Living in Upstate NY we wouldn't be able to get down there until the weekend. No problem, they held it for us until we drove down this past Saturday. When we got to the shop, it even had a slip of paper with her name on it so it wouldn't accidentally be sold. It was the last of that size and brand. And since it's now after Labor Day, I'm guessing they won't restock until next season. I don't know the guy's name behind the counter, but he did mention he's been surfing the Jersey shore over 50 years. He was amazing. He was the benchmark for awesome customer service. He set up her board with the fins and leash. Gave her a tip about securing the leash when putting the board away. He gave her all kinds of other advice and easily answered every question she threw at him. Now, to put this in perspective, we had been to a shop in Rhode Island and the guy behind the counter was trying to sell her a more advanced board that she didn't want. I told her not to get it. Get the one you want, develop your muscle memory, then get a hard board later down the road. And when I told this to the guy at Ocean Outfitters, he said "Yes! That's what we tell the people that come here for lessons." All in all a very cool experience. I would definitely be back. Will definitely check here first for any other surfing needs.

Celeste is incredibly patient, encouraging, and always makes the lessons fun and engaging with songs and games. She gave the kids choices, built their confidence, and skillfully guided them to the next level with each session. The children absolutely adored her and looked forward to their time in the pool! Celeste was also wonderfully communicative with us as adults, keeping us informed, offering tips, and being flexible with scheduling to accommodate our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better swim experience. Thank you, Celeste and Shore Swim School, for making water safety such a joyful and positive journey!

Our family had a positive experience with Beach Babies on Hudson Way, in Rehoboth Beach. My…read moregranddaughter went there for 5yrs. There was a wonderful group of people who worked there that treated us like family and adored my granddaughter and she loved them all right back. I only have good things to say about this center, and all of their staff that have worked there through-out those five years. Our family and granddaughter have wonderful memories from daycare there from trunk r treating at Halloween time, to Christmas parties, and themed weeks, etc. We are also thankful they had a pre-school graduation with cap and gown for her, because her kindergarten class in elementary school did not offer that, so at least she got to have that experience with Beach Babies.
