One incident involved a white male coworker who, on a school bus equipped with cameras, grabbed my hand and placed it on his private area. Despite there being potential camera evidence to support the truth, I was immediately treated as the aggressor. Instead of being heard or given the benefit of the doubt, I was questioned harshly by HR and painted as a "lustful Black woman," while the men involved faced no real scrutiny. A second false accusation soon followed from another male employee, as if my character was already tarnished in their eyes. What hurt the most was the lack of fair investigation--no one took my side of the story seriously. I was left feeling humiliated, targeted, and unsupported. I share this not for pity, but to: * Bring awareness to how racial and gender biases can shape workplace investigations. * Encourage others who have been falsely accused to know they are not alone. * Call on institutions like Northside ISD to do better in protecting ALL employees and ensuring proper investigation before judgment. He went to the summer school in 2019 and frankly learned more that summer than he did in the entire year before. He feels accepted, and acknowledged, and the administrators, teachers and staff do an incredible job promoting children that learn differently. This was a life changer. After just that initial 4-hour experience, I received a call from the principal stating that the school may not be able to accommodate him. I was also told that "our curriculum is accelerated and is not for everyone," and that if I chose to keep him enrolled and he were later removed, it would go on his permanent record. As a parent of a very young child who was simply adjusting to school for the first time, this was extremely discouraging and felt very final after such a short introduction to the program. At the time, I was also enrolled in IDEA for my daughters in what was described as an "advanced program," though I later came to realize the curriculum was not actually more advanced than what is offered in other local districts. Ultimately, I chose to withdraw my son and place him in a different preschool where he was given the time and support to adjust properly. Today, he is a thriving 5th grader at BASIS, where he is truly challenged and excelling academically. I share this experience because I believe early childhood education should include patience, understanding, and support for children who are new to structured school environments--especially at age 4. While this school may work for some families, it was not the right fit for ours, and I wish my son had been given more than a single day to adjust before being judged as incompatible with the program.

Their church bulletin in and of itself is a novel (according to Mom), and everyone is very polite, respectful, and serene. The church itself is beautiful, and everyone we've heard speak felt genuine. It's an excellent "church away from church" for my parents, and they are always excited to celebrate mass with the congregation at St. Matthew's.
