My nurse who helped give me my life back .
    Hope D.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, it scared me like it does every one. I came to Siteman and had the most amazing oncologist and her team helping me all the way. They made me feel very comfortable and talked to me through every step we were taking. I don't recall ever having a bad experience with any of the staff here. From housekeeping to my Dr.s . Everyone was always so nice and helpful. They were all very compassionate from the very 1st visit to the last. I want to thank each one of them for being there with/for me.

Siteman saved me from my cancer and saved my life. The staff answered every question so I know what was going to happen with my treatment.

Extreme long wait. Took a lot of blood which I could not get the results. Was sending us to get an entire body nerve test. I have already had one on my right leg. That was very painful. I actually was in the restroom when he decided all this. I don't even remember the other things we were supposed to have done. Other people were coming and going quickly. My husband got the same paperwork even though he had an established history with pain mgt Dr's. Ours just moved out of state. I had proven problems also but he was much worse. We never heard a word from anyone after I am sure they didn't even do the test or we should have heard something. But they didn't even have results when I called them. Think they just wanted the money. This was several years ago when they showed 7 locations. Hopefully they are cleaning up their act.

She stated she would not consider other options or have any discussion about other options of hormone replacement. By the way-she spent no time at my inital visit explaining what pellets she was going to give me and what they did. It was only after having complications that I really started doing my own research and wanted more bioidentical options. I had no idea my question about altering my treatment would be so offensive to Dr. Maupin. I guess I should not be surprised since there is not as much profit in creams and other forms of hormone replacement. I have no problem spending money-I just wanted more tailored options for my healthcare. My advice is RUN AWAY! Any practitioner who will only offer options that make her money despite not necessarily being FDA approved and no options for tailoring care has no business being in healthcare. BioBalance is not about helping women. It is all about the bottom line. If I could give BioBalance health and Dr. Maupin a zero rating I would not have offered the one star. They do not deserve it.

However, when I went to use the women's bathroom, there was literal poop on the walls and in each stall. I was afraid to put my bag down. They were decent. I had to make another visit there this evening, into now the AM, and I was demanded by my doctor's office, which is with Mercy, to go because I got up to make a phone call, saw stars, and was on the floor hearing "hello." Mind you, I was still having awful pain in my feet along with water weight, which no one there was willing to go that far to figure out. Long story short, I was in a lot of pain. I don't take pain medicine. The last time in 10 years I took pain meds was on April 3rd for being bitten in the face by a pit bull. So tonight I asked for Tylenol. YES, TYLENOL.it had been very clear they pre judged me for seeking pain meds, because I smoked good marijuana before I went. Its legal, I didnt drive why would they not drug test me right off the bat or simply ask. I had to ask when I could go home..if I hadn't I would have sat in my hall room, I wonder who cares that the first that happened when I walked in my front door was hit the floor & FWI: im not falling because im high.

I like that Barnes offers a stand alone service for employers to send their employees for routine services. I love the convenience of the location and private lot. The waiting area can fill-up fast but they move people out pretty quickly. My employer sends all employees here for physicals, tb test, screenings, etc. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Whenever I have had to go, it was always scheduled ahead of time, so I don't experience long wait times in the lobby area. Also, one time I had to drop by to obtain copies unexpectedly and they were able to conveniently assist with pulling year old records requested by my employer and complete paperwork in a timely manner. The exam rooms, testing areas and lobby are maintained. I did have a questionable encounter recently when I had to go for a TB test. The tester was not wearing gloves for the injection, which I had to question. I know that I will be back for future visits because this is where we are sent for various medical services related to work.
