He is possibly the most knowledgeable doctor I've ever dealt with; he's to the point, confident in his abilities, and runs a tight ship with his staff and offices (the other one is in Orland Park by the mall). He performed two surgeries, one on each of my heels, and that spelled the end of the problems. He came in on the day after Christmas in 2000, when the office was closed, to do my post-surgery followup. While we were there, my mom asked him about the problems she'd been having with her thumb including the recent surgery done by some arrogant prick doctor who just made it worse. He wanted to do an ultrasound on her thumb; he did, and told her exactly what the hand doctor had done wrong. Mind you, he's a foot doctor and this was his day off... A very simple foot surgery turned into the most painful ordeal of my life requiring an additional surgery and months of excruciating rehab. He was totally unsympathetic and unresponsive. After first surgery he made his usual follow up call. My daughter told him that I was in so much pain that I could not speak, and he never called back. I am still battling fears of surgery because of the mind searing pain and distrust fostered by this podiatrist. This is not a description of everything I suffered at his hands but it should be enough. I finally found a better podiatrist but I never regained full use of my foot.

Dr. Shauger has gone out of her way to explain things, get me started fast on a new procedure to get my foot treated and already within a few weeks we are seeing major results. I walked out with the pain worse than it was! That ended switching to the other side.. They were very quick to bill my insurance but yet I been waiting a whole month to get paper work for my job!! Im also waiting on results for an M.R.I they suggested and still no call to review or schedule an appointment! I been loosing out on wages and been in pain and they are careless!! Office help is in lack of training and have no type of professionalism or credibility!! Worse doctors visit experience!!
