Really like Dr. Wood, she is thoughtful, and loves to chat with your pet to make them comfy.

I have had this problem with other vets suggesting surgery that was not necessary. If you are looking for someone who will tell you the truth and not waste your money this is the place. Nothing but professionalism here. Have never been treated anything but amazing. They are good with animals and if you tell them something they listen. I have had many bad vet experiences over the years with a chronically ill dog. These people have been a lifesaver for my family. Kind and compassionate and the place has never been anything but sparkling clean in all the times I have been there.

The only issues I had was we sat there waiting for 35 minutes before we were able to go into a room. There was only one other client the entire time I sat there with my stressed out kitten, with an empty room available. It would have been nice to bring the kitten in a little early to let him out of his carrying cage and let him get familiar with the room. The other issue was when we were finally brought into the room, I let him walk around and realized he had walked through a huge PUDDLE OF URINE left on the floor from the previous appointment. That concerned me regarding the lack of cleanliness and other health issues that may be overlooked at this clinic. I informed the vet who apologized and eventually had one of the girls mop it up. I don't know if I will give this clinic another opportunity as I have never had these issues at Stony Vet Clinic.

The facility itself is very nice and clean with plenty of space in the waiting area. There's also quite a large selection of pet food and supplies available for purchase. I arrived 15 min early (as requested) so they could get all my info since I'm a new customer. After we got all the paperwork squared away I had a seat with my dog. I waited in the main area for 5 min or so before I was ushered into an exam room. I waited another 15 min past my appointment time before the vet showed up. That's one of my biggest pet peeves, because as a customer I'm expected to show up on time, as should the person I have an appointment with. I do understand that sh*t happens, and luckily I didn't have any other appointments that morning. It would have been nice if someone would have popped their head in and said "The vet is running a bit behind, sorry. She'll be with you shortly." But alas, that did not happen. The vet who examined my dogs was Dr. R.M. Pfeifer and she was AWESOME!!! She was kind and gentle with my dogs. Her exam was very thorough, and she made sure to point out that my dogs were very well cared for (healthy weight, good muscle tone, nice coat, nails trimmed, clean ears etc). I really appreciate hearing that from a professional. She had another lovely lady shadowing her and we all had a nice chat. I'm also going to acknowledge (as some other reviewers did) that some the reception staff seemed a bit...gruff. Let me clarify, no one was rude to me. Just a bit on edge in general. I also understand that it likely comes from getting crapped on day in and day out by customers. But ladies, if you're reading this it wouldn't hurt to lighten up a bit! It's ok to smile! Anyway, my dogs were well taken care of which is the important part. I can't wait to see everyone's happy, smiling faces when I return. :)

I love his calm demeanour with both my cat and dog and my dog is always at ease with him. I never feel rushed and Dr. Stretch always take the time to answers my questions and my concerns. They don't over charge and my encounters and phone calls with the front reception staff have always been very pleasant and helpful! Please never retire Doctor Stretch!! :)

I have been taking all of my ' fur babies' here, since moving to the area 3 yrs ago…read more I highly recommend Dr. Fryer and her staff, they are very kind, compassionate and genuine. A year ago my Best Friend and companion Bart had been diagnosed with a very rare condition. We tried everything to save him, Dr. Fryer had no problems trying to treat him and realizing that he needed an ER. She had them ready and waiting for us upon arrival, in Edmonton. She also kept in very close contact on his condition. Late one evening it was apparent that, Bart was not doing well at all. At home he was unable to get proper oxygen and had seized. I was alone at home with him, on a farm with no vehicle. When Dr Fryer called, I was in tears almost unable to speak. She and her husband took the time to rush to help my boy. Unfortunatly he was just too sick and we made the decision to let him go. I was beyond consoling at this time, but the Dr and her husband were very kind a sincere with trying to comfort me over my loss. I now have another pup who unfortunatly has a bowel disease, that has required many visits to the vet. He is very well cared for by the staff and Dr Fryer. They are very knowledgable and highly helpful whether on the phone giving advise (free of charge) or in person. I've never been told to run expensive or unnecessary tests. It is unfortunate that the previous reviewer had a bad experience. I would not hesitate to have my fur babies treated here, by the fabulous and knowledgeable staff.

I phoned dr fryer and explained my situation and she met me and my wife after hours at her clinic. She was so kind and caring with us and our lily she took her time and helped us through this difficult time. What a wonderful old school vet that isnt just after the money thanks dr fryer you will always be remembered in our hearts.

First impressions of the kennel was it's disgusting... run down, The receptionist mumbled and talked fast I told her what I wanted done same as when I called and booked. They walk you past the groomer and you place your dog In a kennel... Dog clippings from multiple dogs wedged up by a broom Which is the grossest thing I've Seen. The groomer didn't even acknowledge me nothing other then have a "I hate my life look on her face" My fiancé picks up our puppy and she's got short hair..... Only thing left long is her tail... I called and they had nothing but attitude ... To sum this place up avoid it. It's run down, disgusting, they don't follow instruction, zero remorse, so much attitude, I will never be back. Beware of this place. Waste of time, disgusting and should be closed.

I will always live with the guilt of not checking the facility out before I left my dogs there. They are both old, both small, both on meds. My dogs were only at this kennel 4 days and in that time they both lost weight, I don't think they were fed, I don't think they were given their meds either. My smallest guy, only 6.5lbs lost 2lbs in 4 days. He was so hungry he actually ate a small rock that he threw up. He caught a digestive infection while in there as well. He's been sick since I picked him up a week ago, been in vets care, he's too old and his little body won't recover. When I picked them up they were both lethargic and seemed weak. They were stuffed in a small cage and had probably spent the whole time in there. Honestly, this place is just horrible!
