I went to this salon and got my hair lightened. The lady at the end told me the appt was 400 dollars due to them weighing the product and she said she had to use a lot. Ok...fine. So I pay and make my next appointment. I should have known not to make another appt because I have never paid that much for a color in my life! I get a reminder email through my phone exactly 48 hours prior to the appt which is exactly the amount of time you have to cancel or have to pay for 100 percent of the appt. So I emailed back and canceled the appt. Well I get a call the day of the appointment and the front desk lady states I didn't cancel my appointment. I told her I emailed them back and she states that it is a no reply email. I said on my phone it never stated that anywhere in the email and my email never bounced back. She said you would have to click the email to see that it says no reply. I said really why wouldn't it be in the body of the email? Why...because they rip people off. I sent her the screenshots of the emails to show her that I canceled and she said well if you replied to the email address those emails are sent out exactly 48 hours prior...so I didn't give exactly 48 hours notice. If you want to be ripped off then please go ahead and use them. But the tone and way the office lady spoke to me was very unprofessional and I will never set a foot in their salon again. $100 of my hard earned money for nothing! This establishment values their own time, but not their clients' time. I had an appointment, and the stylist had the front desk cancel the same day, just hours before the appointment because she wasn't feeling well. People get ill, that's understandable, and things happen. My day off had been scheduled around the appointment and I'd missed out on some other things to make it but ok. When I went to the re-scheduled appointment the following week and told the stylist what hairstyle I wanted, I was informed that she wasn't able to cut hair in that particular style and that I would have to make yet another appointment with a different stylist for the following week. Again, my morning had been scheduled around that appointment. Fast forward to the third appointment after having already had one time and gas-consuming wasted trip to the salon. I received no reminder call or text and I totally forgot the appointment. Right AFTER the missed appointment time, I received a call to inform me that my credit card had been charged for the ENTIRE amount of the haircut I'd had to make three appointments to get and never got. Clearly, they find their own time far more valuable than mine, and I will never go there again. I hope the $60 dollars they got was worth it. read more

This review is long overdue since we had our wedding on 5/29/22. What a treat getting hair and makeup done here for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day! Bronte and her team did an amazing job and we loved feeling pampered. Horrible customer service. I moved across country; didn't receive a reminder call and when I tried to call and explain I was told nothing could be done and basically too bad the manager is out sick. Going to be charged 50% because i moved. Only work with this horrible company if you want no sympathy. read more

I'll start by saying that I drive two hours (both ways!) to have my hair done by Bronté at St. Rue. A little back story: I was in a never ending cycle with hairstylists. You know the one. You sit down in their chair excited for a change. As the appointment progresses, you see things starting to go south. You're fearful of speaking up, so at the end, you nod and say "looks great!" Then you go home and study yourself in the mirror thinking "what just happened?!" and praying it grows out quickly. I thought that the above scenario was just the norm. I landed an appointment with Bronté while she was still working in Eugene simply by chance. She listened to what I was after and truly heard me. She also possesses an intuition that so few have. I left that first appointment feeling confident, which was such a refreshing change! I began hearing compliments from peers on a regular basis in the couple of weeks that followed. As a client of several years now, I refuse to see anyone else! I always joke (but like...seriously) that she could give me any style and somehow have it end up looking chic. The cutest salon EVER! Such a bright and airy space with the sweetest staff. I'm someone who always worries about finding a good stylist and when I came across Bronte's Instagram I decided to try out St. Rue. Unfortunately Bronte was all booked, but let me know I could get on a waitlist. It took less than a week to get in for an appointment which is amazing and I feel like unheard of! I let Bronte know what I was looking to do to my hair and she left it looking better than anything I had thought up! She was super sweet and very talented. Scheduled an appointment online, put in my card info for the deposit, then when i get to the salon for my appointment, i was told i'm not in their books! I had a pending charge in my bank statement from the deposit and when i asked if i would get my money back if the charge went through i was told i could only have store credit. No where on their website does it say that they only give in store credit back instead of refunding your money. i am beyond disappointed and i will never try to schedule any type of hair appointment here again. read more

I am so so SO happy with how my hair turned out after my recent appt at this darling little salon. I made an appointment on a whim and was so excited how quickly I was able to be seen! I made an appointment with Luke and was so nervous to try a brand new salon. But holy moly he exceeded all my expectations. My hair is SO thick and lonnnnng long. He gave me the haircut of my dreams! Took off so much weight and the most glorious layers and movement. It's just so good. He did it all flawlessly and was so kind. I really am just so in love with my hair right now! I really wanted to like this salon but I didn't get a chance... I went into the salon to set up a consultation. I didn't feel welcomed and the receptionist gave me paperwork to send in an email. I sent the email after and I didn't hear anything back. So I made another effort by calling. Finally I'm booked. This was scheduled well out since I was going to attend a wedding soon. Eventually the day came and not even 30 minutes before I had to be there. They call to tell me that they have to cancel since the stylist wouldn't be able to take me. They didn't have any other option except being put on a waiting list. It's now 2023 and I have never received that call. I will add if it was the other way around I would've been charged a fee. Very dissatisfied with this salon. I was recommended to Saint Rue by a coworker, scheduled ahead of time and took an entire day off to take my daughter for a haircut. My daughter is 10 years old, so I booked her for a children's cut-obviously. I scheduled for 2:30 pm and got there on time. Sydnee had my daughter sit in the chair, just to proceed and tell us she couldn't do her hair and said I chose the wrong option and not enough time was cut out for the service. She said the "children's cut" is for 6 years and under....I looked on the website and nowhere does it say children is 6 and under only. Anytime I go to an establishment as a consumer, children are always listed 12 years old and under. Not only did she handle this poorly, she didn't even offer to cut my kiddos hair as a first time client and to know for next time. She just straight up turned us away. The fact that I took the day off work, drove 50 minutes away and took my daughter out of school early, all just to be turned away. Horrible customer service and experience. And to add on top of this horrible experience, Sydnee didn't even offer to refund my deposit I put down at time of scheduling the appointment. I had to go back into the salon after we had already left and ask for the refund. Not only was she not pleasant, nor apologetic, it just all around felt unprofessional. Thankfully, I was able to find a walk in appointment in McMinnville from a friend of a friend who works at a salon out there. My daughter's cut with the other stylist downtown, only took 32 minutes, in which Sydnee told us there was no way she'd have time to do her cut in the time slot I chose for my kiddo. I do not recommend this salon to any consumer out there. read more

Love my cut and color with Laura! The salon is very clean, super cute and the owner Bronte is a doll. I love that it's an Aveda salon so I was able to pick up all my essentials. I had my first visit to St. Rue on Saturday and it was amazing. The salon is bright, airy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hand massage and warming mitts are a wonderfully relaxing touch. My stylist, Noel, that I've been with for the last couple years moved to this salon so I can only speak for her services as I have not worked with the other stylists. However, Noel is FANTASTIC! If you're in the market for a new stylist I HIGHLY recommend her. I have curly hair and she does a great job managing them. I also think her move to St. Rue was a good choice as it has given her the opportunity to work the Aveda product line. The ability to customize the colors is taking my hair color to the next level. This place had just opened up and wanted to find something local. Set up appt, took a picture of hair style I wanted. Came out looking nothing like the picture and my hair barely cut at all. She used the curling iron and tried to give me those wavy long curls the young kids wear. So disappointed and waste of money. Learned my lesson. I haven't actually had my hair done there. I called to make an appointment, I was advised there would be a 15 minute consultation before having my hair done. I said fine and I went to appointment. Going to get my hair done is a huge deal to me... my husband has dementia, I have to have caregiver stay with him, $14.00 per hour. Plus I have broken ankle and have to use walker and have big boot on. I get all of that in place, go to St Rue. I get there, I'm seated in chair, stylist looks at my hair, gives me some ideas, I say great! And then she tells me I now need to set up an appointment....I thought I was there for an appointment! Nope... she set date for following Wednesday, 6 days later...I swear I was in shock... cuz I scheduled! I was very very frustrated at that point. Thought about it over the weekend and then called and canceled! If I had known that was the process I would never have never made an appointment....that's all folks! read more
