They will find whatever excuse they can possibly find no matter how illegal and completely fraud it will will not I won a $7,000 jackpot they refused to pay me they said my license was invalid. That's lately false my ID is perfectly valid. They assorted me off the property all because I was raising my voice when they wouldn't give me a legitimate reason to not pay out the money. I've been going there for many years and because I won that jackpot, they banned the 's honest truth. I'm filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau and I'm getting an attorney involved. They don't deserve a rating since 0 isn't an option. We bought coupons in 2021, than they closed. We were told to hang on to them and they would honor them once opened. Called again in 2022 we were told the same thing. Not once did they ask if they could contact us. Called now 2023 and they will not honor them. We will never visit them or recommend them. read more

My brother loves the buffet at this casino.... I really can't understand why. The buffet is the smallest casino buffet I've ever been to. I believe there were about 4 sections to select food from including; desserts, salads, and entrees. We went for the crab legs as I was told that it's a heck of a deal. Pros: Staff kept the crab legs full. I never really had to wait long for them to be refilled. Cons: The buffet is super tiny and the other selections were minimal. Overall, our visit was ok. We only had to wait for about 30 minutes for a table on a Sat evening. The staff were friendly and attended to our requests. The cost per person was 20.00 plus tax. I didn't really venture around the casino as our plan for coming was to eat. The Casino is easy to find with a large parking lot. read more

Check in was fast, simple, and organized. We are here with the band for the weekend. Our room is spacious and included a small fridge and microwave--excellent for a gluten free diner such as myself. The bath is also spacious and lit well. There is also a full length mirror in the entry near the large closet. We like the generous seating; there is an upholstered side chair and ottoman and 3 cushioned dining chairs. TV is small but that might be unnecessary since there is so much to do outside the room. My review is based on two things - The Casino and the Buffet. While the casino is small and table games are limited, it still seems very spacious. Also very modern. The staff is great. The buffet is outstanding as well, and you cannot beat the prices! We came here for breakfast on a Friday, and it was only $4.99 per person! And that included your non-alcoholic drink of choice! For $4.99, the food was really good and they had a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items, including custom made omelets. Also came back on Saturday and Sunday for brunch. $8.99 including drink. Again the food was great for buffet standards and they had a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items! Now, even though we are close, we don't waste our time. This place is a decent facility considering it is in danbury. The bar is nice and the buffet is supposed to be pretty good. I have never stayed at the hotel. It has a good selection of table games and the beers at the bar are normally only $1 for domestics! The limits on the table games is only $1 for the roulette so you can play for quite a while with little money. I would give this more than two stars but the dealers and other employees are rude to people from out of town and seem to resent you being in their town. I guess they don't realize how dependent they are on tourism from the twin cities. Oh, and this casino smells like cigarettes and dirty butt. read more

For the last few years we been going to this casino, it use to be very friendly. As of July 2020, it has gone down hill, this was before COVID-19. There was no air conditioning in the casino. It was miserable. We decided to give it another chance for our 50th birthday. We stayed the night of 1/9, the restaurant was horrible, never got a pitcher of water. We sat there for two hours to get all our food. It came out in pieces. Crazy! The food was dry, cold and seemed microwaved. Yet we paid full price. When we checked out, we decided to visit the gift store at 12:30pm on the 10th, the lady rudely said only one person at the time and decided to lecture me about her sign. I was the first and all by myself . The second person that walked in backed off. I told the lady we came there to have a good time and asked her why she has to be so rude. She said " there is a sign on the door, bitch". Really who calls their paying customers a bitch???? If they don't want to provide any sort of customer service they shouldn't work there, on top of that the lady wasn't wearing her mask. Double standard. I will spread my bad experience to all my family and friends. read more

There were 5 of us and we ate in the restaurant. The food was just ok. Service was slow with about 5 tables and 2 waitresses. One tried the wild rice soup and said it was just ok. Tasted like the bisqujt and gravy sauce with wild rice and a few other ingredients. One had the seafood fettuccine and said it was good but could only find crab meat. She also got a few shell pieces so knows it was real crab. One had the turkey sandwich and it was ok. He added extra mayo as it was a little dry. Two hamburgers were the last two meals and they were average. One had sweet potato fries that were tasty. No hand cut/made French fries here. We didn't leave hungry. The waitress was friendly. I won $299.00 in the casino on my way out so I guess that mAde my day! read more

The casino looks awesome now!! Much better than when it was the "Hole in the Wall Casino". The Lodge itself did not get a face lift unfortunately. Not that the hotel is bad, it just doesn't really fit with the look of the new casino. Of course the hotel doesn't make the same kind of money the casino does but I've stayed at the LCO Casino & Hotel and they both look good. The rooms were OK. Only two pillows per bed which is not the norm throughout the state. The beds were a bit hard and the squeaky. The wifi was horrible. I couldn't stay connected to it via a laptop of Iphone and I rarely have issues with either one. They do offer breakfast but you have to wait until 8:00am for the restaurant in the casino to open. Not something I can do. I need to be on the road by 7am so that was a bit disappointing. read more

It is hard to say which was worse.....the unsanitary "High Roller's Suite" or the Management (Loren B and Rick B). First, the "High Roller's Suite". We entered a room that clearly was not cleaned. There was blood in the bathtub, urine all around the toilet, a broken coffee table in the living room, and a black substance on the couch. Within minutes of checking in, we immediately went back down to the Front Desk to report this, and they assured us they would have someone up there to clean it. They asked our permission to enter the room w/Security in our absence, and we provided it. When we returned a few hours later, nothing had been done. This was unsanitary and down right filthy. When we went back downstairs, the Front Desk confirmed, she noticed all of the above mentioned items, as well as additional items even we didn't notice.....yet still, nothing has been done. Secondly, to add insult to injury to an unsanitary room, Management was equally as filthy. We brought this to 2 Manager's attention. Loren B said he could try to find someone in the hotel to clean the room, but his cleaning staff left by 5pm, so he wasn't sure who he could get - clearly not a reassuring resolution. Then there was the next shift Manager, Rick B. Rick told me since I had already left a message for Dennis (Hotel Mgr), I would need to wait to hear from Dennis, and literally walked away. I have 8 pictures showing blood in the bathtub, urine around the toilet, footprints in the bathroom, dirty shower, a black stained couch, a broken coffee table, and Mgmt walking away. If I could give the place zero stars, I would. Went out to listen to some music and have a few drinks with friends. Maybe play the slots a bit. We stayed less than 5 minutes. I was in northern Wisconsin for my birthday. I had been sent a card from the casino for a free lunch for me and a couple of guests. We entered the casino knowing we would have to get a new players club card because we could not locate our old ones. The employee at the counter was an absolute bitch. She did not smile or even greet me. I told her I needed a new card and handed her my license. She gave me a new card and didn't even say anything. I had to ask her where to go to get the meal tickets or even what to do. She grumbled what to do. I wish I would have looked at her name tag because I would have reported this immediately to someone. Went to the restaurant for lunch and had the wild rice soup- good, hearty comfort food. Had the half chicken salad which was very sweet. The bread was stale and crumbled, the lettuce and tomato old and wilted. But I will give it a pass due to the friendly service and yummy soup. My daughter had mashed potatoes and gravy which was good for comfort food. Obviously a little salty but that is expected if you don't make it yourself. They love the soup but they also used to order the walleye tenders and this time they weren't happy. I wouldn't of been either if I saw how small and how many there were. They said they used to give you big portions but now since they are runner by a bigger company they have to measure out how much they give you. Went in there last Sunday. Boyfriend went into the gift shop. Was in there along time. He came out said cards are not working gotta get cash. Well we checked our accounts and they had 3 charges for $167. And some odd cents. That equaled $502 dollars. The gift shop lady said no one is here to help fix it. But we got no product. So after 15 minutes I asked the security guard to get me someone. He did, she was nice did call Monday, no charges dropped. I called Wednesday, because they were still on there. They said we will call you back. NEVER DID!! So Friday they were finally gone. No one ever called back to see, offer me any sort of compensation. We left because I was so stressed like your holding $500 dollars or 6 days. And they didn't seem to care or call back I guess it's not their bank accounts. I didn't even cause a scene or throw a fit. I live close and we go in twice a month. But there is other casinos in the area. So very disappointing. read more

Decided to ring in the New Year with a new experience and visit the St Croix casino in Danbury. BIG MISTAKE! Arrived to ck into the hotel and they only had one front desk person checking people in, that took 25 min. Booked my room on line, non smoking. Got a smoking room, charged me 40.00 more and Julie at the desk said there was nothing she could do. So, went to play blackjack and shrugged it off trying to make the best of the night. The tables were full and when I asked to open another the pit boss said she would see if she could. So,,,went to listen to the band in the bar (which were great BTW) and tried to get a drink. They had two bartenders for 100 plus people! My one drink took 18 min as now I was losing my patience! Bar kept getting more people and the wait time was increasing. Only had one drink. Angry now went to ask for a manager to resolve my room situation, which was eventually resolved with a Non smoking room. Went back to play roulet to find the table was now closed and blackjack tables full! 10:30 PM NYE! So I packed up and left to my friends bar in Spooner and had a great night. Whom ever runs this casino should be fired! Understaffed on NYE everywhere, incompetence at the front desk, and in the bar! To whom this may concern: IT"S NYE!!!!!!!!!!!! Never spending another dime there! To bad, because the facility is nice but staff is incompetent! read more

I ate at the restaurant next to the buffet and it was horrible. The service was slow and the food was not edible. We ordered a blooming onion and it was completely raw and cold. We were very disappointed Friday. Web site said the buffet was serving prime rib and so we drove 60 miles. When we got there we learned they no longer serve prime rib on Friday nights due to cost of beef and have not been for better than a month. Not worth the drive. Not legal advertising. Best change the website to be truthfull. There was no refund offered or compensation offered for untruthful advertising. Staff said they are getting lots of complaints. We have gone in the past and were served excellent prime rib. We are done and not going again. read more

I visited this casino with one of their regular costumers. We were having a nice time at the blackjack table with other guests and the staff. A new dealer came to our table. I believe his name is Dan, he has a beard and wears a small Vikings pin. Him and I had a football debate as I am a packers fan. Shouldn't have been a big deal but he continued to give me crap and was being rude about it. I left the table. After a few rounds I went back to that table as my friends were sitting there. I put money down again. This dealer then proceeded to tell me "I must have lots of boyfriends for all my personalities." At this point I talked to the pit boss who did not seem to care his dealer was driving money away or how he was doing it. I then asked to speak with the manager. The manager basically just accused me of being drunk and asked me to "walk away". Unbelievable. This all happened about 7pm Wednesday evening. I can only hope someone higher up finds out and they are reprimanded. read more
