Poor staffing, awful management, and a director with an even worse attitude. Stay far from here

We moved to the area when our son was 20 months old, and the first thing I noticed he was not getting sick as often at his previous daycare. Gigi is very knowledgeable about child behavior and development stages, she helped us (first time parents) to go through terrible two without stress. There was no bitting, screaming and tantrum period was short and relatively easy. They are a family oriented and adjust to your personal needs. When our second son was born, Gigi taught boys what it means to be a family, and created a strong bond between them. Since this is a mixed age group, younger kids naturally develop skills faster interacting with older peers, while older kids learning to be gentle with babies. As far as academics, they follow preschool programs and teach ABCs, numbers, shapes, working on scissors and glue...you name it. We don't speak English at home, so I can definitely tell boys developed their communication skills and academics at Gigi. In addition they teach Spanish too. Overall it was a great experience and I can't be more grateful to Gigi for her help!

There are themed days where the children dress up, a summer party and almost every holiday is celebrated. My daughter has attended since she was 14 months, this is like a second home for her. The house is kept meticulously clean, there is a play area, an eating area for lunch and rooms for the kid's nap time. Gigi has a large side yard with lots of toys for the children to play in warmer weather. I would recommend this day care service to anyone, a loving friendly environment - a home away form home.

My daughter has adored every one of her teachers (and loves playing school with us at home where she gets to be the teacher!) and the director, Dorothy, has been a pleasure to interact with. COVID was extremely challenging but she was a proactive communicator and always has the best interests of the children and staff at heart. Now that it's been safe to connect outside of school it's also been wonderful to see the kids in my daughter's class interact with each other at birthday parties - they all play so nicely with each other. It's clear they've developed meaningful friendships and are learning what it means to be a good friend to one another.

The ethos of the school is warm, communicative and supportive, both for the children AND their families. Having Pat-a-Cake as part of our "village" provides so much peace of mind. I know my son is having fun and learning in a caring, family-like environment where everyone supports and looks out for one another. When my son needed speech therapy services, all of the staff was so accommodating and supportive, making sure he was set-up with the individual attention he needed to thrive. We couldn't be happier!
