This is the church in which I grew up. This church offers Catholic services like mass and…read moreconfession and also has a school associated with it. All are welcome to mass. If you have never been to a Catholic mass make sure you sit around people (so you can follow them as the rise, kneel, etc) if you choose to participate. Please keep in mind that communion is intended for those who have gone through a process to receive it (in second grade for those of us who grew up in the church). No one is likely to even notice if you do not go up for communion. Services are held in a beautiful main church and also the school gym. The services in the gym are a bit more relaxed. If you are Christian but have never been to a Catholic Church keep in mind we bring children of all ages to church. Sometimes kids make noise- it's common. Both the church and school are beautifully maintained. I have a friend with a child in the elementary program and she has excellent things to say about the school. The church is also very supportive of the school. This is a great place go to mass or church events.

I remember the church seeming very large and beautiful...however, it looks quite small now. The school is now a public charter school, and the Catholic students attend at Corpus Christi. It's my understanding that masses are only held here on certain days, rather than the 7-days-per-week schedule of my childhood. It's still a pretty church with a neat wood ceiling and modern stained glass windows. It would be nice location for a wedding, and there's a reception hall which shares the same parking lot.

Mathnasium Center in Beavercreek has exceeded my expectations for my daughter. Last year, my…read moredaughter was in the 4th grade and had problems catching up with the kids at her table. Children would tease her about being slow, and the teacher stated it was to help motivate her to work faster. But, despite her IEP for extra time, she just began putting her head down in math class and shut down completely. My husband and I decided to enroll her in the summer program at Mathnasium to help build her confidence in math. Our goal was to review the previous year's concepts and provide her with another summer activity. My daughter ended up loving the individualized instruction and completing activities at her pace. In addition, she enjoyed the positive affirmation that she was on the right track while completing the assignments. We stopped for a month in September, and during that time, she repeatedly asked to go back. So a few weeks ago (October), we started tutoring again. As an educator myself, I have so much respect for Jackie and the tutors. The monthly learning plan provides data on how much she is progressing. In addition, the exit ticket gives me something to discuss with her on the way home. While I believe tests only show one part of mastery, with that said, her MAP scores increased 15 points from Spring 2021 to Fall 2021. I highly recommend this place! Thank you for helping support her academically in a friendly, calm, and comfortable environment using your individualized curriculum.

I have three kids enrolled here and it is worth every penny…read more There is no homework (unlike Kumon) and I can bring them any day the center is open, as many days a week as I want (like a gym membership), all for the same monthly fee. No appointments are needed, which means the scheduling is flexible. I like that Mathnasium has its own material. The kids took a placement test to find out their weak spots and then their assignments in the center are exactly at their level and target the areas where they are weak. I also like that the kids get small group instruction. It's usually 2 or 3 kids per instructor. And they have structured rewards so the kids earn prizes. I won't say they LOVE going, but they don't fight me like they did with Kumon--no tears for Mathnasium. We previously tried Kumon (in another state). I didn't like the homework, their restricted hours (only open two days a week), or the student teacher ratios (was like 1 to 8 or more at the center we used). However, Kumon was cheaper so if cost is an issue that would be something to consider. (Kumon was about $120/mo per kid versus about $220/month per kid at Mathnasium). We also previously tried an independent tutoring place. That had the most scheduling flexibility and one on one attention. But it cost $50/hour so twice a week appointments cost about $400 a month. This location just opened in Oct 2015. We were going to the location in Centerville but switched to this location as soon as they opened because the location is so much more convenient (right off 675; close to the Greene). I have a kid above grade level for math and I have one that struggles a bit. Mathnasium works for both of them. Overall, we are really happy with Mathnasium and I recommend it to friends.

My parents Jim Gilliam and Pam Gilliam (Stethem) graduated in 1966. My brother graduate in 1990. An I myself Kelly Sanarov ?(Gilliam) graduated in 1994. My nephews Kyle Gilliam and Cory Clark and niece Sara Anderson all graduated from Greeneview Schools. My children also no go here. I enjoy the fact that we are still having Christmas programs. I just wish it was an entire school event. Im glad to see some conservation studies going on as well. I k ow their is a lot of paper being used, but as you know not everything needs to be computerized. Penmenship. My children thankfully have my writing. Being able write well and legible is important just as much as pushing these virtual buttons. Things change and progress I realize but if we don't influence our children to get more socially involved with sports or even other activities such as creative writing etc. It will be gone. Teach them thst it's ok to do hard work. It's ok to earn what you recieve. Farming, Industry, a hard day's work. There is nothin wrong wit it. Nor is their a thing wrong with computer science or being a nurse or a hair stylist. But all things have to be earned. There seems to be an idea of self entitlement. Who deserves. Those of us and our parents who have worked our entire lives and continue to and those that are taking care of an aging father because they want to. Not because they have to. A US Army Vet, A farmer, A retiree from GM. Left with nothing because of losing my mom's income. Almost 20 years of struggle. Who has helped, my brother, myself, and my husband. Who has been used and mistreated my family. I do read the school system. I forgive. For me. Not for any one else. I pray our school system continues to be a safe place for our children snd facilty. And I truly hope one day everyone will truly be excepted and not mistreated or separated for bring different. Or because there is an agenda to get even. Not with my children. Not on my watch and not in my town.

The downside is the cost but it works well overall. My kids love going here which is also great. I would recommend their services to anyone who has kids needing some additional help.
