The care providers are not very compassionate towards the kids. They would provide only basic care and then leave them on swings either to cry out or to play by themselves. At any given time you will notice a baby either in the crib or swing crying their gut out. Kids looked unhappy and lethargic. They were not engaged in any fun activity. Neither were the kids encouraged to play on the floor with toys. My baby had a diaper rash all the time. Also, I noticed that they were not very mindful of picking up kids by their whole body and not just the shoulder. They are not very good at washing toys that kids put in their mouth. The floors are not very clean either. Director is not very warm, friendly and open to parents' concerns.

Although nervous about the transition of our then 1 year old son to a new daycare, I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with our experience at Goddard. The staff is friendly, caring and professional. The owner is very helpful and takes the time to get to know the kids. We noticed a few weeks in that are son was doing much better here then at the previous daycare. The owner and staff seems to genuinely care and be concerned about the well-being of the kids. Only after placing him at Goddard did I realize they have an educational criteria which is a bonus in my opinion. My only "warning" is that they have more days that they are closed then KinderCare. They are closed for a week during Christmas and have few other days that are closed which aren't always days off at most companies. It's run more like a school. Luckily my husband has flexibility with his schedule so we manage. But the quality of care and facilities is worth this occasional inconvenience. Also you have to pack/provide lunch for your child where as at KinderCare they provided the meals. Goddard provides the am and pm snack. Now that I'm used to packing our son's lunch this difference is a non-issue.

The staff is terrific, even going to great lengths to express concern when needed, and to engage the parents along the way. They craft, you prepare your kids lunch, they take kids on short safe strolls in the neighborhood. No problem to start care there mid-fall and you dont have to pay for sept & half of october. They save your spot if they can. You can quit month by month (no two month full tuition penalty as with the JCC).

Thrived here, developed great social skills and a love of learning. They truly felt like family! As a parent that is the goal of these early years. We had just moved into the city when we sent our younger son to Milestones. At the time we sent our older son to a local private school for Pre-K (thinking we needed to "get him in early"). In hindsight, he didn't need academic structure and rigor at age 4, he needed to feel secure, cared for and loved....knowing what I know now, I would have had him sent him to Milestones for one year of PreK while his little brother was in the 18 mo old group. For us Milestones gave us piece of mind everyday we dropped our son off...it truly felt like an extension of home!
