My Mother has been here for over a week. She's been very satisfied. There are several good things such as how clean and spacious the rooms and hallways are. The visiting hours are amazing. The food is far better than any other rehabilitation center. The staff is friendly. The events seem to be well attended. The parking is a problem on holidays and Sundays. The nurses are hit or miss. Some are amazing and others were clock pushers. The care is good not great. There is a very long response time when calling for assistance. The Doctors seem qualified but very generic. The price is equal to many other rehabilitation centers nearby. The physical therapy is consistent. I would feel comfortable having an elder family member live or stay here. read more

St Joseph's Manor comes highly recommended. We have had 2 experiences in the rehab section. The first was caring, efficient and provided a successful recovery for my spouse. Our recent experience has not met those expectations. Rehab is short staffed. Patients often wait 20 to 30 minutes for response to a nurse call for help. My spouse needed additional medicine for a new condition, yet had to wait almost 48 hours because we were told it had not been delivered. Due to delay in identifying a new Fever, my spouse needed to be admitted to the hospital again for a newly acquired infection. Upon return to rehab, he did not receive the medication prescribed by hospital staff. Upon visiting, I found my spouse lying on the floor, having fallen from the wheelchair. No staff was in sight & despite calls for help, no one came until I found staff in another unit to come & help. Very very disappointed in the care. read more

This place is merely a bed. The rehab portion is a non functioning unit. They do not care for the patient. They do not respond to calls for assistance. They will allow a patient to lay in their urine. This place should be shut down. Managment is rude and non caring. My wife suffered serious set back requiring extensive physical therapy due to her stay there. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would!! This place does not care about the continuity of care for the patients!! It is an absolute disgrace! Holy Redeemer hospital is no better! The amount of contradicting decisions we heard from different doctors was unreal. It's bad enough trying to navigate the health of your loved ones without having to drag information out of the alleged health care professionals!! We literally had to fight for every bit of care he received. I was told that the doctor at St Josephs Manor does not think it's necessary for my father to see his oncologist because "it won't change anything while he's here." Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! read more

My mom was a resident for 15 months. Many pluses, including food and activities. Negatives were response times and theft. They need to work on communication. Leave your jewelry with the kids. read more

Very sadly, I must say that this facility is incapable of caring for the needs of a population with limited cognitive ability. My mother in law suffered from early dementia stages while there. At that time, they had had minimal training in dealing with dementia patients. Had they told us that, it would never have been a place we would choose for her to reside. We would receive daily phone calls informing us of what she had done wrong, how she had become provocative in situations, and she was actually accused of several wrongdoings. I am not saying that these were not accurate, but when I asked for proof, or how we could find out more, we were denied. Pay close attention to your relative's signs....my mother in law physically bristled when one particular nurse came near her.....on the day that we chose to move her to a new facility, that particular nurse loudly announced..."I never MISTREATED her". Oddly, that idea, nor those words, had ever been entertained in our thought process. Also, for an entire week, a medication was given to her without a physician's orders. It would be very easy to name names, but it was more a community feeling of apathy. If someone from the facility is interested in more specificity, it would be my honor to outline some more of the egregious occurrences. My mother in law had the opportunity to live out her life in a very lovely facility, that immediately knew how to deal with those both in the pains of Alzheimer's and the family that loved them. It was in a full faith, all welcome, facility...and no one ever had to say that they had not MISTREATED her, as it was quite obvious no one ever did. As this all occurred many years ago, my husband asked me why now? I don't know, perhaps it is here to help someone else with what to look for. I am hoping that there is different staff, different training, and a higher level of compassion. read more

My mother recently was rehabbing and in your care over the Christmas holidays . She was so happy with the care she received and said that she learned more from your staff than all the other places she has been to put together.. There were many holiday activities which she also fully enjoyed. You see my Mom is very ill and is in and out of hospitals and homes , at St. Joes she was treated with cheer and respect and on Christmas Day you were kind enough to find a room for my whole family, so we could all spend Christmas together as a family with our Mother..
