I will never go to St Joseph candler urgent one again in my life. Not only are the staff loud and rude, but the nurse actually hung up in my face while I was talking to her about the prescription I had been prescribed that was making me so very ill. I was shocked she did that. This was the 2nd time in a year I visited one of their offices. The first time over a year ago I was misdiagnosed and wound up in hospital for correct treatment. I could have sued as I could have died, but since I got better, I let it go. I decided to go to the different office this time in hopes of better treatment. No matter how busy you may be, there is never a reason to be rude to a patient. I will never forget this incident and I will be sure this situation will be known to others. read more

Im astonished at the out of pocket fee for an appointment at the urgent care, particularly for the same issue that wasn't resolved with my first visit at a St. Joseph's Candler Urgent care (Rincon). This was with State of Georgia health insurance. I filled in my appointment online and was met with the very kind receptionist (Nina) who asked if I still had insurance from a previous carrier (I did not). I mentioned that this was still an issue stemming from a previous SJC urgent care that wasn't resolved or was ineffective, and very quickly was summoned back to speak with Tish, who asked me what happened. I explained my medical situation, and she told me that after 3 days, follow-up couldn't be done and this was viewed as a new appointment. She then proceeded to tell me it was her understanding that I was making a complaint, and since I wasn't I could go back to the waiting room. Now, I didn't have to wait much longer to get called back to an exam room. But the altogether speed woth which a complaint was handled dwarfed the handling of other clients. I will reiterate that this is not a new issue, but stems from either improper diagnosis originally at one of your facilities, or ineffective treatment. Im not certain why I'm penalized to the tune of am additional $182 just because I didn't fall into a 3 day window. Healthcare should be case by case, not one size fits all situation. Also, I can't believe how challenging it is to obtain a PCP. March 9 2026 was the next availability for thr doctor who I had established in thst capacity. Overall, I'm just not thrilled, and it has very little to do with the actual medical practitioners I dealt with. read more

Great, clean and well designed facilities with a studied eye on establishing a place and reputation at the top of northwestern Savannah suburbs modern medical care facilities. When we arrived (early) for a procedure we received prompt and cordial processing while the intake sequence flowed very smoothly. While not yet cleared for overnight stays or more critical treatment where more intensive monitoring is best done at the central compound downtown. For other, same day medical procedures these facilities are the best and most effective and efficient that you'll find in a very area. Get your treatment here if it's offered to you, is easy to get to, and out of afterwards. read more

After scheduling an appointment online with my doctor, I was called the morning of the appointment and told I was now considered a new patient. My current doctor was no longer accepting new patients, even though I had been her patient. I would have to reschedule as a new patient. I asked to do so and was told the first available appointment would be in December. It's currently March. I don't know what they have going on there, but this is less than ideal. My entire family currently goes to St, Joes but this has left a bad taste. read more

Went for my Mamagram, necessary trip but the experience was quick and great! The efficiency of their process was top notch.

Love the Pooler location. Super clean. Everything is electronic check in. They text you giving you notice your nurse is about to call you. Staff fast and efficient while being friendly. Doctor is nice and cute! I was in a car accident and needed a pcp to get me on track. His staff has been wonderful calling in the referrals and xray and mri. I was able to have the xrays taken that day. It was my best xray experience ever. Glad I found the Pooler location. The building has a hugh atrium in the front so you don't feel like you're walking into a pit of germs! Lovin it! read more

Unable to speak with a representative in the Billing office. I left 8 messages over 4 days for a return call concerning my billing statement. The outgoing message states "return call by end of day or within 24 hours". I have heard nothing. We recently relocated from Chicago IL where my spouse was responsible for medical provider call centers. I am completely baffled that the staff is not addressing these calls. read more

My experience was wonderful at this facility. The hospital is very clean. The staff were informative and caring. Shout out to Jennifer and Paige in the day surgery centre for taking such good care of me and making my stay so pleasant. I highly recommend St. Joseph's Pooler, GA hospital. read more

I tried to make an appointment for a primary care doctor and was told no new patients are being accepted. They have a Primary Care Doctor shortage and until they fix that nothing will change - period. I guess all I can say is good luck to the 8100 new employees being hired by Hyundai moving in close to Pooler - you won't be finding a doctor nearby! SAD!! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. After calling and asking for an appointment with my regular physician of 2 years, and being told no and to go to Urgent care three times, I finally got an appointment. Was handed someone else's chart with all their personal information and told to sit down and fill it out! I was told at that appointment that pain medication would be called into the pharmacy on four consecutive days. It never was. The nurse manager called me and was hugely rude after I asked her why this was happening. She said Taneisha was told she was not following the correct procedures (I guess she was a nurse in that office), and hung up on me. The day after this I received an email and a certified letter stating they no longer wanted me for a patient. That's ok. I don't want them and their lack of professionalism and knowledge. The most unorganized, unprofessional, disrespectful medical institution I have ever visited. How is a place that is designed to help creating more problems. First, I enrolled my children and the birthdate was inputted wrong and I was turned away due to their mistake. Second, my family was exposed to COVID and went immediately to get tested and was greeted by " if you don't have insurance we can't see you", not a "hello"? "how can I help you"? Third, after being seen in the ER and told medication would be sent to a pharmacy it NEVER was sent. If you can go anywhere else I would! You'll have better luck using WebMD. read more

This is the worst primary care office I have ever dealt with. Messages are not responded to, calls with the nurse are abrupt and issues are never resolved. I am new to the area and if this is a reflection of the Georgia healthcare system, I am extremely unimpressed. I can't wait for open enrollment to change insurance and PCP. read more

I have been here many times before for various injuries (all horse related) and surgeries. I was surprised to see low ratings as my experiences here have all been top-notch. They are kind, thorough and attentive when pain and fear sets in! Lol. I prefer this location to any in Savannah, which is where I live. read more

I tried on two separate occasions to make an appointment for two sepeate problems, once for vomiting and nausea and once for severe back pain caused by 3 herniated discs and a cracked vertebra both times i was told i require PERMISSION to make an appointment. I am not a new patient so I have no clue but they would not do it. So in my opinion they run this place like the medical mafia and the doc is the don and he and his minions decide who gets care and who doesn't. I had not been to the doctor in over a year because I happen to be poor, so I guess that means when you get some money and need to go to the doctor they may or may not help you. But don't count on it because these people are horrible. I still have no appointment after talking to central scheduling and their supervisor all she offered was to speak to her manager. Still no appointment and they run the show just try to get an appointment with a doctor outside of St Josephs Candler in Savannah. After relocating to the area, we have been researching a PCP, talking with others, reaching out on social media and to our current physicians. I called this practice today to schedule an opportunity to transfer our records to Dr. Foley and Dr. Dholaria, highly recommended. Coming from the City of Medicine, Durham, NC and Duke University, we take great pride in how the medical staff treats patients and especially new patients. We have some of the best doctors and facilities in the world in Durham, NC. I am sure these doctors must be excellent here because when I called I was met with, "Sorry, they aren't accepting any new patients. Maybe you could try another facility." As a teacher, I clearly understand being over imposed upon and having to take care of more than your share. However, there should be a waiting list offered or another physician added of said quality to take care of patients that have built this reputation for you. Looking for a highly qualified female doctor is not quite as easy to find, and being shot down before I basically opened my mouth was unprofessional and insulting. I asked if I could speak with a staff member or have the doctor or nurse talk with me and she said, "What do you want to ask them as we do not leave messages if you are not a patient."
