He developed a true love for learning and exploring. He was potty trained and taught social skills and school procedures. Everyday he was greeted with hugs and love by ALL the staff! Most days when I would pick him up, he wanted to stay because he was having so much fun. When my son started experiencing some behavioral issues Ms. Freda worked very hard to help and support my son. My daughter started at 4 months and was loved and greeted by the staff before she was even born. LOL Mrs. Candis and all of the staff in the baby room took such great care of her. Putting her in daycare so young didn't scare me because I knew she would receive a great amount of attention, love and care. I was updated with pictures and texts regularly throughout the week. My daughter came home with some of the cutest art projects etc. which let me know she wasn't just sitting around all day. Children's choice is a great place to send your kids. The staff is and quality of care they provide is what makes that place a child's choice!

I didn't everything under the sun to get this problem under control. I did speech therapy and ABa therapy through the San Diego Regional Center. I kept the staff informed over everything that was going on. We even tried to come up with a behavior plan, and it didn't work. So. I got my son assessed for autism, and guess what, he is autistic. And we are talking high functioning. Once we got the diagnosis, I kept them informed of all the goings on, including him getting in daycare help from Easter Seals. And as anyone knows, getting this kind of in school help takes a minute. It doesn't happen overnight. You need to go through intake and assessments. They did not care at all. They kicked him out before help could come. They had no sympathy or empathy or compassion for a kid with autism. He is now thriving in a new daycare with daycare help from Easter Seals. He has an ABA therapist 2 hours a day every day of the week at daycare. He hasn't had a biting or behavioral incident in months. All they had to do was wait. But I was told that they weren't sure they could help a kid like Milo even with the diagnosis and help. I'd also like to mention that I did get in trouble with them after the expulsion because I was very very upset with their decision and couldn't hold back. I wanted to fight for my kid and for fairness. I will always be on my kids side and be their advocate. So there was no appeals process. I should have kept my cool, but I felt like I did everything right and they just saw him as a problem with no solution. I even tried to contact their main office to tell them of the diagnosis and the process for what happens next. I called and emailed several times with no response for almost two weeks. If you have a child that has any type of special needs, do not go here.

She is loving and thoughtful with all of the kiddos. She goes above and beyond and does it in a really humble way. Ms. Marilyn and Ms. Stephanie were my son's primary teachers and he adored them. After all, as parents, the hardest decision to make is who to trust your baby with. Most tend to stay with what they know, because it's comfortable and proven to be safe even if it doesn't fit each child you have as perfectly as the last. Fortunately for my family, we found the best fit. The fit being Academy of Play. The teachers are all caring, emotionally attentive, and tuned in with each child as if they were their own. The documentation, updates throughout the day, regular photos, lesson plans, and development assessments are comforting and reassuring that my baby is well taken care of. The staff is not lazy when it comes to speaking with the children. Your child will fully be immersed in Spanish. There is no bias if the child does not come from a native Spanish speaking environment or if the child does not have a Hispanic/Spanish/Latin background. The classrooms are bright, clean, and filled with tons of art. There is always an instructor led activity and the school invites families to attend musicals, art shows, and more. The chances to be involved especially the parent/teacher meetings regardless of age does ease a lot of mom guilt I tend to have due to needing to work long hours some days.
