Heartfelt community, but some transparency gaps!…read more I visited Holy Family four times and loved seeing the joyful, engaged students and the peaceful atmosphere of Sunday Mass. There's a lot of heart here, but as a single mom, I want to share a few tips for other parents considering this school: * Ratios vs. Reality: While online stats say 13:1, that's not true. TK class of 20 and class of 35 beginning in 1st grade. There is an aide and teacher per grade level. It's a significant jump from the "official" numbers listed on niche and other sites describing this school with small classroom sizes. * The Assessment: My 3-year-old was interviewed alone in a small room; a tough separation if you aren't expecting it. * Transparency: Between a 3-hour Sunday commitment (Mass plus tour), 2 hr weekday school tour, a weekday interview on a different date than the tour, and the $125 fee, I wish there was more clarity on actual spot availability upfront instead of "we encourage you to apply right away." Ultimately, my child wasn't accepted which was a blessing in disguise (we found a welcoming Catholic school to start his TK adventure in the fall). The rejection letter cited "fit," and while it encouraged us to resubmit next year, I didn't consider this a viable option. It felt a bit dismissive to ask a family to repeat such a time-intensive, costly process without any feedback on what "fit" actually meant or what would change next time. I'm sharing this so other families can ask the right questions before diving in. Wishing the HFCS community all the best!

The Best Bingo Experience in Town--With a Heart!…read more I absolutely love coming here for Bingo! They offer the cheapest buy-ins with the most generous payouts I've seen. The layout is perfect--never congested, with a comfortable "two people per table" setup. The customer service is top-notch, and the volunteers are incredibly courteous. Support a Good Cause One of the best parts about playing here is knowing that all proceeds go toward a great cause. It's a win-win: you get to have an amazing time with the chance to take home some cash, all while supporting meaningful work in our community. The Management A huge shout-out to Paul, who manages the event. He is truly the best! Unlike other places, Paul focuses on the players' happiness rather than just the bottom line. He's professional, approachable, and always listens to feedback with a positive attitude. The Schedule: * Tuesdays: Starts at 6:30 PM. * Monthly Special: "Strip Night" (typically a Thursday) with massive payouts. Prizes & Safety They are incredibly generous with giveaways, including cash raffles, pull tabs, and a $1,000 "Must-Go" cover-all card. Plus, you can play with peace of mind--the parking lot is secured with guards, so you always feel safe. I highly recommend this place for a fun, stress-free night out that gives back!

Our children have absolutely blossomed during their time here, not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. What stands out most are the teachers. They are warm, attentive, and truly invested in each child's growth. It's clear they know and care about the children as individuals, and that level of dedication has made such a difference for our boys. I cannot speak more highly of them! Another thing we love is the sense of community. We've formed meaningful friendships with other families and have felt welcomed and supported from the beginning. It feels like a place where both children and parents can connect and belong. I really do not understand the negative yelp reviews, it's important for parents to do their own research and ask questions. Our experience has been that the school takes children's well-being seriously and is thoughtful in balancing safety with opportunities for exploration, independence, and outdoor learning. We have always felt comfortable entrusting our children to their care. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community. Watching our boys grow at this little school has been one of the greatest gifts.

Currently my younger one is attending. This is truly a gem in SVG. Good teachers, good balance of academics and enrichment, freshly cooked lunch daily, Chinese class included, very clean facility, Brightwheel app for updates and pictures, most importantly the tuition rate is very reasonable! It's a small preschool which I prefer for small group learnings and less sick time. My kid loves going to school every day and he loves all the teachers there.

The character limit of Yelp is what limits the good things I can say about this school. When I went…read moreto check out the school with my very shy daughter, on the very first moment, Ms. Janice was able to overcome her shyness and got her to start immediately playing with the children in the playground, and then fall in line to use the restroom and attend class. It's a Christian school, and you can feel it in the air. It feels warm, kind, loving, the kids are happy, laughing, having fun, engaged, interacting with each other and the teacher. Everything about this school is amazing, staff, spirit, layout, decoration, loadout. The director is very considerate, the playground is well shaded, to prevent kids from burning themselves in the sun, the ground is a form of rubber mulch, I think. There's plenty of little kitchen houses, a slide, and a couple of titter-totters. The dense playground also allows a single staff member to effectively watch ALL the kids, and I saw it happen, Ms. Nancy called out 3 kids, within moments of each other, the layout, combined with Ms. Nancy's eagle eyes was definitely impressive. Ms. Anna, saw that my daughter was having trouble communicating, and switched between 3 different languages to engage her. The class room is loaded with toys, and while they teach, they aren't harsh on the kids, each teacher I saw, had a very gentle touch, and the kids effectively can choose what they do, and how they learn. They also had cots for the kids, so kids can nap with a pillow and blankets lying down, instead of sitting up on a study list, or on a table. The pillows, blankets, and bedsheets are returned to parents Friday, so they may wash it over the weekend and bring it in Monday. Also, of all the schools, this school was the most proactive and concerned about health, to this day, the children are still required to wear masks. The minute they walk into the building, their temperature is checked, and their shoes are sanitized, then, the children have to wash their hands. They plan make masks optional in July, but, for them to have had those policies for this long is a good thing. Personally, given how often and quickly viruses spread in school, I'm not opposed to this policy being permanent, but, to a certain degree, I understand. This school is perfectly aligned with my focus of child-rearing for my child at her age, which is a combination of fun, socialization, curiosity, basic education, health, safety. I couldn't ask for anything more. My child goes into school happy, comes home happy, and that makes me VERY happy. I toured this school first, and this school has set a bar that no other school can meet. Every other school had soulless, sad, dejected kids, studying for college at the age of 5, but this school, laughs, smiles, little monkeys running around, doing their thing, not a care in the world, screaming along as teachers ask them to recite their ABCs. I'm a single dad, I don't really know much about girl stuff, I do the best I can binding my daughter's hair so it's not in her face, and I send it off. Ms Janice would re-do her hair, with all sorts of accessories I didn't even provide, and she'd come home like a princess. She went in depressed because my ex thought it was a great idea to butcher her hair with a bad haircut during a visit, and Ms. Janice's re-styling of her hair erased the pain my ex caused her. Also, my daughter keeps showing up with snacks and toys on a weekly basis. Like... WOW? I wished I had that growing up, I don't think any other school would do this, and I cannot imagine this place turning a profit. Also, other parents tell me that this school's meals has spoiled their children for public school. They whine about how the new school's food isn't as good. At this point, you're like... "For real?", yeah, for real. One of the best decisions I've ever made. This school was a blessing, and I hope it stays around for a long time, so more people may benefit from it.
