However, when we asked for a paper agreement to hold the date, she said they "didn't usually do them." When we insisted that for a corporate event with lots of money on the line (our entire booth is supposed to be themed around the sloth), we needed at least SOME kind of agreement and deposit in place, she promised multiple times across two phone calls to send us something...but never did. Two different members of our team tried patiently to follow up with her for OVER THREE WEEKS via email, phone, and text message. We didn't even get the courtesy of a simple message back saying she couldn't do it, and frankly, it left us in a difficult position and created reputation risk for us with other vendors. I absolutely cannot recommend this mobile zoo if you need someone reliable for your event, and candidly, the lack of responsiveness we received is hard NOT to perceive as extremely rude. It's sad, too -- a member of our team apparently saw this zoo present at a different event and said it was good. But how would you even know they were going to show up? I see they have lots of good reviews, but they all seem to be old. I can only guess they must be missing whatever management they used to have. All around just a huge bummer.

They are slow like they are portrayed. They are nocturnal. They eat veggies and fruit. They poop once a week and only at night. Who would have know ? I didn't book this experience, but the handler was accommodating. We were able to meet Osa in her environment, but I do understand that they can take her to your home too. Definitely a great experience It's my understanding, that these animals are all rescued.

I took a class through the North East Independent School District Continuing Education Program…read more They offer a wide variety of classes on a quarterly basis. They publish a catalog that they'll mail out to you if you ask, or you can stay updated on their website. The course descriptions seem to be accurate, and the class fees include the materials like textbooks. The classes range from language classes, to accounting, to painting, knitting- they offer a wide variety of fun, practical classes. Each teacher I've had so far has been knowledgeable, qualified, clear spoken with a lesson plan and handouts. The classes are held at various locations around town, from high schools to community centers. The signage is generally good. Taking classes here is too cool for school!

I've lived in NEISD for 10 years and Have had 4 kids together go through all 12 grade levels K-12…read more All of my kids had special needs and 3 of them were gifted as well. My kids did not receive the accommodations specified in their 504 regularly, and I didn't receive timely 504 updates. My gifted kids were in GT in SAISD and in Northside ISD, but NEISD decided they could not be in the program because of one test administered on 1 day at the school headquarters. Another failure of NEISD is their lack of care for the less fortunate students and families. There is no affordable after school care or summer programs available. The schools on the wealthier neighborhoods (Stone Oak, etc) have nice new facilities and athletic fields, and the schools that are in less desirable neighborhoods have run down buildings and athletic fields. It's no wonder so many charter schools are becoming popular. It's really disgusting and the district should be ashamed to call themselves public education. It's all about money and politics, apparently.

I think the biggest issue with this college is it's enrollment and registration process and making…read moresure everything is squared away. I ended up attending this college after I had already received a bachelors degree from the university of Texas and another bachelors degree from Texas State University. I was in need of a simple occupational specialty award, and they had told me that I needed to go through the traditional enrollment process. I had to go in person on numerous occasions when my occupational skills award was supposed to be solely online. I encountered numerous issues on things that they did wrong on their end such as not updating my home college on the FASFA forms and not being able to register me telling me I needed to take a TSI when I was already a double bachelor degree major and other numerous things that I continuously had to make a very long drive up to San Antonio college just to get fixed and every single time I went up there I noticed that the people who were helping me were college students themselves who did not exactly understand the process very much at all. I'm not saying the college is a bad place to start, but it is most definitely an extremely difficult experience and it is extremely frustrating and on top of that the advisors usually don't answer you so you have to go in person either way, and attempt to figure out the ways of the classes that you need to register for on your own and gather the CRN numbers all by yourself. All around, I would highly recommend trying for Delmar College in Corpus Christi or attempting to try the Austin community college because if you did have to go in person, you would only need to go one time and they square you away pretty solid the first visit. I highly do not recommend this college though it is the college that eventually got me an occupational specialty award. It was an extremely difficult and frustrating and stressful process to even deal with this college. For anyone considering that actually reads this review, I genuinely hope you have other colleges in store for you and other backup plans. San Antonio college has been very well known to not get you registered on time and you get dropped from the courses either way. Once I had set up a payment plan I paid a couple of hundred dollars upfront and I have yet to receive that refund and it's been over two years now. I was a veteran and my college was supposed to be fully paid for, but the advisor did not enter it correctly. Something that had nothing to do on my end and completely on their end.
