I love this Leon County park and all it has to offer including beautiful off-road trails for hiking, biking, and horse riding plus gorgeous tree-lined roads in the hilly countryside for challenging on-road cycling! The only downside is that there are only five parking spaces plus one space for someone who is disabled. It gets very crowded as a result, and some of the horse people don't like the people who aren't there for horseback riding to be there because those cars sometimes have to park along the fence or in the grass. There is confusion over if this specifically an equestrian park or a multi-use park, and I have had an unkind note left on my windshield as a result (I was not parked in the horse trailers only section but rather along the fence).
I appreciate that they have a port-o-potty at the park, though I would suggest bringing your own hand sanitizer since I've rarely seen any sanitizer in the container provided. It is regularly serviced, though, and very clean with toilet paper. read more
