I was on my way to work when my car broke down. I managed to idle it home and tried to call a cab. I was unable to get through so I decided to book an appointment online. I have both called and booked rides multiple times now. No contact what so ever. It has now been between 4 to 4 and a half hours and still no contact. Made a reservation last night for 7:00 AM ride to the airport. 7:15 called to find out where the cab was. They didn't have the reservation, saying they weren't supposed to take reservations after a certain time or some such nonsense. had to wake somebody up to make my flight. Very bad service. I pre-ordered a cab the night before to go to the airport. It was still 15 late. The driver got lost WITH GPS. Incredible!! Then he told me he would only charge me$30 for a $36 fare because we drove all over searching for the airport. So I get the credit card bill later and it's $36. Don't use these guys! Weekdays we I can put in a time order no problem the dispatcher gets us where we need to go for our jobs. On the weekends there is one particular dispatcher when he takes over from the morning guy he never up holds the time orders he makes excuses why our cab can not pick us up even though the time order was put in at 7am or 8am and our time order would be at 130 this guy needs to stop dispatching. I've used this cab service at least 2 dozen times, but am now finally fed up with them. No matter how many hours in advance I call to schedule to be picked up, they are usually 20 mins to well over an hour late. Today, I called to check the status of my cab after an hour had passed from the scheduled pick-up time (I had scheduled it 3.5 hours before). The dispatcher told me a cab was still "nowhere near" to pick me up. No ETA. I cancelled it and will just wait a little longer for alternate transportation. This is a frustrating experience. Luckily, I was intending on this cab to take me home from work and not TO work, or I'd be exceptionally late. Most of the drivers are friendly, but their dispatchers don't have it together. I don't recommend Saint Charles Yellow Cab, unless you've got all day to wait around and don't care if your cab is on time. There are plenty of other cab services in the area. I will be trying each of them, and will be on here to review my experiences with their competition. read more

The cities change but cabs stay the same. Kind of. St. Charles Yellow Cab is a typical cab company. You call, they pick you up and take you some place. Nothing special. They do take credit/debit cards, but in my experience the cab drivers don't have card readers set up and rely on the old sliding imprint method. But they've always been prompt the couple times I've used them, which is great. read more

I work at the hotel they are parked out in front of in the photo on the web page how ironic as they would spent 2 hours communicating with my coworker to get me to work from my home in st peters only to wait 2 hours than be told they must have a $20 cash deposit to take me to work after 20 phone call were exchanged between their dispatcher and my coworker who told them i was instructed by our boss to pay out of the cash drawer after dropping me at work. I put on a mask and his response was I didn't need one. He'd had his two shots. I was told 25-30 minutes originally when I called at 9:12 pm after a 11 hour shift. When I called back 45 minutes later I was told my driver would be here in less than 10... 20 minutes later , my driver finally showed up. An hour wait with no apology or discount for making me wait 30 minutes longer than my original quote of a pick up time. I've used their services atleast 5 times and each time the cab ride is unpleasant. It's mostly because the cars are in bad condition. Smelling of cigarettes, stained seats, creaking doors you name it. Cab drivers don't have card readers, it's an obsolete method to write down the card details. read more

I call3d for a cab was told 20 minutes needed a ride home bad. A half hour later no cab.I called Yellow Cab back and asked about the cab was told the cab was not dispatched out, said dispatch trouble, he asked if I wanted a cab said it would be another 30 minutes, no sorry , no anything, very short asked if I wanted cab , told him a half an hour ago and to forget it. Every time I need to go to the airport I always use this cab company and the same driver (John) he is always early and very kind they take info from my previous trips to better my experience such as where I usually get picked up and go. they always know that I want John. I especially enjoy that it is a flat rate to the airport ($17.00) I definitely recommend this cab company! Top notch!!! read more

Came on time. The dispatcher is pleasant. I like how they text when when they are arriving and after the trip with a digital receipt. The driver obviously smokes in the car but not when we were in it. Thanks Jim for a safe ride to the airport. Decent alternative to uber if u have to. read more

Found a Review on this Jake Character and it made me laugh so hard i almost shit myself, the review reads ( I Will only call when jake is working becuase he is the most polite and courteous dispatcher they have working there, and also goes on to say, when he gives you a pickup time it is always 100% on time everytime) If there has ever been a more inaccurate review of a Dispatcher this one takes the cake, Becuase whenever jake works you'll be Lucky if he even answers the phone , becuase 95% of the time while hes working , if you want to call it working, hes usually sleeping, so usually you dont get an answer when hes working, and if he tells you a time , like lets say hes says 20 minutes for a cab, after 20 minutes when you call back to find out where your cab is he'll say "Should'nt be any longer than 20 minutes again, and then your Lucky if your cab shows up in an hour, and thats counting on hoping he actually remembered to put your cab call in to begin with, becuase usually HE IS SO STONED HE DONT EVEN REMEMBER YOU CALLING TO BEGIN WITH, and then he will argue with you when you tell him that you called over an hour ago, and finally you'll get so fustrated by then you wont even care to even bother with getting a cab, but hey he is a wonderful dispatcher LOL!!!! read more

Last night your cab driver was picking up 2 older women with groceries. One had a walker, the other was trying to lift the heavy grocery bags and having trouble. I called to the cab driver that these women need help - he did nothing. I helped put the bags in the cab and while these women were trying to get in the cab - he just stood there and waited for them without trying to help them again. What a horrible creature this cab driver was. I will never use your company after watching what I saw and will tell everyone I know in St. Charles about it. read more
