I fell in love with the church immediately because it reminded me of my childhood. It's a traditional church with traditional hymns. The people were somewhat reserved but I expect that initially. The church, though big, made me feel at home right away. They had a beautiful choir singing away. They had children everywhere. Towards the end of mass, the priest announced that even though mass attendance was dwindling in most churches across the country, Our Lady of Peace was actually increasing it's number of attendees! How awesome is that?! I definitely think we are in the right place and that we will love it here. You can't find old traditions in many places.

The 10:30 service also includes a nice nursery for families with small children. The pastor is a great preacher, with relevant, gospel-filled sermons. The music is excellent and an important part of the service. There are so many things going on that there is always something to do: Sunday school, coffee hour between the services, adult bible studies, VBS, lots of musical opportunities for all ages, mission activities, and fun fellowship events. Also, when we went to the church service, they had a missionary man, who had an alter-ego and basically talked about himself and needing money the whole sermon. He also make very rude comments on stage and was not a prepared, or holy man based on what we witnessed. We left early because it was that upsetting. All guest speakers/Preachers should be vetted very carefully by the Pastor himself before allowing anyone to give a talk in front of a congregation. Now, of course, I do not expect them to reply even to this low review, since that is the way its been in the past. One the most important aspects of gaining new members is an excellent follow up program, that is credible and reliable.
