The musicians were incredibly talented and created an atmosphere you simply can't find anywhere else in Chesterfield. What makes this place so special is that it combines incredible food, genuine hospitality, local history, and live entertainment in a beautiful historic setting. It's the kind of place that reminds you why supporting local businesses matters. Sadly, we learned they're being forced to operate under restrictions that don't seem to reflect what this business brings to the community. Because of complaints from nearby neighbors and city limitations, they aren't allowed to stay open past 4 PM and have faced restrictions on outdoor seating and live music. That's incredibly disappointing because experiences like this are exactly what make a community unique. Where else in Chesterfield can you enjoy a wonderful lunch while listening to outstanding live music at a historic landmark? The answer is...nowhere. She directed us to the door and we were greeted by two more people. Luckily we had reservations as every table had a personalized reserve sign including our time and number in party. When making our reservation we were given the choice of the music room or some other room. We chose the back of the music room and it was perfect. There are five tables and we could see and hear the two musicians. We ordered chicken salad, tuna melt and cucumber salad. We also had a small dish of fresh fruit. We were in no hurry and our food was delivered at just the right time. The wait staff are mature women and seem to love their job. The Old House is charming and we were encouraged to tour the house on our own. As a result, I plan to bring my friends for the holidays.

There is a very small pool that I have great concerns about considering they're adding an entire hotel to the space. The capacity is 16 people. In the hall I could hear everything - a man on a phone call talking angrily, a group of women talking animatedly, a family with young children but upon entering my room silence. The breakfast spread was very nice. The food selection in their Placery was larger than most Hyatt Places - I really enjoyed the pizza. They also offer a lot of cocktails and baked desserts from cookies to giant cinnamon rolls. The staff were delightful. Everyone was so nice! Every time I passed the front desk I was greeted.
