They are prompt, cost effective, sensitive, and pay attention to their clients needs. (Says much!)…read more I have had 2 long lived pets (14-15 yrs) and have lived in both Canada and in the USA. Shopping for a vet is easy - a great veterinarian like Erin Ridge is a gift. They have been my monthly vet clinic for allergy shots, annual exams and more since I returned to Canada 1.5 yrs ago with a 13 yr old dog needing allergy shots. The eventual came, and they were completely reasonable with costs, reality, cremation and the remains. They are highly recommended!

Recently transferred to Erin Ridge Vet, on a recommendation by a friend. So happy I did!…read more My 12.5 years old miniature schnauzer has been suffering from some major issues and the care I have received by Dr. Lausier, Dr. Dodd and all the vet assistants has been nothing short of spectacular! From making me feel comfortable about all the treatment options (based on budget) and follow-up care, it is clear that everyone at Erin Ridge really care about your pet. Plus, Dr. Dodd also brings Chinese Veterinarian medicine to the table - SUPER interesting! The vet clinic is clean - washrooms and coffee are available if you have to wait...although to date I don't think I've had to sit once before being admitted to an exam room. Prices are far more competitive than my previous clinic. An exam fee is ~$80. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for compassionate vet services that don't feel like you're being ripped off.

Absolutely appalling treatment from a long-trusted clinic…read more I've been a loyal client at Oxford Vet for over 7 years and never imagined I'd be writing a review like this. We brought our dog in for a laceration repair, paid nearly $1000 for the procedure, and followed their instructions to the letter--including returning a week later for stitch removal. Within an hour of leaving the clinic, the wound reopened. We brought our dog back immediately, worried and looking for help. Instead, the male veterinarian came out with an aggressive, condescending attitude. He instantly blamed us, accusing us of not properly monitoring our dog and insisting we must have let him lick the wound--despite the fact that our dog had his cone on at all times and was closely supervised. When I expressed concern, he snapped that he "won't tolerate me taking it personally" and told me I was welcome to take my dog elsewhere. This was after I had just paid him $1000 and my dog was now in pain again. Only after insisting he take responsibility did he agree to re-sedate and re-stitch the wound--then told me I would not be welcome back to the clinic. There was no empathy, no reassurance--only arrogance, defensiveness, and blatant disrespect. He even said I was "making a big deal out of nothing," as if my pet's ongoing pain was irrelevant. His tone was hostile, and his body language was confrontational, as though daring me to challenge his "20 years of experience." Sadly, after this experience, I read other reviews and realized I'm far from the first person to be treated this way. Multiple customers have reported this same vet's aggressive, rude behavior and complete lack of bedside manner. The front desk staff at Oxford have always been wonderful, and my past experiences were positive--but this incident was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. I won't ever return, and I strongly urge others to read the negative reviews and think twice before trusting this clinic with their beloved pets

I am writing this review just to make people aware of this business. Be cautious about what this…read morecompany promises to do because they do NOT follow through on the services/care they say they will provide for your pet. I had my cat boarded here in August of 2012. The owner, Marilyn, was very helpful and friendly during communication before I had my cat boarded there. Unfortunately, it seems as if as soon as she had my business, she didn't feel the need to follow through on what she said she was going to do. She said she would put my pet in a room with a window (which she did not do). She also said my cat would be able to go outside with the other cats up to eight hours a day. Since my cat is an indoor/outdoor cat who thrives with being outside, this was the only reason I boarded him here. She also said if he was shy around the other cats she would let him outside on his own at night. Marilyn also said she would give me 'regular updates' about how my cat was doing. None of these things were followed through on. When questioned, she would not admit that she had promised these things (even though I have emails proving the opposite) and claimed that my cat was 'too anxious' and 'untrusting' and therefore would not be allowed outside. I believe that she did not show him any affection or one on one attention and he was neglected and left in a room by himself for two weeks. For a very social cat, this would be very difficult. Anyway, just wanted to let people know to be careful with this business. It seems like they are too busy to give the animals the proper care and attention they deserve and that their customers are paying for.
