked her up that day she was so excited about couldn't wait to go back (she never did that in the other school) When I tell you my daughter learned SO much it actually brings tears to my eyes, her teacher Mrs. Liz is the absolute BEST. The place is filled with friendly teachers & staff, all classrooms & facilities are SPOTLESS & most importantly it felt SAFE. I'm so sad my daughter is leaving the school to start kindergarten in the fall but let me just say they are BY FAR the best! Thank you TLE of FRANKLIN LAKES you have exceeded all of our expectations & we will forever thank you for everything! Milania & I will miss you!

We started them off slowly with half days and found that they asked to stay longer. They speak about their friends and teachers at home and show us the projects they've made and things they've learned. Most importantly they're learning to love school and that going to school is fun, which is hopefully something they'll keep with them forever.

She is excited to go to school, comes home having learned something new, and has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically. The school is always spotless, communication is excellent, and every member of the staff genuinely cares about the children and their families. What truly makes Square One special is that they are so much more than a daycare - they are family. When our son was born and our family was going through a difficult time, they went above and beyond to support us with kindness, compassion, and flexibility that we'll never forget. Knowing our daughter is loved and cared for as if she were their own gives us complete peace of mind. We couldn't recommend Square One Kids Academy more highly to anyone looking for exceptional childcare.

We have been so happy with the care and communication at Square One. The detailed updates in the app throughout the day are great, and we are happy with the curriculum. Our son's developmental skills have consistently progressed, and he very obviously loves his teachers. The facility is really nice - big, well organized, and clean, and they take security very seriously which we truly appreciate. There have been a lot of fun extra options to participate in like soccer, a Halloween parade, and a holiday show. We definitely recommend Square One!

Choosing the school for a child is a really big deal for parents. This school is not a choice…read morebecause it does not provide a safe and supportive place for kids to learn. A lot of parents and students have said that this school has some problems. The people in charge of the school are not very nice. The principal is often. Does not listen to people, which makes kids feel scared instead of encouraged. A school should be a place where kids feel respected and heard. That is not what happens here. The teachers are also not very good at their jobs. They can be rude and dismissive which makes kids feel like they do not care. Kids need teachers who're patient kind and want to help them learn but that is not what they get at this school. The whole school has a feeling to it. Kids and parents have said that they do not feel supported and that people are often mean to each other. School should be a place where kids feel happy and excited to learn. That is not what happens at this school. Because of all these problems parents should think carefully before sending their kids to this school. It could be really bad for kids to go to a school that's so stressful and negative. There are other schools that are much better where kids can feel safe and supported and that is where they will do their best. In the end this school is not a place for kids to learn. The mean principal, the teachers and the bad atmosphere make it a place that kids will not thrive in. Your child deserves a better school.

During his time there, he grew tremendously--socially, emotionally, and academically. We found The Little School after making the difficult decision to withdraw him from another local preschool that wasn't providing the extra TLC he needed. From our very first meeting with the owner, Maria, we knew this was something special. It wasn't just a daycare--it was a true home away from home. The love, patience, and individualized care our son received allowed him to thrive in ways we had hoped for. The nurturing environment and genuine dedication of the staff gave him the confidence to grow, learn, and develop a true love of school. If you're looking for a place where your child will not only be safe and receive an excellent early education, but also be loved and cared for like family, look no further than The Little School of Waldwick. We wholeheartedly recommend it to any family seeking a warm, supportive, and enriching environment for their child.

Maria (who runs the center) just flat out cares. She is incredibly thorough in how she and her team look over the kids. She doesn't look at this as "babysitting", she looks at this as a proper school. She highly emphasizes education and constant broadening of the childrens' horizons, and she knows all of the kids in the school very well. Even more, as our son was starting their program she actively encouraged us to stop by with him after hours multiple times, to acclimate him to the environment before starting up. She did everything she could to make sure our child had the smoothest startup possible, and as a result he adjusted really quickly all things considered. I cannot recommend this school enough, it has been an entirely positive experience and I feel my child is being cared for so much more than at some of the local franchised daycares we visited. (Also regarding cost, interestingly they're on the better value side of tuition rates for the area)
