I'm still in awe about this school, if you're looking for a Christian school we're you want your kids to grow in the Lord then this is the school for you. I was blessed to meet with the Pastor of the School who explain everything so well from the foundation to the education fundamentals of God. The staff is beyond helpful patient and loving. This school is so affordable I looked into other schools and this was the for most best and affordable. My 13 year old daughter recently graduated from MCS. She has not only thrived academically but, has grown in her faith for our Lord Jesus Christ. She was salutatorian for her 8th grade graduating class. I could not have been more proud of her on that day. Her speech was so impactful as she delivered it with such poise and grace. She was absolutely glowing with happiness, love for her school, teachers, staff, admin, pastor, and fellow classmates. This school became her family by the nurturing environment that surrounded her since kindergarten. My 7 year old daughter is now entering 2nd grade. Today was her 1st day of school. It is amazing to see how this school has evolved; campus renovations, newly painted campus, new asphalt, advancements in technology, and so much more. MCS is a great community school. Most of the parents of the same grade know each other and there is open communication with our principal. We have a great pastor and there are numerous celebrations that we enjoy throughout the year. The best thing is the original Christmas plays that are put on every year. This is our second year at Montebello Christian School and I started with 2 kids last year and this year I added my last baby. He started Kinder, so now I have 3 attending this school. I couldn't be more happy and thankful to our Lord for the education they are receiving and for the staff that is so wonderful. I whole heartedly recommend this school for anyone who wants God to be the center of their children's education. Intolerant Christian School! My daughter left this school last year because MCS is a close minded, intolerant school when it comes to LGBT! The changes that they have implemented since Covid are ridiculous and very narrow minded! The new pastor only supports traditional marriage! TRADITIONAL! This is so un-christian and un-loving! MCS wake up! You are still living in the stone age with your bible only mindset! And I mean bible only! If you want your children to be a bible nerd, then send them to this school.They are not even ashamed of this. I feel bad for the children that are still there. They will never be able to adapt to the evolving world around them. The renewed and improved facilities of your school and you low tuition will not change the fact that your school administration's view of the world is still old. Your bible based curriculum will never work. The old administration was way better. They did not force children into believing only Jesus. I would rather send my kids to a dilapidated school and learn how to be an open minded, love affirming, all accepting, and tolerant person! The school was once great, though it looked very old, atleast the children did not have to listen to the daily shoving of Jesus this, Jesus that,pray always, Jesus only, bible only crap down into their pure minds. No wonder the old teachers are gone! They could not stand this bible based curriculum and bible based way of running a school. 5 stars to the only remaining outspoken LGBT supporter working for this school! My daughter is a 7th grader going into 8th grade. She loves this school. My husband and I especially love this school because it is a small school, the teachers are able to really know the children and when and if they struggle in an area of academics it is addressed and worked on... We especially favor this school for they have taught our children how to include their Faith in their daily decisions... Keeps our Children humble and close to God. The kindergarten teacher is OUTSTANDING!! She truly whole heartily cares for the children, She's so patience and loving with attentively answering all the children's questions, you can tell this teacher CARES!!!! She doesn't just work at a "Christian school" she believes and instills the Christian values of prayer, kindness and love. I brought my kindergarten baby here just because of The kinder teacher!! The kindergarten Aide is top notch as well!!! You can see the unity in the aide and the teacher, what more can you ask for? MCS is a rare gem. The teachers are amazing and get to know each and every one of their students. They go above and beyond for every student and make sure they succeed. This is truly a little school with a big heart . I went to school there and both of my kids attended there . This school is more like a family. They volunteer their time for events and always look out for their kids. Wish there were more schools like this. My son is going to 2nd grade in September. We all love this school. The teachers are really full of love and patience, they really show the love of Christ in their teaching. Since they have smaller classes, the teachers get to know each student very well and able to help each one of them according to their different learning levels. If students are falling behind, they have measures to help them to catch up; if the students are advancing faster than their class, they have advanced studies for those students, so they are all taken care of and still able to advance in their own rate. We also particularly like the school incorporating faith in their teaching and also take the time to deal with students' behavioral problems. Bringing up a child is not just academically, but they also need to learn how to be a better person, think logically and morally, so when they grow up, they will have the correct discernment of right and wrong, hence helping them to make the right decisions in life. In this age, we can see so many illogical thinking going on around us, right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right. To help the country, to help our kids, we really need to change this around by teaching our kids the "right" thing. Montebello Christian School can do this by holding onto their faith in Christ and in turn nurturing our kids with the right nutrients. As a private school, their tuition is really low. When My family told me about MCS, I knew here he would get a solid foundation in his spiritual walk and academics.
