These guys seemed super excited to buy our bike at trade in and help us get the bike we wanted. They said they could have numbers for us in 30 min while we were there. We instead asked if we could work with someone via text to do it, since we were traveling. We sent all the info and didn't hear back (not even a "got your text") for a day in a half. Every correspondence took days. I had to be the one on top of things. The GM Bill was working with us and his brother. They were both worthless! They promised things they could not actually hold up to. They also never called back when they said they would and in the end never responded to let us know they couldn't get us the deal they said they could. Super disappointed with the whole experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to buy your HD. Grateful this deal didn't go through now, because we are working with a better HD store. read more

I thought I was stranded at QT (on Lemay Ferry within sight of the shop) . Their air machine was broken (no sign applied to the machine, even after I alerted the manager & staff there) and it sucked out a lot of air from my front tire. Anyway, Gateway sent out someone to follow me to make sure I safely arrived to their shop & then they filled my tires free of charge. They were quick to respond & professional & I'm so thankful for their excellent service! You guys are awesome! read more

Every time I have been in Gateway, the staff has been friendly and helpful. The Toys For Tots Christmas community outreach was a huge success. Over 1,100 toys were collected and distributed to the St. Louis area children. Gateway has riding classes, holds monthly meetings and evening events, and is always finding new ways to make your experience at Gateway the best experience ever! The Grinch was the best!! read more

I recently bought a bike here. They have plenty to choose from. However, about half their inventory is not visible. You'll have to ask if they have certain models and they'll guide you to them if they are in storage. As expected, everyone seems knowledgeable about their department. My personal favorites are Theresa in clothing and Woody in sales. I'm not really sure if I got the best deal... but all in all, I'm happy with my purchases here. read more

This place is a joke. They called me to try and buy my motorcycle from me. They said they would buy it for retail. That was a lie. Then they make me an offer that I liked and excepted. They didn't have a check writer working on Saturday so I had to wait till they were open a couple days later. I left my bike, the title and the keys with them. Then I come in on Tuesday just to be told by the general manager, the same guy that made me the offer, that they weren't buying the bike without a legitimate reason. Avoid this place at all costs. They don't care about their customers. The general manager blamed it all on the owner. This experience has been nothing short of shady. read more

On Oct. 18 2015 I went to gateway to look at bikes and found one I liked, a 2013 ultra limited. So I traded my bike in on it. Frist mistake, I am on my fifth payment no title. I have tried to get the owners of gateway to call me not the people messing up the paper work. The owners have never called. This is now 02 23 2016 and no response and still no title. received another reject from DMV on 02 24 2016. Guess no choice time to take bike back. read more

I have bought 2 new bikes from Gateway. A solid sales staff with good knowledge on what would be a good bike for your needs. They have a good selection and run some good specials seasonally. I just had my 1000 mile maintenance done on my new road glide and Jeremy helped me pick out some new slip on mufflers. The install was perfect and when I got my bike back it was spotless. I purchased a 2015 Road Glide special brand new from gateway harley-davidson I put 16 inch handlebars on the bike and slip on mufflers that I bought from them. The bike has had a bad vibration since brand new. I took it in to them to be repaired, they told me that they would not work on it and they would not warranty the bike until I put the stock handlebars back on and the stock mufflers back on. The assessories that I put on the bike has nothing to do with the bike vibrating, it was vibrating since it was brand new. I would go to Doc's or Big St. Charles Harley Davidson, to purchase a motorcycle they are very friendly and very helpful. read more

I went to every dealer in Missouri, and one in Illinois before I bought from Gateway. They are just a bunch of simply good dudes. They don't act any certain way. They don't think they're something better than anything else. However for this very reason they ARE better. Selection's awesome too! You really need to stop in to see everything cuz it's not all on their website. Or call them. I talked to my man Steve a couple times, before I actually went, and he was super cool, and SOOOO patient. So I get there for what I was looking for, and there were not one, but three! I was like 'um... okay damn.' (all anybody else did was try to talk me into something else, and this guy's starting up what I want five minutes after I was there). And THEN I got an awesome price, and it didn't take much I'll tell you that. They made it almost too easy. haha! I was recently in a wreck with my motorcycle and had it towed her for service. I can honestly say that I will never use them again for service. My bike took over 2 months for them to complete and when by the time I got home with the bike I noticed the speedo and turn signals were not working. Also to screws holding the clutch bracket were not tight which is extremely dangerous. I am extremely upset with there service and there workmanship. First off there is no way my bike should have taken two months to get fixed. Yes is did have some damage, but it was not extremely extensive. I called multiple times to see when my bike was going to be done and if the parts had come in yet. On four separate occasions they told me it would be done early next week. Well that happened four weeks in a row. I have yet to take my bike back to have the fix the other problems. If you are considering service on your Harley I would definitely not recommend Gateway. I had a horrible experience, there service was unacceptable, and no one really did anything to make it right. read more
