We finished early and with only about 45 minute's notice, they came and got us at 5:45pm instead! The captains have all been friendly. You can sit outside or in their cabin. They're also knowledgeable about the trails in the area; some are not very well maintained and they will give you a head's up on those.

A highlight of the trip was a great salmon dip that Glen had made for us, and also all the his stories. We waited until the last day of our trip and got stuck with this company. They claimed it was due to coast guard restrictions to 6 people, but there were two open spots on our tour, so our newborn in a carrier did not take up a spot from another paying customer. They were late to pick us up because they allegedly had trouble with our boat, so we were downgraded to the cheaper boat and were only able to tour the bay for an hour instead of two. However, it was more likely due to insufficient staffing since they have four boats, and they could have tried to shift the couple remaining tours to accommodate their delay. Luckily, the captain was fantastic and did the best he could with the time that we did get on the tour.

Received only one text reply which was a sarcastic response without answering my questions. No reply to follow up texts. It was me my husband, our two teenage kids and toddler. My daughter hooked a halibut within the first couple of minutes of dropping her line at the first spot, which got us all very excited. We all really enjoyed ourselves, especially the kids. We went to multiple spots to maximize the amount of fish which we all caught our limit without any problems and also was able to hook a handful of cods. Being that it was a slightly larger boat none of us got seasick, which I was really concerned for being that we are very prone to motion sickness. It was a beautiful day on the sea and we were blessed with beautiful sunny weather. We even got to witness orcas, puffins and sea otters. The office staff was so helpful and responsive to my questions. Due to the laws pertaining to the halibut fishing I took a Salmon and Rockfish trip on the Whistler with Captain Avery Ault. The boat was clean and well maintained. The young man who was our deckhand was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. The captain worked hard at getting us on fish which he was very successful. All of us on the boat met our daily limits in Rockfish and Salmon. Overall a great day. Highly recommend this company!
