I will never go back to this clinic again. Maybe they're fine if you have the perfect pet, but I brought in a scared rescue dog and Dr. Davis refused to examine her, or give her needed vaccinations, heartworm test, and nail trim. He also refused to spay and microchip her and instead referred me to a behavioral clinic and said to bring her back when she's no longer terrified. So what? A frightened rescue dog has to risk her well-being by not receiving preventative medical care because he doesn't have the compassion or time to treat her? He also talked to me in an accusatory tone, as if I was the cause of her fear. I have 30 years of fostering experience; I'm not new at this. I have taken many frightened dogs to the vet and I will go elsewhere where this dog and I will be treated with dignity and respect. Thanks for nothing. read more

We recently had to put our 13 year old dog down and while the staff were kind and supportive, Dr. Davis was not. This was a very emotional and difficult time and he made us feel like horrible pet owners. We hadn't had her in for about 3 years because we hadn't had a reason to. She was healthy and well-cared for. We took her for shots elsewhere. She was not neglected, however his entire demeanor made us feel like we did. He offered no support other than to try to pain meds. We had come to terms with euthanasia because we did not want to prolong the inevitable. When they brought her back to administer the final medication, he not once offered how this process would work, he just simply sat down and put her to sleep in a matter of seconds. He didn't tell us she was gone until I had to confirm. Our dog's last seconds were chaotic and over with no compassion. Then we were told to just exit out the door when we were done and he left. He ruined this entire, horrible moment for us. We will never bring a pet back to this clinic and strongly do not recommend. read more

I would never patronize this business! Hubby walked in to get our chihuahua stitched up as it was an emergency and was turned away! I was at work and told him to take her to our vet who was more than happy to do it! Since then our vet retired. When asked if they were taking new clients, I was told yes then the receptionist came back and informed me that they were not taking new clients. I shared my experience with her (prior to) and that is when she said hold on and came back to tell me no. The Dewitt vet is extremely nice and is my new vet. They really care about the animals not their bottom line and have wonderful, knowledgeable staff. The St. John's vet deserves NO STARS but Yelp requires at least one star. read more

My two dogs are new patients here, and we're all so happy to join this practice. Emberle is a two year old Schnoodle and Louis is a 12 year old Coton. They have each had their intake visits with renewal of vaccines separately; we were greeted both times with a friendly, caring, and informative manner. The newly expanded office is great, and every member of the staff has been so welcoming. A special shout out to Dr. Bennett who was our vet each time. read more

St Johns Animal Clinic has taken great care of my dog Luke's health for at least 5 years now and I have no complaints - only accolades.

Started out great had 2 wonderful doctors help me with 2 liters of rescue kittens that were found abandoned and very ill and the vet tech was awesome i think her name was either Kasey or Jennie then I call to have 1 mom and her son go in for possible upper respiratory to have a nasty rude receptionist tell me my catory is diseased. What !!! I said it was just built and it's been the same babies in it the whole time .... she was rude nasty and now she has lied to the vets because I called to get the original kitten in cause meds didn't help she said we can't see u for 2 weeks cause I was covid positive but was willing to curb drop off this baby needs to be seen asap ... that receptionist is a liar and should not work with the public at all. And to make matters worse instead of the manager Julie calling to find out what happen she just assumed her receptionist was telling the truth she was not. I will be sure no make sure i don't recommend anyone to ever use them and it's very unfortunate cause I really liked Dr Graham and Dr Bennett I seen there... "Kristen" was a rude very unpleasant receptionist she gets no stars only reason I gave any was for the other people I worked with there . Don't take pet to this clinic read more

I keep telling myself I'm done coming to this Animal Clinic. I have had so many issues. The latest was I took my dog in because he was having trouble with his right eye (just lots of goop). They took my dog in the back and dyed/numbed the left eye (aka wrong eye). THE WRONG EYE. Not to mention the prices are outrageous. read more
