[ Overall Impression | TLDR] Visit Date: Nov 7, 2025 10:45…read morePM to 12:10 AM Smooth ER visit on a weekday night. Staff remained alert, kind, and quick despite being short handed. Facility is clean, modern, and practical for overnight care. Parking tight but manageable if you arrive before midnight. [ Parking] * Don't forget your parking pass with you * Handicap [Sticker]? Use @ round about valet * Garage access P2 floor and above before noon (fills fast by lunch) * Patient drop off zone near ER entrance * Limited short term parking after 9 p.m. * Use bathroom before leaving in case of long exit line * Trucks not recommended unless parked on higher levels for space; lower levels may stick out [ Building & Layout] * Entrance positioned too close to garage, causing traffic congestion when busy due to overlapping entry and exit points [ Bathroom / Amenities] * Stroke patients can't use the restroom until cleared by a physical therapist; must use an ergonomic bucket on the bed (covered) * Chilly overall unless sitting near the window where the sun shines through [ Kitchen & Refreshments] * N/A at the moment [ Surroundings] * Strong city views spanning from St. Louis to Midtown to Clayton [ Interior & Atmosphere] * Modern and soothing pastel color scheme [ Staff] * (Main) Very friendly and urgent (Amanda) * Short staffed but responsive * Echocardiogram staff kind and efficient [ Notable Details] * [ ER] * Staff show sincerity and urgency even on non weekends * Wait time moderate; triage moves efficiently * Security check and ID required at entry * Visitors limited after midnight (confirm at front desk) * PM to AM (Weekday Fri): Visitation for Admission [ Internet (Likely Fiber)] * Download 177.9 Mbps * Upload 124.1 Mbps * Wi Fi stable in room (possibly router or emitter near window) * Plenty of outlets for laptops and chargers * Windows cannot open (5th floor)

First impressions are everything and it didnt happen for me at this hospital…read more Parking is literally non-exsistant. I assume due to construction there is only 1 garage for both the hospital and the dr bldg. Don't bother trying to get a spot as you go up, just go straight to roof where I eventually found one. It cost to park, take your ticket, they'll give you maybe $1 off if you validate it. If you can't find a spot, valet the car. It costs as well. The new concept of everybody checking in at the front before going to their respective waiting rooms is here. Its confusing since no one seems to want to help. Again first timers be aware of your surroundings. Communication lacks here with the particular office I was at. They may care but its more of a revolving door. The nurse i dealt with could use a few lessons in her approach. I won't get into details but if I stick with this particular practice I'll be going to their satellite location, not returning here.

I went to SSM Health St. Mary's ER after being referred by my doctor due to worsening symptoms from…read morea complex, progressive condition involving active tissue necrosis, rapid abdominal edema causing severe positional pressure, and neurological involvement. My doctor had already advocated for proper evaluation. During the visit, the PA documented false information, including stating I had "no medical history" despite my MyChart records going back to 2001. Key symptoms I reported were not documented at all. The visit resulted in minimal workup and discharge. When I later attempted to correct the inaccurate information in my medical record under HIPAA, the hospital has ignored my requests. I have called multiple times requesting the amendment form and have received no response or action. This is not a minor documentation error -- false statements were placed in my chart that misrepresent both my history and what occurred during the visit. I am currently declining with active, progressive symptoms. The combination of falsified charting during the visit and the hospital's refusal to address record accuracy when requested has made it significantly harder to receive appropriate care elsewhere. This level of disregard for accurate medical documentation while a patient is visibly and actively ill is unacceptable.

I had what was, without question, the most frightening medical experience of my life at this…read morehospital. After my appendectomy, I was discharged despite having clear signs that I was not well enough to do so. My hgb dropped after surgery to a 7.7 AFTER a blood transfusion. My blood pressure which is normally high was at 111 (very low) for me. And the medical team believed those were safe signs for me to be discharged. 6 hours later my heart rate is at 120+ while at rest for many hours and my hgb dropped to 6.3 when I had to painfully return to the ER and wait 5-6 hours to be finally brought to the ICU. There I was given two more blood transfusions and doctors said they saw "a little blood in my abdomen that is totally normal after this type of surgery" I don't believe it was a small amount of blood for ALL of this to happen to me. Looking back, it is terrifying to think about what could have happened to me if I had waited longer to seek help. What was most upsetting was feeling dismissed when I was clearly experiencing symptoms that suggested something was wrong. As a patient, I trusted the medical team to recognize potential complications and keep me safe. The physical recovery has been difficult, but the emotional impact has been just as significant. I now have serious anxiety about seeking medical care because of this experience. I lost confidence in the hospital's judgment and in the way my health concerns were handled. I am sharing this review so that others can be aware of my experience and so the hospital can take a hard look at how postoperative patients are evaluated before discharge. No patient should leave feeling unheard or find themselves back in the hospital facing a potentially life-threatening complication shortly after being told they were well enough to go home. Unfortunately, because of what happened, I do not feel comfortable returning to this hospital in the future.

Mammograms This can…read morebe a very sensitive topic and a scary one quite frankly. I utilized this facilities imaging lab for my mammogram for this year! The check in process was a little odd meaning the patient registration clerks took a little longer than normal to check me in. Their explanation was "it's a new system" totally understandable. The waiting area was clean and kind of chilly! There was a TV for your entertainment. The wait was not long at all, then the technician called me back. This part right here, is the best part! That technician was amazing! Did you hear that? Totally amazing!! She was very professional, and addressed me by my last name. She was kind, compassionate, caring, and totally gentle. I felt so comfortable and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. The tech shared that she has been doing this for many years, it was very obvious from her mannerisms, and the way she conducted her self on the machine and professionally. She guided me through the process, kept me informed, gave great instructions, and I couldn't be more pleased! I received a survey concerning her and my visit later, I did not hesitate to provide the highest scoring possible. Some important takeaways: Although I was on Christian Northwest's campus my mammogram was booked through Washington University. In case you are interested in going there. There was not a co-pay or any cost due to it being a preventative service for my annual . The last thing if you're wondering, no, it did not hurt!! Now keep in mind, pain tolerance varies per person and our tomatoes are all different sizes but it did not hurt!
