There are only two teachers here. But has more than 4 rooms in there. Students could run between each room. Teachers don't know how to regulate kids' behaviors. And the principal doesn't have a permit for the aftercare program. She told me they had waived from town. The waive program is not for the after-care school program as other daycare provided. It is like a kind of learning program, not a similar aftercare program as you know. Also later, she deletes the after-school website. She never told us this before we enrolled in the program.

But at the end when she came home every day…read moresaying the teachers were being mean, yelling at, and picking on her, my gut told me she needs to be somewhere else. It started when she came home with diaper rashes so bad I could not touch her to clean her or put her in her bath water on separate occasions. They were told several times she was super sensitive down there and it only takes a second to look. Then it was the call to the Division of Child and Family Services because she had a stain on her shirt and a leaf or two in her hair. Because I missed the memo that playing outside with your child in the morning instead of shoving a screen in their face was wrong. Then it was the push to get her evaluated for every little problem. She is an only child, so she was a little late to talking but once she started, she has not stopped LOL. But there was no need for a speech evaluation and I told them that but I did it anyway because I want to do whatever will help my child grow and thrive. They nearly laughed at the end of the evaluation because it was pretty much a waste of their time, but whatever. Then it was them saying they will help with potty training and telling me every day she wasn't asking or going potty at all. And that her behavior was "out of control" and not listening to them even though on two separate occasions she came home with bite marks from another student. My daughter can be a handful, there is no denying that. Then it was them "removing" her after giving me three weeks to change a 3 year old behavior. She is not somewhere else and OH MY GOD she is miraculously using the potty, listening to the teachers, playing with the other children. It was not my child that needs to be evaluated in this situation, maybe it's their teachers or methods.

The owner is passionate about child development and the curriculum fosters a happy day of learning while maintaining a habitual routine that helps all students. The facility is state of the art and very clean, I don't want to jinx myself but my son has never been sick in the twelve months he has attended. The teachers and administrative staff are on the ball with keeping the center safe and clean. Most importantly, my son is smiling and playing everytime I pick him up, which is a testament to the environment of the center. Thank you TLE!

My first born went to two Goddard Schools, in #NorthBrunswickGoddardSchool and #BranchburgGoddardSchool. As I was expecting my second born, I obviously turned to one as well which is near my work. Also a current co-worker has one of there children currently enrolled and soon to be expecting her second one soon. So with no question asked, my husband and I (with another co-woker) went to take a tour of this facility. We were looking for January/February (2018) enrollment but was told there was a waiting list and the next availability would be in March 2018. I asked if there is anything we could do to ensure our spot for March, and was told by the owner Laura that taking a tour would put our name on the wait list automatically, nothing else needed. I went above and beyond with my work to get a delay start of March so my New Born could go to the Goddard school as preferred. I recently called at the end of November to ensure my son's guaranteed spot for March was still available. First, I spoke with the director, who was very standoffish on the phone. She informed me there wasn't any spots available until April 2018 now. I was SHOCKED! I had asked for the director, Laura who at that time was not available. Few days later, I had called back to speak with her and left her a msg. She left me a voice mail, stating "my director had informed you about everything already, if you are still unsure give me a call back." She's lucky that I did not hear that voicemail until I had called her back already, otherwise she would have gotten a piece of my mind. When I called back, Laura informs me that the next availability is early Spring, once I asked what that means she says Early May!!! I was very disappointed. Still keeping my composure, I had asked how is that possible and when was anyone going to inform me about this change..? I had sacrificed my maternity leave to ensure my son had a spot in March. She stated during the time of the tour that they would contact us when a spot was available a deposit was not needed because the tour was sufficient. The story changed when I inquired further. She explained that we do not call to let you know, if you want to ensure your spot, you need to put in a deposit." I was stunned! I told her that this is new and this information was not told. I continued on by saying that I had specifically asked her about a deposit and had brought my checkbook as well to make one. Her response was, "I apologize if you did not understand me, but this is how we have been doing it for past 23 years, this is nothing new." (talk about customer service people!) Biting my tongue and keeping my chin in mind, I had asked her if she could email me the enrollment paperwork since I wanted to have a guaranteed spot for next availability, I would try to drop it off or drop it in the mail with check etc. Now, 24 hours later, the next day, I have NOTHING! Not a single paperwork in my email inbox. Later that day, I had confirmed with both my husband and my co-woker who went with us to confirm if I was having a Pregnancy Brain and totally misunderstand her during the tour of having a spot available in March and tour is sufficient enough OR she did NOT mention any deposit? Both confirmed my understanding. So clearly Laura, you had provided me with wrong info and two other people confirms it. To make this even more interesting, my co-worker whom I recommended this place to, took a tour, and during the tour, she was asked to make a deposit. Now, her New Born has a guaranteed spot for March. As you can imagine, this is why I feel we are being ignored and purposely not provided a spot, interestingly enough, both of my co-workers are White. During the tour, I had noticed very little to hardly any minorities in the entire school. In the current New Born Classroom, there were zero minorities! And they are clearly going above and beyond to not only be very unprofessional, and providing me with wrong information to me just to ensure that my mixed African -American/ Asian child would not get into this facility. Our three boys have very different personalities and they are very happy here…read more All my boys really thrived in the Montessori experience--they had the "explosion" of words that we had heard about and my older one is reading and writing and he is not even in kindergarten yet. Precious Gems Montessori is really nurtured their curiosity and gave them structure and freedom of expression. Most importantly, the teachers at PGM are incredible--some of the most gentle, loving, and intelligent people around. I think Precious Gems Montessori gave our boys great social skills, a love of learning, and a lot of self-confidence! We are very happy with it and would recommend it to others.

The teachers really push the kids to excel in their academics. They have a nice mixture of academics and athletics. School meals gave changed to healthier choices and served fresh daily. Parking lot is also used for the kids to play and their is also a toddler lot in the front of the school. The parent association has strived to make things better for the students and are trying to improve communications with the parents on school and fundraising activities. My son has entered kindergarten and has shown dramatic changes in a month of attending. I highly recommend you send your children here for a quality education.

The…read moreacademic expectations placed upon for example a student in 1st grade is elevated to the expectations of a 2nd grader. So each grade level is actually one grade level up. This creates an environment of stress for the child to reach those expectations. The pick up is chaotic. Very noisy in the cafeteria. It takes the teachers a long time to escort the child to the cafeteria for dismissal. There is no grassy area for the playground and thus children must play in the parking lot which is not safe. The massive amount of homework assigned to the student can be overwhelming so be prepared for that. Their school uniforms can only be purchased at one particular store and they are expensive. Overall, the school needs improvements to help children have fun while learning and not experience pressure to perform at the teacher's high expectations.

For the parents, it's an intimate community where you feel part of a school as the PTA and more events for the families to connect are offered. Since it follows Readington Twp's school schedule, know that there is a spring break, holiday break, etc. (~ 4 weeks/year and a day here and there) where the school is closed and you'll need to find alternate care. Sending our child there is still well worth this logistical gymnastics we need to do a few times a year to accommodate the weeks off.

My son has been going to the Easton Ave KinderCare since he was about 4.5 months old (he's now 18…read moremonths). I felt very comfortable leaving my little baby in Ms. Amanda's care. My husband and I toured MANY daycares in the area and decided to enroll in the Easton Ave KinderCare after meeting Ms. Amanda and visiting her classroom. As a first time mom, she made going back to work much easier for me and I love being able to check the app throughout my work day to see pictures, videos, food, diaper and nap updates. I've also been amazed at how much my son has learned at such a young age. Recently my son has transitioned to the toddler classroom with Ms. Sue (and Ms. Marcie in the afternoons) and he is absolutely thriving! There is structure and planned activities for the kids each day. Ms. Sue sends the most wonderful daily updates, pictures and videos. It's the highlight of my work day seeing how much fun my son is having in the toddler classrooms.
