Father Tom is the pastor he has a big following and the parishioners love him because he truly cares about them their families and the community. My son did his Eagle Project here 10 years ago. The City of Hollywood than adopted the project for Make a Difference Day. It was a huge undertaking with the entire community involved. What a memorable experience for my family as well as the church. One my son and I are very proud to have been a part of.

It happened to be the Spanish mass and I do not speak nor understand too much just enough to get the jist. I just needed to be around prayer. I sat in the back of the church and couldn't stop crying. It was the end of mass and people were just touching my shoulder and I knew they were giving condolences. It was very loving. See I was new to little flower coming from resurrection in Dania. They closed shortly months before. I than went to see father Tom and he stayed with me as long as I needed and comforted me and my daughter and gave us crosses that were carved from a tree in Jerusalem. It has been over two years since that day and I now have my son and daughter as alter servers and my daughter attends youth group. Which is after the 5:30 mass on Sundays. Which I wish was in the am. Father Rich and Deacon is in charge if the servers and youth group and Cherie is also a main counselor. They play lots of games, field trips, and do volunteer work. I love it for my kids. Father Rich is very beloved amongst the kids and parents. Father Pierre is fairly new but I have to say his masses are my favorite. The way he performs the blessed sacrament is very touching and really makes you think about the body and blood of Christ. First time I witnessed it I got goose bumps. I very much enjoy my church. May god bless.

I was hired as a photographer for a First Communion at Church St. Maurice. The families asked me to take both group and family photos and to respectfully capture key moments during the mass. Before the ceremony began, I spoke with the woman who hired me to make sure I understood where I was allowed to stand so I wouldn't cause any disruption. Despite taking every step to be respectful and discreet, the priest suddenly yelled at me--during the mass, in front of the entire congregation--demanding that I "sit." I was stunned, embarrassed, but I immediately sat down and complied without a word. I had no intention of creating a scene and only wanted to complete the work I was hired to do with dignity. But it didn't end there. Later in the mass, while I was already seated quietly in the pews, the priest pointed at me again and brought up the earlier incident--this time using me as an example in front of everyone. I was shocked. I hadn't said anything, hadn't moved, hadn't done a single thing to warrant being called out again. At that point, I was overwhelmed and left the church in tears. What hurt the most wasn't just the public humiliation. It was the bitter irony of it all. This happened in a church, on Easter Sunday, led by someone whose role is to embody Christ's teachings--compassion, humility, grace, love. But what I experienced was judgment, pride, and cruelty. Christ never shouted at those trying to serve. He welcomed them. He met people where they were, with kindness and mercy. I came with nothing but good intentions and professionalism. I left feeling shamed and broken by someone who should have been a vessel of peace. If you're searching for a church home, I sincerely hope you choose a place where Christ's teachings are lived out not just in words, but in action. Where people are treated with dignity, and love is practiced--not just preached.

They are up front about being scriptually conservative. So if you are liberal or agnostic this is not the church for you. They are very welcoming of new comers and don't emphasize a push on donations. They also don't make promises they will heal you, get you divine money or make your life great. They have a wide variety of Bible studies and different programs for children and adults. They take the Bible as the literal word of God and are upfront about not basing their position on social trends or what is popular at the time. I have decided to agree to disagree with them on some issues. So far they haven't kicked me out LOL
