Quaint regional theatre offering plays during the summer season…read more Found this place online and it looked like a fun activity for our group. It was easy to find, as it was right on the main highway - just look for the classic comedy and tragedy faces on the side of the big red barn. I ordered the tickets online - very easy - and only $17 a seat (you pick them up when you get there from a little building at the base of the barn). Parking is free and on the grass just outside the barn - I'd estimate it holds about 100 people. I got our tickets just a couple of weeks out and had three seats on the aisle in the second row. The stage is pretty small, and the production we saw (Population 485) had minimal scenery and props - in fact it was mostly just the 6 actors (who all had real jobs - librarian, factory worker, graphic artist, retiree) and a few costume changes. The actors played multiple parts but it was easy enough to keep things straight and they put their all into doing something that they love, even if it isn't their main job. Downstairs in the barn are the bathrooms and a place to buy snacks - water and popcorn was around $3, very economical. If you go, keep your expectations in check - this is a local regional theatre, NOT the Gutherie so expect dedicated hardworking "actors" that aren't quite as polished as those on Broadway. Definitely something worth seeing.

The outside is beautifully landscaped and the inside is comfortable with theater seating and lots of ambience. They enhance your experience with the smell of fresh popcorn and other snacks and beverages. They also displayed artwork on the wall by local artists.
