My boyfriend and I called in an order for takeout and within 10 minutes of making the call we had our food. We walked in to the bar and went to pay, the lady who rang us up was very friendly. Although the bar area was packed with a lot of older men the restaurant section was dead which was odd for it being 5pm aka dinner time. I felt somewhat awkward and I'm not sure if it's because we aren't from the area permanently or what but I felt like as soon as we walked in people were watching us. Not a great atmosphere. SO NOW THE FOOD. My favourite thing besides St Louis fries and their dill sauce would have to be the garlic twists appetizers. OH MY GOD AMAZING!! They made the meal to be honest. The one negative I wasn't pleased with was by boneless bites I got Parmesan garlic and they just tasted off. I've had that sauce before at other locations but this tasted very different. Usually I like VERY saucey but this was too much and too, once again "off" for my liking. It was literally like they slopped mayonnaise all over the wings, it was not enjoyable. We ordered poutine, NOT fries, so this whole order was a complete f*** up. My burger wasn't anything pretty however it more than made up for it in taste and freshness. Maybe there are benefits to hit up a kitchen at 10:30 at night. My fires were super hot; the burger cooked to perfection. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. I will be sure to visit again soon and give them another try. read more

I am thinking new restaurant here and the idea is the servers might be enthusiastic. Not so. Indifferent service as in, "Do I really have to do this?" and not much we could recommend in terms of food. Big screen televisions (all set to the same channel, when we visited) dominate the bland décor. We tried the St. Louis Sampler a combination of wings with garlic dill sauce, fried pickles, wings, rings and fries. So what's not to like about deep fried and breaded foods combined with a cold zesty zippy beer? The changes are sad..... Simply put, my family and I have lost the stomach for their food and they killed the goose that laid the golden egg. We used to love this place. Went there last night and what a disappointment... the food quality has gone down dramatically. Yes the food is overpriced, when on top of it's half cooked and cold, that becomes a real problem. There was a table of drunk hooligans, yelling and belching constantly... I asked the waitress why they were still bringing more beer and shots to their table since they were making it intolerable for the rest of us, she apologized and told a guy who must have been the manager... long story short nothing changed and we left after paying $27 (plus tip) for 2 beers, fries and onion rings... the rest of the food was cold and undercooked so we didn't eat it but still got charged for it ( thank god it was half price night!!!!) Not a good place to go on Friday evening for dinner. This is a bar, period. Ordered wings, no plate for the bones, no extra napkins, no wet wipes for the hands. The "server" took our order but someone else delivered the food. She did ask us twice how things were as she went whizzing by, but unfortunately she was gone before we could answer. The person who served our meal said it was the waitress' fault and we mentioned she served our meal. She said she wasn't a waitress, she was the hostess which is weird because when we walked in we were told to sit wherever we wanted. So, no "hostess" is necessary. When we told the order taker how we felt, she went and dropped a handful of wet wipes on the table and told us to take as many as we wanted and then walked away. Maybe she was miffed because I paid with debit and she didn't know I was going to leave a separate cash tip (against my husband's advice). Terrible experience and not a nice thing to go through at the end of a long week. On top of that, the wings were overcooked and tasteless. read more

My family and I go through keswick on our way up north year round. We have never had an issue the staff is excellent, the food is good. Until tonight.... our waitress was very nice and despite something going wrong in the kitchen causing a 45 minute to 1 hour delay on our food we would have gone back. After paying for our meal another waitress starts clearing away our food as we are putting our coats on and asks if we were happy with our server we said yes and she accuses us of not tipping. We had two bills in our party both of which paid with a machine and tipped the waitress. Assuming she was talking about the lack of cash sitting on the table I advised her we paid with card and tipped that way. She accuses us once more of not tipping very rudely and walks off. My complaint has nothing to do with the kitchen issue or our server as she was very lovely and everything to do with this waitress that had nothing to do with our table prior to this encounter. I didn't catch her name but whoever she is better check her attitude and learn how to read receipts. We will never be back because of her. read more

have been here twice for drinks and a Blue Jays game. One night it was really busy and one night it was a normal night about half full. It is a small pub/bar restaurant with TV's up and open tables. There is a patio area outside but it is overlooking Woodbine and did not look appealing even during the warmer months when visited. Food was ok, the one meal I had with ribs was ok but I tried a sauce on the ribs I would not order again. I just did not like it and should have just stuck to BBQ flavored. Overall the food seemed a little overpriced for the quality and portions. It was not bad, but there was nothing memorable about any of it. And to be a male pig: I go to bars at night with friends to have a few drinks, watch sports, talk about nonsense.... and to look at cute girls. Sorry, it is true. I can't agree more with the reviewer that said that the servers are not enthusiastic, you probably want to check them for a pulse. The food also fit the "overpriced" comment that another person had left. My main issue is that the portion sizes seem to have decreased, they give you a good dill dipping sauce with your meal to dip your fries in, you used to have to order a second one as they gave you a ton of fries(and I'm a heavy dipper). The last couple of times they have given us less and less fries each time. This time I barely used half the dip and I probably only had 15 fries in my meal. My opinion is that they are now established from being here for a while now, and it's time to focus on profit margins instead of customer satisfaction. If you want good wings for a good price from attentive servers, you're going to have to skip this place and go one of the other local wing shops. read more
