I have an online thrift store. I spend a lot of money at thrift stores for my inventory. While shopping today, Wednesday 8-30-2023, I wanted to look at some dollhouse furniture. At the same time, a volunteer wanted to get into that very small corner. No excuse me, just a loud sigh & dirty look!! The ladies checking out were so busy gossiping about another volunteer that they could not say hello or thank you or even acknowledge I was there!! Great display of your Christian values!! I've removed this story from my list when I'm in the Appleton area.

Then I go to checkout only to be told the pot and lid set seemed priced too low and they were going to have to charge me 4 times the marked price. I explained it had damage which is why it was clearly marked at a discount but the cashier was not interested in doing a price check and I stated the other pans in the set were the same price and was given no response I then said I didn't want it and proceeded to pay for my other item only to be almost charged for the pot which was by then no where by my pile. As soon as I paid the cashier left and turned their bag without offering a bag or receipt. This caused me to have to call out to then for a bag and receipt. They turned around clearly annoyed and on their phone and went to the other register for a bag. I was made to feel that I was doing something wrong for simply trying to shop and questioning why I would be charged more than an item is priced. I have had unpleasant experiences the last few times I've tried to stop and unfortunately do not plan on shopping here anytime in the near future.

I think I paid $4 or less at another thrift store. I've seen the same item several times for around $10 at the antique malls. The Echoes tag says this item goes for up to $35 online. This isn't even true. I checked the recent eBay sold listings and it's actually selling for around $6-$8. This store also attempted to sell two fully decorated Christmas trees with storage containers for $300 each. Do you go to a small Christian thrift store looking to spend $300? I don't. The tree has sat there since November. It's now the "bargain price" of $100, four days before Christmas. Most people are not looking to buy a decorated tree this close to Christmas. Had it been priced at $100 - instead of $300 - back in November then maybe it would have sold!?

As a first time shopper, I asked about the return policy and was told it could be returned for in-store credit. The sleeves proved too short, so I tried to return the purchase today. Initially the cashier said there was a 10 day return policy on clothing and refused the return. I explained the information I had been given, but since it was seasonal, she would only make an exception to exchange it for the same clothing item. She referred me to the back of the price tag, which does explain the policy; but what I was verbally told was different. Well, a larger size doesn't have longer sleeves, but since I had no alternative, I made an exchange. I said that as a first time shopper, it didn't give me a good impression of the store. Nothing more was said. (BTW, the item is now on sale for 20% off vs my 10% discount. Bottom line, I thought this might become a store I would shop frequently, but now I will not return. I try to shop local, but with policies like this, it's no wonder larger stores are winning the retail race.

I like this store because it's very clean on the inside and people are very helpful. I had to take my cousin here who's up there in years and is disabled . There is plenty of parking in the front of the whole store for disabled people. Also, there's an area where I can drop off goods. Please don't put them in a landfill. If you have something you don't need consider going here if you live close by. Don't stick it in your garage taking up room when you can give it to somebody that could really really use it. The store is arranged according me again, very clean on the inside employees very hopeful while I was there for about 45 minutes. A lot of people came in the store or we're leaving the store. I was on a mission to find some frames because I do a lot of artwork, and I was very pleased with what I found the items I got were priced accordingly my cousin also was able to find what she was looking for for a very small amount of money.
