Our…read morejourney began when my son joined Ms. Angeline's class at 3.5 years old, after a disappointing experience at a chain private school. From the moment he started at MSF, we saw a remarkable difference. He was genuinely happy each day and looked forward to his "working time" at school. Ms. Angeline has a deep respect for each child as an individual. She nurtured our son's growth both academically and personally, helping him gain confidence in expressing his needs and tailoring projects to match his interests and developmental needs. The environment she created in the Evergreen B class was warm, engaging, and thoughtfully structured. Because of the incredible experience our son had, we decided to enroll our daughter at MSF as well. She joined Ms. June's class and also had a wonderful time. Coming from a full Chinese-speaking environment, the transition to an English-speaking classroom could have been challenging--but Ms. June, being bilingual, provided the perfect support. Our daughter was very shy at first, but Ms. June thoughtfully paired her with older, bilingual classmates and helped her adjust with care and patience. In less than half a year, school became her favorite place to be. We especially appreciated the school's community spirit and special events, such as International Week and Sharing Night, which brought families together and created lasting memories.

My main concern was with his teacher. Over two years, I didn't see meaningful effort to teach or support my son. Instead, the feedback I received was that "your child is not suited for Montessori" -- which felt less like a thoughtful assessment and more like a way to avoid working with him. A Montessori environment is supposed to meet a child where they are; that wasn't our experience. I also found the administrative side of the school to be inflexible in a way that didn't feel parent-friendly. On one occasion in two years, I was ~1 minute late at pickup due to traffic and was charged a late fee. A one-time delay being treated the same as a chronic issue tells you something about the culture. Other parents may have had a different experience, and I'm sure some children thrive here. Ours did not, and I wanted to share an honest account for parents who are weighing this school.

They are incredibly kind and have a great sense of humor, which makes the classroom such a positive and welcoming place for the children. Together, they create an environment where every child feels seen and heard, and they build strong, meaningful connections with their students. Ms.Giri brings a nurturing and gentle approach, truly understanding that the children are still young kindergarteners. She pampers them with warmth and care, making them feel safe, comforted, and supported every day. Ms.Vohra, on the other hand, beautifully complements this by encouraging the children to become more responsible and independent. She ensures they learn to follow rules and classroom routines, helping them grow with confidence and structure. They are both attentive to the children's needs and address concerns promptly. We also have experienced their genuine care firsthand. On two occasions when my daughter misplaced her sweater, Ms.Giri went above and beyond to help--she even replaced it with a new one so my daughter wouldn't worry. Whenever my daughter has taken a sick day, she has always made it a point to personally call and check on her health, which means so much to us. They also ensured we receive the essential homework sheets on time so my daughter could keep up. These gestures truly touch our hearts and reflect the deep care and dedication they have for her students.

Seems to be very male dominated and not a good environment for children. my daughters friends go here and they feel as if this private school is off putting and some teachers have no experience in teaching. play ground is really small, no room for kids to play and cafeteria even smaller. Great experience with smaller staff but head of school needs to change. very rude. they take all your money for no good outcome in your childs learning. cheap, rude and expensive they really get the parents with an experience they can't uphold. put your kids in a better school with better teachers, staff and curriculum and to the head of school 'wagner' do better.

First of all, this year, we had a temporary campus for a new campus that was still in construction. The quality was terrible. We could hear the construction from inside and when we were outside we were exposed to the dust that came from the construction it was a nightmare we also had to eat our lunch outside in the sun although they had picnic tables in PE was outside in the grass they gave many people many allergic reactions. And the grass had potholes. Many, many potholes. They have divided the MPR into five classrooms and it was really noisy. It was hard for any students there to focus at all. We were all desperately waiting for the new campus. Oh, and if you think that's bad enough, that was only this year. Last year, three teachers left the school midway two of them fired. And when they had to fire the first teacher they blamed it on the students at the school, even though they specified that they did not want the teacher fired, but they just wanted her to change her teaching habits in a way that would suit all of the students at the school. I mean, are the students not allowed to voice their concerns about the school and make it a better environment for the new students? And they're paying money to go to the school. Which brings me to my next point, the tuition. The year that the school opened, the tuition was twenty four thousand dollars. The tuition kept on increasing over the years, from twenty four thousand dollars to twenty five thousand dollars to twenty six thousand dollars and now twenty seven thousand dollars. The tuition has just been skyrocketing since the school opened. But there are upsides. And when I say upsides, I mean a lot of upsides. First of all, there are only 150 kids at the upper school. That gives teachers a lot more time to communicate with the students at the school and help them with any concepts that they do not understand. Teachers also have office hours after school to help students with any questions they may have. The teachers want the students to learn, and that's what makes this environment important. Everyone works together like one big happy family. The friendships that students make here are everlasting. If you make a friend one year, that friend will never leave your side and will always have your back. The students have such great memories of their past years, and they reminisce one their past experiences at the school. Overall, I would recommend the school for people who are committed to academics and don't care much about extracurricular activities. As BASIS grows there are more and more extracurricular activities that are emerging such as cross country basketball, volleyball, soccer, and flag football, as well as clubs that are offered by the school. Thanks for reading! Edit: After four amazing years, I have decided to transfer to another high school.

Very different compared to other schools I toured. We were placed on a waiting list, enrolled our daughter at another preschool in the meantime and and nearly 18 months later we got a call saying there was an opening for her. Our daughter is extremely shy and has anxiety. Mr. Justin was the head teacher in her class at the time and was so wonderful in guiding and helping her. We chose to keep her at MVM through kindergarten because our younger daughter was also attending and we didn't want to have 2 separate drop off/pick ups. Fast forward to 2025 and we have ended our journey with MVM. Our girls have really enjoyed their time at this school. They have learned so much more than we could have imagined and have made some great friends. In addition to reading, writing (cursive too!) and math, they have been taught how to work with each other and independently, daily life skills, grace and courtesy. The environment is always calm and organized. The teachers and staff are so sweet and it really feels like you're part of a family. There aren't enough words to express our deepest gratitude for all that the MVM staff and teachers have provided for our family.

There's a huge focus not just on academics which they do a great job with, but also social emotional growth, developing character traits, learning about God and the Bible, and just having fun through it all! The playground is incredible and recently renovated with a Tiny Town and a little garden that the kids help tend to. The snacks are healthy and they try to mix it up. The bathrooms are really clean (weird thing to bring up but says a lot!) as is the whole facility. It's nicely air conditioned in the summertime and each classroom has its own HEPA filter. Doors to get into the lobby and another set of doors to the classrooms are keypad locked so it feels super safe. We loved all the opportunities we got to participate in (mother's/father's day breakfasts, Christmas musical, Halloween/Trunk or Treat, Easter egg hunt, etc). One of our son's favorite activities each Wed was chapel time led by Pastor Doug where he got to sing and dance with the whole school. When it came to COVID, the school always kept us updated on any changes in public health guidance and any exposures. We also really appreciated their approach to discipline which was firm but always loving and respectful. KH and FCC invest so much into the kids and if they expanded their program to elementary school, it would be a no brainer to stay. But alas, our son has aged out and we are sad to leave. If we ever find another teacher half as amazing as Mrs. Rana, who taught our son over the last year+, we will count ourselves lucky.
