We were a little…read moreapprehensive thinking maybe he might have a difficult time starting in high school when many of his schoolmates had likely been together since elementary and junior high school. Our concerns were unwarranted and I cannot say enough positive things about our experiences over the past several months. The staff at Faith are fabulous.The staff all go out of their way to create a positive learning environment that strives to teach our children to become responsible citizens. They push him academically but do so in a spiritual, caring and attentive manner. The class sizes are small and foster a positive learning environment. There truly is a "Faith Family" feeling to all of our interactions with the school, both in and out of the classroom. We couldn't feel more welcome or blessed. Our son has made many friends and most importantly he comes home happy each and every day. We raved so much about our experiences that our dear friends are moving their daughter from a different Christian private high school to Faith in 2020-21. If you are looking for a Christian school you should consider Faith; I have no reservations in fully recommending them.

Lol Sarah is truly educated on the education and development of young children with several degrees and continued education for her self and sweet staff to give the best care for little ones. My daughter adores them both personally and will climb right in their lap or give hugs. They give an extended family feel combined with all the pluses of the larger scale facilities out there with organization, activities, outings. They even do Christmas Carols and cookie deliveries during the holidays! They run the care between two homes that are side by side and always clean and comfortable for the kids. They give the kids a home like feel, yet the spaces are 100% gear towards the children.

Jesuit High School is a well rounded, inclusive school with excellent academics, arts and athletics. While the faith component is strong, one does not have to be Catholic to attend. Nor does one have to come from a wealthy family; 25% receive financial aid. They provide a stellar education while teaching students the importance of being a contributing member of society, taking care of themselves while also looking out for and caring about others. Community service is a graduation requirement. Students not only learn about problems Facing today's society,, they are encourage to develop and apply solutions. This should be part of every school's curriculum, imho.

Kinder through 6th grade has a cohesive curriculum for ELA, history, and math, and high school offers dual college/high school credit for science, math, and foreign language. I'm thankful that my kids have had a Christ-centered education and have made friends that are as close as family.

We have been to Christian schools in the past and the Bible was taught, but unfortunately the administration focused on keeping the families that had deep pockets happy even if it meant that teaching about Jesus was watered down to make them feel more comfortable. Valor is all about teaching the entire Bible and the love Jesus has for us all. The entire faculty have a huge heart for Jesus and all of their students. When we came to Valor, it was like being welcomed home after a long painful Odyssey. Jesus is definitely at work in this school!

I came across their location and website with a Google Map search looking for Preschools. The preschool itself makes use of a few rooms of Hillsboro Presbyterian Church. Though its not directly affiliated with the church, the school does share Christian values, by having themes during each month (ex: Respecting others, Self-control, Honesty, Patience, and Kindness). As the title of the school implies, it implements a program based on the work of Maria Montessori. The school also make use of methods based on the book Love & Logic when dealing with issues or areas of conflicts with kids. The kids typically get a lesson on an item of their choosing or something they're encouraged to work on. From there the child works on demonstrating proficiency and is on to their next piece of work. The emphasis is definitely on the child's "work". The kids start a project and can return to it each and everyday until they get it done. They learn how to respect one another, each others' space/work areas, ask for assistance when needed, and how to politely move around. Its not only about work and learning, there's time for play, outdoors in a safe play area, or a large indoor playroom for running around and burning off extra energy. They plant flowers in a garden, have a field day near the end of the year, and hold 2 concerts, 1 before Christmas break and 1 before the end of the school year. They have 1 field trip a year, when they visit a local pumpkin farm or an apple orchard during the fall. We couldn't ask for a more well-rounded preschool and more loving teachers. Heather and Kaycee really are angels to our kids. Guiding them, celebrating their achievements, and making them feel warm and welcome at all times. I will forever be thankful for having come across this school, making the choice to apply/register, and having the opportunity to get our children enrolled.
