She loved all of her room 4 teachers and always talking about school on the way home. After being potty trained a couple of months ago, she is now in Room 1 with Ms. Amela. She loves going to school every day and learning new skills and play with her friends. Despite several issues along the way, I also very appreciate Ms. Sarah, the director of the school. She is very informative and knowledgeable. She always follows up with issues that we raised, follow through and come up with solutions that work for us.

My child has been to a few different daycare programs, including one that's literally 2x the price (Bright Horizons). However, HHP is the only place where my partner and I felt all the teachers (that we've met thus far) have a genuine passion for the kids. At a previous daycare, my child only talked about one teacher who seemed to really care, who unsurprisingly was the only teacher we felt actually enjoyed her job as a preschool teacher. However, at HHP, my child raves about all the teachers. There is a glaring weakness at HHP though, and that's the administration team. Unfortunately, other Yelp feedback about the slow and sometimes lack of responses (via phone or email) are true in my experience. Phone calls or emails go unanswered for days or weeks at a time, if at all. Fortunately, interaction with the admin office are mostly unnecessary after the child is actually enrolled. I'm hoping this area will be improved! If there are any "emergencies" or issues with my child at school, the teachers are very good about either calling or emailing us. And teachers are timely in their responses to our proactive emails to them as well. All in all, HHP has been a very positive place for my child.

The attitude often came across as stuck-up and dismissive, almost as if they were doing me a favor by allowing my child to attend rather than providing a service that I was paying for. I dealt with **two different managements during my time there: the previous management and the new management.** Under the previous management, the Egyptian lady I dealt with was noticeably more communicative, respectful, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the new management has been very different and far less welcoming. Communication in general is seriously lacking. Emails routinely receive zero response, and getting clear information or even basic acknowledgment is unnecessarily difficult. When you're dealing with parents and young children, communication should be one of the most basic expectations. What bothered me most was the lack of tact when handling concerns. You would expect people working in an educational environment to understand how to communicate with both children and parents, especially when a situation needs to be de-escalated. Instead, some interactions felt unnecessarily confrontational and unwelcoming. Considering the number of negative Google reviews this business already has, you would think management would make customer service, communication, and hiring approachable people a priority. Instead, the attitude toward paying families can make you wonder whether they realize parents are customers, not people asking them for charity. I could mention a bunch of specific examples, but at this point, I don't think it would do any good. My child liked her teachers, and that is what earned the 3 stars. The management and complete lack of communication are what prevented me from rating the experience higher.

I was 3 months pregnant when my husband and I found his growing grove. We put down a deposit for about $250 to "apply" for the daycare program with the goal of sending our child here at 4 months old. We were basically applying one year in advance. They told us they would give us updates on when there was an opening. We didn't get the update that there was an opening until March 2024. It's hard to believe that there was no opening (i.e., not one single infant in the program learned to walk and got moved to the toddler program during our six month waiting period). Our main problem is with the deposit. The deposit does not save you a place in line and it is not refundable. It merely gets you on a list of people to be contacted when there is an opening and then it's a free-for-all to see who submits the final paperwork first. The most reasonable approach would be to not pay anything until there is an opening and then submit the fee with all of the paperwork at that time. Unless time is not a factor to you and you have daycare somewhere else, you should not rely on there being an opening here. It's basically a lottery and you are potentially throwing away your money. We found another daycare that allowed us to send our child on the exact day we requested from the beginning. This daycare had less kids and was able to give more attention to my child.

My husband and I have a 22-month old daughter and it was our intention to send her to pre-school when she turns two years old. Knowing how difficult it is to secure a spot in a good pre-school, we started searching for one when she was only 4 months old (around November 2015). We found HGG, among others, on Yelp. Like many parents, we attended orientation sessions and opening houses. At the end, we narrowed down to 2 centers and since HGG was able to promise us a spot in writing to the Little Lamb class when she turns 2 in September 2017, we also committed ourselves by putting down a $250 deposit in January 2016. Lone and behold, around September of 2016, we found out that we were expecting our second child in May 2017. After much consideration, we also decided to enrol our unborn child to HGG to the toddler program for December 2017 and put in another $250 deposit in December 2016 to secure a spot. Between January 2017 and April 2017, I have been in close contact with the enrolment officer at HGG and in each conversation, I have always been reassured that they have a spot for both my kids at the date they have previously promised. Without any prior notice, I received a deposit refund of $250 in the mail in early May 2017. I called HGG right away to find out if there has been a mistake. It turns out that the enrolment for my baby to their infant class for December 2017 has been turned down and the only explanation given was because of a mix up in their administration (over-booking of babies to their toddler class). With only one week away from the due date of my unborn baby, they had put us under tremendous stress as both my husband and I have already committed to our respective employers our back-to-work plan under the assumption that we are able to send our baby to HGG by December 2017. In addition, when I tried to confirm the enrolment of my 22-month old daughter for September 2017 on the same call, we also found out that they have to postpone her for another year (i.e. until September 2018). By that time, I was furious. If I have not asked, no one at the center would have told us and we would be in deep trouble by the time September 2017 comes around. I apologize for the long read but I do feel strongly about my experiences. I have lost total faith in the school. We cannot help but to speculate whether there were any unfair preferences (i.e. over ethnicity, religion preferences, parents' occupation, etc) for the applicants on the waiting list. It does not matter how well-equipped the facility is, how great the programs are and how attentive the teachers may be, if the administration is run so poorly, as a mother who plans to be an involved parent for my children, I have serious doubts on how well the center is actually being run, which will directly affect the learning environment for my children. There is definitely disappointment for not being able to enrol my children to the school but my above comment arises solely from my frustration of the poor communication from the school administration. I encourage other parents who have also received their unexpected refund deposit in their mail to come forward to also share their experiences on Yelp since I am certain I am not the first and won't be the last.

She grew so much while she was there. The teachers are warm and caring, and you can tell they really love what they do. It was always so nice to be see their arts and crafts hung up right by the front door so that you could see what they had worked on recently. I also thought it was awesome that they spoke Spanish to her. I've struggled to keep that going at home, so it meant a lot to know she was learning and practicing at school without me even being there. The school also did a bunch of family events that we loved. Daddy and Me was always a favorite because we got to come in, watch the kids perform, and do crafts together. They also put on fun things for the holidays, like Halloween and Christmas, where the kids got to celebrate and we could be part of it too. It was great watching her play with her friends and have her show me all her favorite places to play in the outdoor play area. The hours were always great so if you're a working parent you have that peace of mind that you know your kids are taken care of so you can focus on work. We're really thankful for the time our daughter had at ABC Preschool. She made great memories, learned so much, and we always felt like she was in the right place.
