i love this place. i came in randomly for a walk in desperate for a crown and they took me in right away despite not having an appointment or ever being there unlike other offices that take months for a simple consultation. the lady at the front desk was kind and welcoming as well as all the staff. i've also never been more relaxed to get numbed for the procedures and have dental work in general. the dentist makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire experience. they even play movies for you while you sit and wait ! read more

I have been coming to this dental Office for more than 8 years and I have to say that this dental office is the best!!! Claudia and Fabiola are so amazing! Dr. Zinati is so patient and kind. I'm a fearful patient and they make me feel at ease every time I come in. My daughter has been coming here since the age of 3 and she has never been scared. To the response I recieved: I am not confused. It was definitely St James Dental Group at 7607 Atlantic Ave, Cudahy, CA 90201 that I went to. As far as the braces conversation, the Dentist did brush me off (maybe she was annoyed I was asking about braces when you don't do them there? I wasn't exactly told) from there the assistant had told me "I'm sorry, we can get you a referral for Ortho if you're still interested". But i said no. I understand if you don't exactly do braces - though you do offer invisalign, per your website-but as someone who has never had either, I didn't know the options available to me (or not available, considering the dentist and i barely had the conversation). So I keep my review as is. I dont appreciate the attempt in dismissing my review as "confusion". Speaks volumes that you couldnt even find me in your system. With that said, this was my experience, and if the business can learn from it, great. I just won't be returning. Please note: to show I did, in fact, go to your office. Worst experience of my life. This is solely based on the staff and not the dentist because I couldn't even get past the receptionist and her horrible attitude; horrible being used lightly and as the biggest understatement ever. I called to schedule an appointment they seemed friendly enough, gave them my insurance information and specifically asked if they took it they said yes, got scheduled in two weeks. Day of the appointment comes i show up about 10 minutes early only to be told that they didn't accept my insurance (mind you I was in a lot of pain and had waited two weeks for this appointment) I asked if I could call my insurance to make sure my coverage was still active, after a couple seconds the same girl at the counter called me back and told me they could see me? Okay I thought you had just said I had no insurance after that she asked me for a 15 dollar copay when my card clearly states 5 but again I didn't mind I was in a lot of pain. Placed a 20 dollar bill on the counter and went back to filling out the paperwork handed to me, I was then rudely snapped at to uncrumple the bill (the bill wasn't crumpled) I asked if she wanted a different bill and she proceeded to refuse service to me for being rude and kicked me out the door when my belongings were still inside. I asked to speak to a manager and she rudely yelled that there wasn't any when I had just seen the manager pass by, asked for her name and she didn't answer me, looked to the several other workers at the front desk for some help and they all pretended as if I wasn't standing there. She went as far as locking the door once I had exited. Then for good measure went outside the building and started yelling at my mother and I when she saw I hadn't left the parking lot yet. My mother had come along to get a prescription filled from the pharmacy next door. I should have called the cops. I did call my insurance and placed a complaint on the clinic, I understand that taking patients with insurance isn't as profitable as the cash patients but why would your clinic even be in the insurance network. This woman was the nastiest, horrid human being I've ever encountered she kept chasing me around and yelling practically spitting in my face. Also not sure who gave her the authority to refuse service to patients without speaking to a manager or dentist. read more

Two hardest things to find in life are a good barber and a good dentist. Dr. Z was so amazing to the point where I now like visiting the dentist, did two very painless root canals, didn't even feel the shots before the work was done. Came here for the first time today, this was the best experience with a dentist I've had! My previous dentist screwed me over way more times than I can count and I had to pay for something each time. Today I received great service, not only from the dr but also from the staff and front desk. It was a breath of fresh air! The best part was I didn't pay out of pocket, my insurance covered it all, how I would pay so much with my last dentist for the same type of service is unfathomable. WORST DENTAL OFFICE I EVER WENT TO! It's ridiculous the amount of time they have you wait. They told me they'd call me to check the status of insurance and they NEVER did. I personally had to walk in and ask about it MULTIPLE TIMES. They ARE NOT on it. When I walked in the secretary with black hair treated me poorly and gave me a NASTY attitude. I called my insurance company and they NEVER even started the process. They LIE about things so they won't have to deal with problems they created. They DON'T CARE about the client!! Fulana is a great dentist, I usually have a hard time getting numb because anesthetic does not work well on me, and I end up having pain during dental procedures. Fulana was able to get me numb and I was very comfortable during the appointment. Also, she explained my treatment plan in detail and gave me different options. Every time you try to make an appointment with them, they barely have anything available. Last time I went there with my son to have a cavity taken care of, they didn't treat it and they only did some sealings and a cleaning that I didn't ask for. When they were done and I asked about the filling for his cavity, they said they wouldn't do it that day, which, if that was going to be the case I wouldn't have gone that day at all or have myself checked after him either. I would've expected from them to at least tell me that they weren't going to do his filling either on the phone when I made the appointment or at the moment that I got there and not having my time wasted like they did. I called them today to schedule a new appointment for his cavity since I couldn't make it yesterday, and they said that they didn't have anything available, that they were full at least until October!... I even asked in a good manner if they could squeeze him in on a sooner date since it was just one filling for a cavity that was already deep and couldn't take any longer, and in an emphatic way they just said "no,no!", like if they were even bothered to been asked for something like that. In that moment I just mentioned how disappointed and upset I was at them when they made me go through that last time and not do anything about my son's cavity despite of letting me know it was a deep one and not at least tell me before hand that nothing was going to be done, other than a regular cleaning and some sealings. The woman tried to change even my words saying that I didn't want the filling that day, which I denied and kept on trying to fight me instead of speaking in a reasonable way, like me, where I wasn't even yelling or insulting but in a calmed manner to let her know to try to be in my place for a second and think of what it feels. At the end I just told them I'll look at some other place and before hanging she said "yeah, go look for another doctor!...". I honestly can say that after that, I got really mad and got me to think that the only reason they are so full with clients, (which is odd because you never see their office full of people), is because they are so desperate for money that they rather see a client that's going to pay them upfront rather than a client with Medical, which is my case. So, for anyone reading the good reviews here don't believe them immediately. This place wasn't the best when I first started taking my son, but it wasn't the worst either, however, now I can say is just a pitiful awful place with no clue of human relations that's just hungry about money and cares less about looking through the same lens equally at all its patients regardless of their insurance plan. I have been going to St James Dental for some time now and have always been very pleased with the service. Dr. Zinati and her staff are great! I will never forget a time when I had a very bad tooth ache during the weekend and was experiencing excruciating pain. I called the office to leave a message thinking I would get a call back on the next business day. Dr Zinati called me back within minutes to find out what was wrong and called in a prescription at my local pharmacy to ease my pain until I could be seen at her office. I was able to get in to see her right away. She is one doctor who truly cares about her patients well being. I highly recommend St James for all your dental needs. read more
