My daughter had been into other treatment facilities before Annie's House and nothing seemed to work. She was homeless and deep into her addiction. Every night i was in fear of the impending call or knock on my door. Annies house was our saving grace. I cant speak more highly of the staff, the attention and care given to my daughter exceeded my expectations and hers at Annies House. If it wasnt for Annies House and Staff, my daughter would not have her life back, and i would not have my daughter back. She is still in recovery and its been almost a year. The longest sober time ever for her. My daughter is becoming the daughter i lost, to see her laugh, living and appreciation for stronger sober friends as a support system. She is working, attends meetings and a sponsor. She has exceeded my expectations when at one time i had almost lost all Hope. But i remember reading what one of Annies staff had written...."There is always Hope!" There is a nicely equipped therapy room/gym to meet most everyone's needs. The CNA's and nurses were exceptional, timely, and very responsive. There was a wide variety of meals with alternatives also available. i had never been thru any type of recovery program before odyssey. so i have nothing to compare it…read moreto, but they have to be one of the best programs out there. i was homeless for 14 years, delt wioth addiction since i was a young kid. and i was just done being in and out jail, living on the streets, all of it. they really helped me get some tools to move forward. the way the program helps you with sober living after residential, made iot possible for me tpo get in a position i could start to build a life. after 14 years on the streets, with thier help i've now had a job almost a year, got my own place. i never could have or would have done it by alone. they helped me get all my legal problems taken care of and get a handle on life. i am truly grteatful for the whole experience, the good parts and the bad parts, they are very good at what they do. if you need help fixing your life, these are people to talk to.,

I traveled…read moreto the center from out of state, on the recommendation of an acquaintance, seeking help with severe depression and anxiety. At first, the treatment felt great. I was happier than I had been in a long time. I loved the light bed and the energy work. The staff was nice. But the problems didn't become clear to me until years after I had completed treatment and returned home. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the theta chamber. I know it is well-intended. And it does its job, but it does it out of the context of the whole human experience. It encourages "normal" levels of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. This sounds like a good thing, but those neurotransmitters help you interpret your life experiences--what behaviors should be rewarded and which ones should be avoided. In my case, the theta chamber treatment threw me so far out of balance I wasn't aware of it until years later. Things may have changed in the last 5 years since I received treatment. However, I would recommend caution when choosing any method that would treat one part of you in isolation of others. And by "others," I mean the habits, relationships, environments, and life experiences that play a part in shaping you to be the person you have become. I'm in a good place and happy with my progress. I found other options that work well for me. And I hope the same for all those who are looking for healing and balance!

Next, after my scheduled time in the Theta chamber, I was in such an open and "clean-slate" state, that my NLP session with Mike Simpson got to the very core of my core issues. I didn't even realize what my problems were, let alone the source of them. Needless to say, the chance to "get it all out" has changed me dramatically. Food was ok, if we were to complain about anything it would have to be that they left there left over food and dirty dishes until the next Day or until we asked them to take them out of our room. Also same thing with the dirty wet towels, they would leave them in the bathroom for ever, or at least until we asked them to remove them. We have been to a few other facilities similar to this one in the Wasatch Front. I will say this, most of them would not even be acceptable for our Dogs let alone our love ones. We should all have our Eyes on this, one thing for sure is we will all be old or need a recoop facility to help us get well sooner or later.

I stayed at…read moreHighland Care after a hip fracture surgery and received Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy there. I was there for 5 weeks before returning home. The therapy was very good and the nursing staff were attentive and personable. After being home for a couple of weeks, the hip implant I had in the surgery broke and I had to go back to emergency and have another surgery. Remove and replace the titanium hardware. The hospital asked if I had a preference for a facility for therapy and I requested going back to Highland. I knew what it was like, and there is staff there who really made a good impression. Not everyone is exceptional but the staff that are great more than make up for those who are just doing a job. I had my laptop there and my mobile phone and left them in room all the time while going to the gym for therapy. Nothing ever went missing. The 2 visits I had I was never worried about security or safety. The food is okay, sometimes it was really good and sometimes it was fair. My second stay was half as long as the first time. I had never known about or been to a place like this before. It took some getting used to, as time went on I started figuring out the therapy process and progressing. The PT and OT staff here are really good and they really care about their patients. The care of my surgery wound was really good, I knew before leaving the hospital that there was a problem with the dressings they used in my first surgery. After a couple of weeks at Highland the wound care team had it taken care of. Considering that I was in the wing where people are recovering from the hospital this is what I know about. The other side is long term care and I don't know that.

Tiffany was our family counselor and she was absolutely amazing. Experienced, savvy, patient. We really needed that. The weekly virtual parent groups weren't just about commiserating, like so many other facilities who don't quite know how to help parents. They were informative and helpful, led by Jenn who is also wonderful. Elevations has a strong focus on the entire family, not just the kid and that's really the key. We aren't sending our kids away because they are "bad", the whole family system needs a reset and it is just as much the parents' responsibility to grow and change as it is our kids. Any parent who thinks their kid's behavior is solely their doing and problem is a big part of the problem. The parent retreats were WONDERFUL! I participated in every one of them. It's such a difficult decision to put your child in treatment and it is not an easy thing to go through. However, I want anyone reading this to know that there is hope on the other side of you ALL put in the work and if you have the right help. We found Elevations through an educational consultant, which I HIGHLY recommend getting. As parents, we're navigating blindly in a crisis state and need help. If you've found Elevations though, lucky you! This is a good place. I spoke to many other parents going through the program who'd wished they'd found this place first. Thank you, Elevations.
