How can I say this without being too cynical? Let's just say the execution of these ideals by church leadership often falls far short of the example of Christ to the point where their efforts appear mostly self serving justifications for an easy lifestyle. This is not the case at Lynnwood Evangelical Free Church. It really is a place where people find acceptance and forgiveness. Furthermore, it is a place for regular people to truly engage in ministry in ways that are significant. If you want polish and glitz, you won't find that there. If you want a rock star worship leader and a state of the art main-stage with a couple 20 foot wide hi-def video screen so you can see the pastor better when he speaks and special lighting, this really isn't the place where your needs are going to be filled. You will get the message of Christ and a community that supports these ideals, which is a much better thing in the end.

Pastor Toby gave a good sermon, which is what I'm looking for in a church, to be fed spiritual food. However, my wife would would have difficulty navigating the entry stairs. My rating is arbitrary since I only visited once, giving them the benefit of a doubt.

I've never been to a church before where the lead pastor hangs out in the parking lot to great you! The music is awesome and the message always speaks to my struggles of the previous week, I swear Jeff must be watching my week before creating the message! I have watched them help families, children, homeless people who they don't even know personally and touch many lives. They say to practice what you preach and I truly believe this church does just that.
