I'm all about visiting the Habitat ReStore stores lately. I feel like I found a secret that's been…read morehidden in plain sight. This is a thrift store with curated items and has some of the best vintage goods you'll find at some of the best prices. I went to the Zionsville location looking for dinner plates and side tables. I was very close to pulling the trigger on some vintage ceramic plates, but decided to keep looking at the last minute. The friendly woman behind the counter said that the merchandise changes very frequently, so I should check back soon. This store has lots of home goods, including frames, flatware, furniture, decorations, mirrors, rugs and light fixtures. There is also a small supply of raw items like kitchen sinks, doors, cabinets and other materials. The prices are very good, but just a tick higher than some of the other Habitat ReStores that I've visited in the Indy area. Still, I'll be back soon to see what new goodies have come in!

She continue to badger me grab the vacuum bags out of my hand and then grab the cart out of my hand and told me to get out I said I'll would like to make a donation to the homeless because she kept mentioning how the money goes to the homeless. I never felt so belittled in my life. I googled it but I'm not sure if it's right but it says it's battery if someone grabs something out of your hand so if that's true she shouldn't have grab the bags and the cart. As far as the homeless go if it wasn't a man I would have invited him into my house on them very extreme cold days we had but I'm a single woman that lives by myself. We came here on a sleepy Saturday afternoon and hit the jackpot because they were having a sidewalk sale with very nice prices. I walked away with Talbots, Athleta, Rock and Republic, Free People on clearance and splurged on a Lululemon sweatshirt for full price (still under $40 so no complaints there). Not only are the prices great but this store will make any organized persons heart sing! Amazing organization and flow of the store, kudos Toggery! I will be making another trip here next time in the Broadripple area.

At first, I was a little disappointed in The Toggery because it seemed like the clothes were just a half step up from a regular Goodwill, but then I found the jeans, and now I'm not so sure. I think it all depends on when you shop, and what you're looking for. If you're looking for unusual vintage gems, you probably won't find that here. If you're looking for regional-trendy clothing ... you will probably find that here. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the racks seemed a little picked-through, but I think that's because this place is popular and so the racks probably were indeed picked through. They buy clothing during the weekdays, so if you want to find the good stuff, you should probably visit during the week, I'm thinking. The clothing is arranged very nicely, and everything is super organized and clean. They have dressing rooms available that you can just walk into (you don't have to flag down someone!), and they also have sale items that are pretty good. Like most consignment shops, they don't accept returns or exchanges, so make sure you're happy with your items before you purchase!

The thrift store is opened to the public and sells mostly clothes (women's, men's and children's ) and shoes, with also a bit of vintage jewelry and women's accessories. I like rummaging through thrift stores and looking for unique vintage items. The volunteer staff is super friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are available to try on clothing. The small shop is well organized. Prices are very reasonable and proceeds benefit the food pantry. Jewelry was marked half price during my visit. I found a stunning artisan necklace, which I regret not buying. The shop is located behind the church and there is plenty of parking. The shop maintains the same hours as the adjacent food pantry, so the hours vary.

I was fortunate to be able to catch the soft opening of Second Treasures, a thrift store opening up…read moreon a part-time schedule as part of Second Presbyterian Church's missions program. Second Treasures will be open about 10 hours a week with a particularly focus on supporting the needs of its Washington Township neighbors. It's patterned after the church's popular Bazaar and Clothing Sale and will support the work of the church's Women's Ministry. A good majority of the items are donated by church members and will be staffed by volunteers from the church. It's located at the North end of Second's Mission Suite (outside the Northside Food Pantry). The thrift store is opening to the public on Tuesday, April 23rd, and will be open on Tuesdays (12-3pm), Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm), and Saturdays (9:30am-12:30pm). I was pleased with the items available and the prices at which they were marked. Clothing, of course, is quite popular here and there are items for men, women, children, etc. While you won't mistake this non-profit, church-based thrift store for one of the behemoths in terms of selection, this is a really cool idea for a great cause. Today's soft opening/open house was a great chance to get a feel for everything to be offered and how it all will work. Cash and credit cards are accepted. In terms of accessibility, there's plenty of accessible parking and doorways are pretty decent. This is on the first floor and accessibility should not be an issue. 5-stars might be a tad generous given the simplicity of the project, however, I'm always a fan of true non-profit, mission-based efforts and I'm anxious to see this one grow and truly support the Washington Township area.

Items are organized but nevertheless it took a bit of time to locate what we needed. Asset Recycling houses over 30,000 square feet of new and ready-to-use resources. My son has been here often so he's becoming familiar with certain areas and found what he wanted. I, on the other hand, was overwhelmed. Asset Recycling is a division of Youth Fair Chance, Inc., and in operation since April of 2003. They are a non-proft organization who works to divert usable building materials from landfills while offering donors all allowable tax incentives for their contributions. The charity's focus is to provide today's youth with a fair chance for a safer and more environmentally friendly future by eliminating usable building materials from landfills.  It provides neighborhoods and individuals, especially the ill, needy, and youth, new and affordable building materials for home projects. While the Asset Recycling warehouse primarily contains windows, doors, paint, plumbing supplies, flooring, and lighting, you can also count on finding interesting deals, arts and crafts items, holiday and party supplies, home decorating items, fabrics, and more. Asset Recycling is open to the public with a focus on serving those most in need of assistance with safe and affordable housing.  Inventory changes often, so frequent visits are encouraged. Asset Recycling is located on Holt Road with entrance and parking in the very back of the building. Stop in when you're in search of building supplies and have some time.

I'm no lawyer, but I believe that falls under false advertising! Honestly, the price isn't even the problem here. The issue is this poor management! I'd pay triple for an item I wanted if it was originally priced as such. But to change sticker prices mid-transaction because you think you can get more out of it is bad salesmanship! A clerk welcomed me when I walked in and explained the items and prices. Items change seasonally. The clerk told me that most of the clothes are under three years old. Prices were reasonable and there as even a clearance room of marked down items. The store is well organized and super neat. The changing rooms rival those of an upscale department store. The parking lot is shared with the other stores in the strip mall. There is plenty of parking with accessible spaces available. Worth a visit if you are looking for a bargain or want to consign some clothes.
