Horrible experience. Poorly trained front desk staff. They are rude and lack common courtesy. I went to obtain a copy of my RX for my eyes, and the office manager said that if I wanted the prescription of my eyes, I would have to pay $40.00 to get it. I told her that I paid when I got my glasses from them. My insurance paid, and I paid the $40.00 copay. Regardless, I could not obtain my eyeglass prescription unless I paid $40.00 This is ludicrous! No other eye care establishment charges for a prescription once you are seen by a doctor on staff, and have obtained eye wear from them. Furthermore, the young girl behind the counter was loud and obnoxious, and she said, "I'm canceling your appointment with Doctor Karli". I was not even thinking of canceling my appointment with the doctor. But when she said that, I said okay then take me off your system. There are plenty of ophthalmologists in Port Saint Lucie and Stuart. Avoid St. Lucie Eye like the plague. read more

Rude front desk staff and no matter how many times I asked for a price or price range or anything regarding how much an appointment costs they refused to tell me anything. I do have insurance but still wanted to know an estimate on what my out of pocket would be. They would not even share a range. I left without seeing the doctor and called two other eye doctors, both told me the base appointment cost with and without insurance. read more

I have been a patient of St Licie Eye since the 1990's loved Dr Langley, he has gone on to his well earned retirement wish hin all the best. Along came Dr Bustamonte very nice but did not stay. Now I have Dr Karli very nice had sevI will be intoucheral appointments with her, today I walked out of the planned appointment before I could even see her. This was the visit from hell. Dr Bondalapati is the most amazing Opthamologist! She is so highly intelligent and also very compassionate. Extremely empathetic. She did my right cataract surgery with much success. I am very happy with the results. All of the staff there are just the nicest and they work so well together. It is a large practice and they all work seamlessly together. They dealt with me and many tests for almost two years and I have never had a non awesome experience. The day of surgery my heart rate and BP was super low so I could not get full anesthesia. I was terrified. The nurses assured me that the fear of the unknown was the worse part. That could not have been more true! It was such an easy and painless experience! My fear was the only and worst thing! Thank you all so much for such a wonderful experience. I have a special place in my heart for Dr Bond and wish her much success and happiness in life. I'm writing this review to ensure others know their rights. You can ask for your pupillary distance when obtaining your prescription without buying glasses at this facility. State and Federal law dictates you are to have access to a paper copy of your prescription after your exam. Additionally, outside of the prescription requirements you can ask for your pupillary distance (PD). You can use your PD to obtain glasses on online at a severely reduced rate. I was advised by Debbie at this practice that providing the PD without purchasing glasses was illegal in the state of Florida. This is not true and was a complete falsehood. I would like to remind this practice that policy at your stores and law are two different things This practice chooses to stand by "law" opposed to providing good customer service to a disabled elderly person that just suffered a PONS stroke. My mother uses this practice for eye exams, doesn't buy glasses at this facility She called to get her PD to purchase glasses online and was told they could not provide those details because she did not get glasses from the facility. I knew this to be an untruth, so I called and spoke to Debbie. She advised me the same information. I questioned further, and asked "So my eye doctor broke the law by giving me my PD without buying glasses?" Debbie confirmed that yes, my doctor broke the law. I advised her at that time, she better be correct. I have spoken to the health department and numerous other optometrists that confirmed providing the PD is not against the law It's "frowned" upon because it takes away a sale from the facility. I have filed the appropriate compliant as my mother is a Medicare patient, and I hope they are not providing that false information to other elderly patients. This could have been resolved so simply, have her come in for another exam if it was outdated but no you choose to catch an attitude with me over the phone, and stand firm on your policy oppose to trying to provide a disabled elderly person with some alternative to your overpriced 200% marked up glasses. I will note that after I obtained the correct information and contacted the facility back they said they would help. However, I had already taken care of our needs at a different facility. Worst place ever in decades of wearing glasses. ... it took more than 3 months to get my glasses and then they called and said they broke them. It would take a couple of weeks to replace them yet again. Making this attempt the 4th pair. They offered to return my money but they only refunded the out of pocket portion. They never returned the portion my insurance paid. Had to get VSP involved in getting that portion refunded. Still waiting on that portion. I went to another optical store, paid completely out of pocket and received a perfect pair in 7 days, in 7 not 90+. Go anywhere else. read more

I've been going to St Lucie Eye for years. Originally I seen Dr Langley but he is now retired. All the staff are very nice and I get a very thorough eye exam every year. They have two offices in Port St Lucie, one next door to their surgical center near St lucie Medical Center and another office in St Lucie West. Both offices have a nice selection of eye glasses to choose from too. read more

I went to this office for cataract surgeries on both eyes. Couldn't see at all well when I went in, came out with 20/20 vision in both eyes. Dr Ranna did an excellent job and left me with no questions. This is an extremely professional practice and pricing is very reasonable. I strongly recommend this practice for all your eye care needs. I am a single senior citizen and needed cataract surgery. Dr. Channon and his staff at St. Lucie Eye Associates performed the procedure making me comfortable throughout the process a answered my phone calls in an unbelievable amount of time. The results were absolutely amazing. I did have a lazy left eye which in 75 years I was never able to use and could only see light. Now I can read thru the left eye with corrective reading glasses. I recently applied to this company and their management is ridiculous. The application process was unnecessarily long since they made me wait 3 weeks to tell me I got the job and then reject me the following week. They made me go through 3 job interviews with 3 different people. We discussed a certain pay rate as one does for a job interview and agreed but then once hired they completely downgraded my pay rate and when I tried reasoning with the managers they completely disregarded my frustration and ended up denying my position even though they said I was "hired" just because they didn't want to follow through with what they had offered me in pay. And after every interview they would say "I'll email you" but only to procrastinate and give vague details.They say one thing and do another! So disappointed and disgusted by the waste of time and lack of management skills. And don't get me started on the wait times! Every time I had to go there I would wait 30 minutes just to talk to the managers even though I had an appointment! Awful! If you're thinking of going here as a patient in the Ft pierce office at least or applying as an employee don't bother. Big waste of time. read more
