Newberg location had the things I was looking for but not the McMinnville one. Traveling is difficult for me right now and Newberg doesn't have any buses running in town. McMinnville Oregon Walgreens pharmacy is the worst in the state. What a bunch of rude people. It's a Wednesday night and they closed at 7pm even though their voice message says 8pm and so does their online hours. I explained that and I did not get an apology. I would give ZERO stars if this was an option! I've literally been on hold for over an hour (I called exactly at 9 am when the pharmacy opened). I have been out of my prescription for 2 days and I have 4 prescriptions that need filled. the automated system says they have not been filled but they are "working on it." the message hasn't updated all week so I decided to call and talk to a live person to get them filled so they will be ready when I drive the 30 minutes to get there. I understand they may be short staffed but there is NO acceptable reason to not answer the phone, take a message (at least) and address my needs as a customer. this store should just close as they are useless as a pharmacy! I am moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The other day my wife and I stopped by the Walgreens pharmacy drive thru (McMinnville) to pick up my meds. The window gal was slow and when she finally sent us the meds thru their tube-shoot my wife pulled the basket out and all the contents fell on the ground. She had sent it upside down. My wife pushed the call button and explained to her that all the contents has fallen on the ground. She said "ok" and then giggled and said "have a nice day." She never apologized. Upon looking at our meds we noticed that the box that had our meds was very ruffled, almost crushed. We had our family in the car and were on a tight schedule so we chose to give a call back when we arrived at home later that day. My wife spoke with the pharmacist on floor at that time (Michelle), and explained what had happened and that there was no apology and that the box looked almost crushed. She asked if everything was ok with the meds. We said that it looks like it's ok, but we didn't know for sure. Now, usually when you call to complain about something that person is supposed to input this conversation into a database for reference. However, that was never done. And this is the Pharmacist. So much for due diligence. In retrospect, we should have just returned the damaged box and told them we would not accept it that way, but like I said, we had other things to attend to. Well, a few days later my wife went to use my medication and when she tried to use it, it was not working. It was definitely broken. Grrr... We drove back to the pharmacy and spoke with a very unemotional pharmacy tech (all of them seem to have worst attitude at the store) and she cut us off telling us to go to the next window and we could speak with the Pharmacist. Upon meeting with Mr. Congeniality (and I say that with the most sarcastic tone... his name is Nathan (he has a beard). Beware!), he had us wait for 20mins as he "looked into it." My wife finally went to see what the delay was and he said that he needed to review the cameras to basically make sure "WE" were not the ones who damaged the box/medication. ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?!?!?! NONE of the medication was used and we didn't notice that it was broken until we pulled it out to use it a few days later. We said that the damage was NOT on us. Now why on earth would I damage my own medication??? Unbelievable!! A few mins later he called us up to the counter and said "I disagree". He basically was calling us liars! What a POS!!! He then explained that he was the one who dispensed the meds to us that day. So I then called him the one who was the liar as he should never had dispensed a physically damaged box like that. He said "well, wasn't damaged when I dispensed it." Un-freaking-believable!!! We should have just brought it back that same day. He was heartless, showed no emotion or empathy in any way and was extremely dismissive. This ordeal was horrible for my wife and I. I have used them for years and we will NEVER go the this Walgreens again. I would highly suggest that anyone think twice before using them as your pharmacy provider. I'm still so mad as I type this. Horrible place to fill a prescription. I have used Walgreens in other locations with no issue. The McMinnville Pharmacy refuses to fill a prescription same day. They will wait until you call and go stand in line. Typically I get prescriptions same day. McMinnville the average wait without going in is 5 days. Staff is not helpful or organized. Half the time when I call in to ask if a product is in stock I receive the chirpy, default response of, "Oh yeah, definitely!" only to come in to find that it is NOT in stock. Then everyone grows obtuse about who was responsible for misleading me while mumbling their patronizing, perfunctory and rote assurances about "how sorry they are" and "what a valued customer I am". But that is par for the course when you're an American consumer nowadays. Those occasional acts of inconsideration and ineptitude are nothing compared to a recent incident on the evening of Wednesday, August 18 when I came in for my scheduled second COVID-19 vaccination, only to be rejected by the pharmacist under orders of her manager. According to the pharmacist, I was being rejected and banned from receiving my second dose because I reported experiencing mild symptoms when I received the first dose. These symptoms were nothing extraordinary according to medical reports (mild facial and neck swelling), yet she arrogated the role of physician when she decided not to administer the second dose. As an added insult to the wasting of my time with her clinical overreach, she then promised to contact me twice (Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20) after speaking with her manager regarding this matter. She never followed through with her promises. When I confronted her about this over the phone on the afternoon of Thursday August 19, she placated me with a lame excuse. These people simply do not care and are incompetent. The staff at Walgreens are mediocrities who exert the bare minimum of effort to keep from being harassed by management and to cruise along on auto-pilot until their next paycheque comes. In most cases, this is just an annoyance . . . . but when it comes to my health it looms as a serious potential issue. read more

This pharmacy will not fill necessary prescriptions timely. They don't answer the phone. The drive thru lines are long and they just don't care. My 92 year old relative cannot get his meds for a respiratory illness from these jerks. Called in by Dr on Sat am, went to pick up Sat night. 40 min wait in drive thru. No meds, said they won't be ready until Sunday. Called. Pharmacy tech said not ready and put us on hold for a chat with pharmacist to discuss status. We got hung up on after a 31 minute hold and a customer service survey. Called back, can't get anyone on the phone to even transfer the meds to another pharmacy who is willing to get the meds for a sick 92 year old gentleman. What is wrong with Walgreens? Walgreen's taking over by Bi Mary's prescriptions has made the traffic on the highway a nightmare. Traffic blocks the lane on the highway, people cannot get in and out of the driveway it is an absolute cluster. Fix it you will loose tons of customers. While laying at home dying from Covid with a fever of 103 my husband went to Walgreens for me to pick up my prescribed medication and a nebulizer. They gave him the medicine but said they cannot give him the nebulizer because the prescription did not specify it. Which it actually did since it was the second pharmacy as Albertsons was out of the medicine. Not only this it's technically legal in Oregon for the pharmacist to describe approved medicines and devices so they could have given me the nebulizer had they wanted to. Thank God I had a friend that had one that made an hour drive to bring me this! They told my husband since it he could come back the next day and try again and he said what if she's dead by then? She cannot breathe!. We felt it was completely crappy customer service. They did not even try:( It's a conspiracy and the biggest load of BS ever !!! read more

Literally the worst pharmacy experience of my life! On 5/28/22 I called to have my 2 very important meds transferred to the McMinnville location, I made it very clear I needed them tonight I was told"no problem, come in at 5:30 pm." I wait at the drive through window for 20 mins, to then be told " They're not ready, and I highly doubt, in the 7 mins before we close, that we can fill your meds" I said I was told it would be ready and I have to have them tonight" So I go in to wait in line, where I overhear her, (the large blonde technician), making fun of me to the pharmacist. She didn't know that I came into the store. She was lying and saying that I had yelled at her. Somehow they were able to fill my prescription in 7 mins, but only because I was standing there. That ridiculously rude girl should be working at Walmart or Dollar Store, she has no business working anywhere near healthcare, or really humans in general, she doesn't care about anyones health or wellbeing. The longest wait over 1 and 1/2 hours in the drive through fallowed by the worst customer service I have ever had. We will not fill this RX because we don't have it and have a waiting list for it when it comes in. We will not fill this RX because we can't read how many you are suposto receive, and we will not fill this insurance won't cover it. Did not offer to let me pay for it. Went to pickup my prescription today after waiting about 5 days to pick it up. Drive up line had 15 cars in line. Went inside and a sign at the pharmacy window said only servicing drive up line today. By the time I would have made it to the front of the line the workers would have been gone to lunch. Consistently Walgreens pharmacy has been giving very poor to no service. This seem to be very common, it's not the exception. I am looking for a pharmacy that I will be able to depend on. This is your typical drug store chain. But I do like that the staff is always so friendly and helpful, from both the cashiers to the pharmacy staff I have never had a bad experience the dozens of times I have been here... I love to stop in and check out their "last chance" clearance items...you can score some great deals this way and stock up on useful items that sometimes are pricey like vitamins and OTC medications. I needed to talk the pharmacist today. Called twice. This afternoon early it said there were 2 calls ahead of me, so I hung up after 30+ minutes and called again tonight before 8. The pharmacy is supposed to be open until 9; or at least that is what the phone message saId. I waited for over a half an hour. They said there was one call before me, then it just said they were answering other callers. I finally hung up and called the store. I asked for the manager and she told me the pharmacy closed at 8 because there was nobody to close it at 9. I was so ticked off! I told her they need to say that in a message when someone calls when they expect the pharmacy to be open. I wasted at least 1 1/2 hours of my day waiting to talk to a pharmacist that was not there! The other complaint I have is the auto fill. It works one month, then not again unless you re-do it. What's the point? Seriously. This pharmacy is the one I went to when I left Safeway. Standing in line there for 20 minutes every time I went. No place to sit and wait if you are old, or in pain. I'm just totally frustrated, but I WILL go see the pharmacist tomorrow and ask him the question that I really needed answered, and ask about today. read more
