We were looking for a Christian Montessori program and this is, in our opinion _the best_ option in northern Virginia. They not only provide a wonderful Montessori style education, they provide solid Biblical teaching for these young minds. We have been consistently impressed by their care, compassion, professionalism and exceptional teaching. Some examples of the positives, though the list could go on and on: - the fabulous caring and attentive teachers. They care about your children like their own and they pray for your children and your family. Ms. Jacqueline, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Yoon, Ms. Brielle, Ms. Sophia to name a few. - excellent leadership and administration, Ms. Grace is extremely organized, communicative and detail-oriented. This school tries hard to stay open even when Fairfax/Loudoun counties are closed for their countless holidays which is great for working parents. They provide optional extracurricular activities during the school day for pre-K such as soccer, French class and piano lessons. - the teaching! We were so impressed when our daughter started talking about what red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets do in the human body. wow! - Biblical teaching; the kids memorize Bible verses, are taught Bible stories and worship songs. Our 3 year old memorized the Lord's Prayer! - we have made such wonderful friends with the other students and families attending Monarch - all the extra touches - they put on a wonderful Christmas show every year, make special crafts for the holidays that I know we will treasure forever and host things like Mother's Day breakfast. Our daughter has to graduate otherwise I wish we could keep her here forever! This school is such a blessing to us and to the community! We thank God for Ms. Grace and Monarch.

I can't believe it's been 9 years already with our 3 kids. In 2012, when my daughters were 2 & 3 years old, we've interviewed several pre-schools in the area and this school is the best! Their Christian Montessori education is excellent and provided our kids a firm foundation of learning, growth and character. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, Monarch maintained the highest level of precaution, safety measures, and made us feel safe during that time with our youngest. I will miss the songs, Christmas programs, Thanksgiving luncheons, the arts/crafts from my kids, parent-teacher conferences, and our kids' stories of what they experienced during school. I was always surprised by what they were able to accomplish at such a young age. My fondest memories will be our kids' birthday parties at the school with the puppet shows, oversized balloons, cupcakes, storytelling, and the walk around the globe song. Monarch is an extension of our family and we will miss them very much! My youngest kid just graduated from Kindergarten last June 5th at Monarch. My daughters who are now 11 & 12 years old are doing very well in school - thanks to the Monarch's education and influence.

They really care for the children with their heart and we get wonderful arts each week. We also made friends that we still keep in touch with after preschool from this place. The classes are in a small size so that each child get the attention they deserve. I also love their play based learning because at this age, I think it's more important for them to have fun while learning and my child knows his A B C's and learn to write his name from this school. If you want your child to love school and ask to go on weekends (lol), this is the place!!

I brought this to the attention of the teacher and she got back to me days later. I emailed the principal expressing my concerns and he never had the decency to care enough and write back to me. This is totally unacceptable, their communication was terrible and they acted like they did not care. I may not be a big donor but I am still paying $900 a month for this school. Unbelievable.

This is after repeatedly badgering us to withdraw our child from primary care after 1 week because he did not clean up his 'materials' from his 'work' and had trouble sitting still in circle time. Maybe this is some people's idea of a good education but sounds foreign to the Montessori method. We found such a more welcoming and amazing Montessori school just a few minutes down the road where our child prospered and is now excelling in elementary.

My two children attended RMS for the 2024-2025 school year and will attend this upcoming school…read moreyear. They are now 2.5 and 7, and were 1.5 and 6 when they started. They both love the school and their teachers. My older child has several health issues and the public school was not able to keep him safe and learning there for kindergarten, and we are so grateful to the RMS staff for their wonderful care and support for him during his 1st grade year. Before we found them, I wasn't sure if I'd have to figure out how to homeschool him (while working) but he's very social and I really hoped to find a school environment for him that would work. I am grateful we did. They have been very flexible to meet his needs and integrate him into the school community. This was the first daycare/school setting for my 2.5yo and she cried the first two weeks but then adjusted and is happy there. She is very attached to her teachers and classmates. She loves going to weekly French class, music class and PE, doing her work and going to recess each day. RMS has many engaging school-wide events for the children, from the International Peace Day celebration to the International Day luncheon, from the Thanksgiving potluck to the Mother's Day and Father's Day events. The upper classes have many activities too, including monthly field trips, ice skating lessons for 8 weeks in the winter, a spring play and spring art show and more. The director is kind, personable, and always makes time to talk. I was so impressed that during the first week of school, she already knew all the children by name and took time to greet them. We are looking forward to another wonderful year at RMS.
