I rarely post anything but I feel people need to be informed. If you have a child with a special…read moreneed or disability please do not sent them to Great Expectations Childcare and Learning certain. They do not understand that a child with special needs has rights. They are unwilling to communicate with the therapists in their facilities which they are required to do by law.. They have been reported for their discriminating practices. When a child has an IEP team, Behaviorial Specialist and a TSS available to help you and you choose not to communicate with them something is just not right and suspicious. The child has a TSS right there with him to help you, but no one is communicating with as well as an IEP team and a Behavioral specialist who no one was contacting. As an example the director Madelyn leaves a voice mail that calls a 3 year old with special needs "violent" and lied about an incident that was happening in the facility as well as saying we don't tolerate this behavior. So much for positive interaction. But then after speaking with the child's TSS who was with him at the time come to find out the incident was extremely exaggerated just so they could just get rid of him. If a child is not able to communicate like other kids you need to take time to find out what caused a behavior not just send him home. Which by the way is not to happen when a child has an IEP. Another lie prior to leaving we asked about the summer availability and were told by Administrators that they were going to be short staffed and had no availability but then on facebook Great Expectations is advertising that they do have availability, again discriminating against a child with a disability. I just want people who don't have the "ideal" child to be aware of how a special needs child is viewed by Great Expectations.

This school ruined my life. First off, I was bullied so badly that kids were literally throwing…read moregarbage at me and even telling me no one cared about me or what I even had to say. I would complain about this issue and the principal actively chose not to help me and thought it was better to blame everything on me. I was also sexually assaulted for months by a classmate and I was blamed for that too and I have the papers still that even say that I was the cause of the bullying and sexual assault. I was terrified of certain classmates because of the assaults and I was told it was my fault. They did nothing to help me move on from this traumatic experience and they definitely never told me my rights as a victim. Now the school district acts like they care about their students and about bullying and teen suicide. They don't. They are just doing it because they want to look good in society's eyes. They didn't care that I became extremely depressed because of the bullying I was receiving or that I was considering to end it all. I even had an extremely noticeable cry for help one day in class and literally no one noticed that I was ready to hurt myself but I couldn't do it. I am very ashamed to be a graduate from this horrible school district. I made it out barely alive and basically had a complete mental meltdown two weeks after I graduated and still need intense therapy just to be able to move on. I can never get those four years of my life back and I can't even get justice for myself at this point.
