After leaving the Urgent Care in downtown Savannah, I went straight to the one located on Derenne Ave. Boy, what a massive difference in professionalism. When I walked in, I had to wait about 15-minutes to let the people who had already been seen checkout and then allow the ones before me to go to the counter. When I went to the counter, the girl whispered if I was there for a Covid test, being mindful that I might not want people around me knowing my business -- pure class on her part. Once I confirmed, she had Sarah Holton assist me. Sarah was very kind, understanding, professional, and straightforward. She gave me options with pricing as they don't take insurance and made sure I was OK with everything before moving forward. You could tell she genuinely cares about her patients, and although she deals with many sick people a day hasn't lost her compassion. Once the Doctor arrived, whose name escaped me, but she was a lovely sweet petite red-headed woman, who was as equally kind, gentle, and compassionate as Sarah, she was able to put me on a Covid recovery plan. Urgent Care, unlike many other clinics, is in the healing business and prescribes what is needed for you to heal, not what is recommended by big Pharma to make a profit. I am so grateful I found them. They are worth every penny you spend out of pocket. They gave me the paperwork to get reimbursement from my insurance company, so that's a bonus. Also, when I told Sarah about the experience I had at the historic Savannah location, she apologized on behalf of the company and reported the incident to her management. They don't take insurance so it's $99 for the visit which isn't bad if you don't have insurance I guess. The exam rooms are not clean. The floors are dirty and the bin for what looks like IV fluid bags and other things similar doesn't have a lid. Also trash on the floor and the regular trash can has no lid. The Nurse Practitioner is nice but didn't really seem to know how to diagnose me. She asked me if I wanted various shots and tests but I really am not sure because well, I'm not a medical professional. Four and one half stars actually. First went to St. Joseph's Candler emertency room and there were 25 people waiting to see a doctor, so I walked out. Went to 24/7 and there was no wait. I was experiencing an infection and pain, and the receptionist checked me in quickly without too much paperwork, and she and the PA Sarah gave me the treatment I needed quickly and with friendly and caring professionalism. Half star off for not accepting insurance and somewhat older office. read more

Highway robbery--99$ visit, $199 charge to place two staples (for the two minute procedure), and $89 for the "surgical tray" (aka stapler). And two hours in the office with an 18 mo old. On the plus side the receptionist was very sweet as was the person who did the procedure (though she didn't introduce herself). Went in to get some foot pain checked out. I was placed into an exam room and waited about 30 min before someone brought me back to the x-ray room. I thought that was strange since nobody had even looked at my foot yet... I even kept the sock on during the x-ray. Waited 30 min for the radiologist to get the results back. Finally I speak with a nurse practitioner who is going through a list of medications she recommends. Eventually I had to ask if she wanted to take a look at my foot? Just a weird experience, felt like I was on a sales floor instead of a medical facility. Spent 2 hours and $255 to be told to ice it. Vote Bernie. read more

What a pleasant surprise! During the hurricane with no other options, they took wonderful care of me! Erin was so courteous, kind and knowledgeable she made me feel instantly in good hands. Dr. Abbey was kind, fast and had me treated and out the door faster than most urgent care clinics would have checked me in. Facility was immaculate! I did not know what to expect when I showed up at Urgent Care last night. When I pulled up they let me in and took care of me immediately. I was suffering from a severe asthma attack that I had been trying to push through for days, as well as bronchitis that they later diagnosed. I could not be more grateful for the incredible service these people gave me. Normally, going to any emergency center sets me over the edge, but not these guys. They let me know exactly what I was paying for and even helped me save some money in the process. They printed paperwork to give to my insurance company copied my SOAP notes and burnt a copy of my x-Ray. The paramedic, Brooks, is a great guy and made me feel extremely comfortable, as well as the people who showed up to assess my problem. Thank you guys for not screwing around and helping me breathe again! Brings tears to my eyes just thinking how scared I was and how they made everything okay! Please do not hesitate to be seen! Run of the mill STI check. It took 3 weeks for them to admit they lost my results after about the 4th time calling. No one had a clue what was going on and seemingly didn't try all that hard to find out why my results had not come back, save for Wayne who was more than helpful and it took him all of 60 seconds to figure out what was wrong. Then I was refused a refund because "the third party charges us for the test." Grossly unacceptable and clueless establishment. read more

OMG! I just walked out of this place. I think I have broken ribs, walked in and the shaggy heavily bearded bandanna wearing receptionist was so rude, I walked out. First he abruptly went over the charges and then he said yes or no? He was mumbling so much I caught half of it and I asked what was the question. He said yes or no. This happened three times I said I didn't hear you ask a question. He just kept saying yes or no. Finally he said do you want to be seen, and I said yes of course. Adding that sorry I didn't hear the question. Then he says to step in this room and hands me paperwork to fill out but he's holding it too high and I can't lift my arm, so I get it with my other arm. He then says physician probably won't see me. X-ray would be $125 and I said OK. He then says that if it's broken they can't fix it if not they can't do anything. I couldn't believe what he was saying, I don't know if my rib is broken, that's why I was there. I just got a really awful feeling and told him I was leaving and did not like his attitude. If you ever broken a rib you know how extremely painful it is, went home and cried. This guy should be fired immediately. Contemplated going to another urgent care, but what is the point. read more

So thankful for them. They helped me when I probably didn't have anything awful enough to go to the ER. I was in intense pain in my stomach, nothing helped and I cried all day but I just thank God for the doctor and Rocky! They were so nice and believed everything i said, and got me some nausea and pain medicine through a few shots. Even when I started screaming and crying (real mature I know, but I was in awful pain) the doctor came in to help me and checked up on me once again because I wasn't allowed to leave until 15 minutes after my shots. I came here the early morning of thanksgiving and the staff was great! Everyone was really nice, well mannered, and I was treated effectively and efficiently. Everything is charged in shop and they don't take insurance but I didn't find the cost to be much more than my copay for an ER visit. This office came recommended by our hotel, and I am so glad we followed the recommendation. The staff was very professional and efficient. My 18 year old daughter broke her foot stepping off of a college bus. Her roommates brought her to this location around 10:30 pm. The paramedic who was at the front desk, told them that it was going to be very expensive to get treated there. He took at quick look at her foot in the waiting area and told her that x-rays would be at least $200 - and he recommended that she go home, take a couple of Motrin and something stronger if needed - and then made a sign with his hand that would infer drinking alcohol. She and her roommates are 18 year old college freshmen! Thank goodness this was an issue that could wait until morning, imagine if this had been something more serious?? read more

(Didn't know about its location or would have gone there) They don't take insurance - they quoted a price of $130 and the price was $220! Brought in a child for a suspected step throat -very mild. They prescribed prednisone- a very complicated anti inflammatory steroid to a 60lb child! Bad vibe that you're about to get taken right from the beginning! Called to ask a question before driving 30 min to the clinic. The man who answered the phone around 10 pm on March 9th was one of the rudest associates at Urgent Care I have ever encountered. He had an attitude and was short and sarcastic. Not to mention the lack of knowledge or desire to help. After telling me that the condition can't be treated he said they can only apply OTC medication. When I asked what the name of that medication was, there was a long silence and he snapped- the one I just mentioned to you? Excuse me? Being in pain and not having the time or energy to deal with that attitude I simply called the Pooler 24/7 where they were able to answer all my questions and provide help and information in a nice and professional manner. Why would I want to spend $100 to deal with rude and unprofessional staff? Who need to look at pictures because they are unsure if its problem A or B? Please train your employees! read more

This place is horrible. Waited forever to be seen and there was only 2 people ahead of me. They did not inform that they did not take insurance and after your visit they stick it too you.
