He worked to identify the specific issue and worked with my warranty coverage to find a reasonable priced solution. He also let me know about the maintenance program they offer (very reasonably priced). He quickly and confidently identified both issues and he parts are ordered. I'm excited to get everything up and running again! Ill Include pictures with my review. Builds trust I think. So Stack is a Elite level Weil McClain dealer I found them on the Weil Mcclain Website. They are the only one with that level certification within 100 Miles. That caught my interest when I looked for a new company to service my boiler. The previous company was charging me for doing repairs that come to find out. I dont think they were doing at all. The previous company said my boiler was under recall and needed to be replaced. (That was not true after I called Weil Mcclain.) Anyhow Christopher came out. Installed bypass valves on my boiler system which I wanted to make servicing the boiler easier. No need to drain the whole house and then run around bleeding boilers for another hour when you fill it. The valves they used were very high quality 1/4 turn knife blade ones. They will last a lot longer than I will probably. So that problem fixed. Then I needed a maintenance kit and cleaning. The prices were up front too. During the cleaning my front door broke. So He had to go get the part. Christopher knew who to call and who had it in stock. An hour later he was back. Part installed. This time I payed close attention Christopher. He answered many questions I had about my boiler. How does this work? what is this loop for? What are your thoughts on Heat Pumps? The guy is awesome. I also asked if I need to have HIM come out every time. He said "not really" We talked about Stack and how they have what I would call a "Training university" in a separate building where the technicans are trained before they are sent out with seasoned installers. So Stack takes care of their people and gets them proper training. Anyhow during the cleaning of the boiler heat exchanger Christopher did a really thourough job. Made sure that the whole heat exchanger fins were cleaned. Every single one of them. He also described (because I asked) everything he was doing. We talked about things to watch for. He told me how to PROPERLY bleed a radiator system. Someone previously told me the EXACT opposite way. So I basically got a brand new boiler serviced by a weil mcclain Elite level retailer so we are about 2 months until the boiler will need to be turned on but you know what I wont be worried about my boiler this season. Even if I do have a problem I know who to call. I had a really enjoyable experience and much better than the other two companies I was using previously. I had Stack come out to install two ceiling fans and three light fixtures. It was brought to my attention that the fixture for the bathroom was not going to work for me as one of the bulbs would be facing a wall and not spread any light. I decided to just buy one like the previous one I had. One of the two techs had someone from stack pick one up at the store for me right then and deliver it so that I wouldn't have to wait for them to come back another time. They didn't charge me for their inconvenience only for the track light. Both techs were personable, professional and did a great job in a timely manner. I highly recommend them! read more

My refrigerant was low so they checked for refrigerant leak before refilling the system, they could not find any leak. They filled the system with refrigerant and recommended the use of leak seal to help and I agreed on that! But they sent the technician two weeks later to leak seal my system, it was too late because by that time the refrigerant was low again! I got scammed for total of 1,067.5$ read more

Our A/C seemed like it was not cooling fast at all. So we called Stack, who we have used for annual furnace checks, etc. A young tech came out the same day, and found nothing "way wrong" or broken, and the following day, we were visited by Ryan Tansey, an experienced and knowledgeable repair man. Ryan looked around thoroughly, and let us know that our unit was maybe halfway through it's life, and that we needed to turn the A/C temp down earlier, rather than at 9 or 10 pm as we had been doing. What we did NOT need was a new A/C unit, or compressor. Had he said we did, I would have believed him! HVAC people are notorious for selling high cost items you do not need, but not Stack, and not Mr. Tansey! FIVE stars only because I couldn't give SIX! read more

If I had a do over would not use them. Put air and furnace ductwork back together backwards, drained Freon right beside swimming pool. Also when they came to do furnace check up clean the technician didn't put the filter in all sloppy...wondered why house was so dusty. Should have listened to my neighbors not to use. read more

Honest and knowledgeable! We asked Stack for a quote for a heating system because another company had been trying to fix our gas furnace for 2 weeks without success. The other place told us we needed a new circuit board and possibly a gas valve ($1200 in parts) or to go ahead and get a new furnace because ours could be aging out. Jeremy came to provide the quote but instead fixed the existing furnace in about 30 minutes by cleaning with steel wool and giving it some well-placed taps. The other company had spent hours on it the prior week without success, and several techs were involved. We tried to pay Stack a service charge but they wouldn't accept it. Kevin was professional, friendly and did a great job on cleaning up our boiler that we found out is probably from 1928!!!!! He replaced the thermocouple and explained our system. We're signed on to have them be in charge of our system. Our home was built in 1900. We've been here 5 years and we haven't had any issues. He said it definitely hadn't been cleaned and looked over long before we moved in. The cost was reasonable, especially for such excellent service. They call to remind you the night before. Only issue is that I was originally told $80 to show up by Abby, it's actually $95. I asked the woman who called the night before to please remind Kevin to text us he was coming. She didn't. If you want a professional, call Stack. They were recommended to me by another boiler repair person who was booked, and I needed help asap. Stack answered the phone at 7am, took my information, put me on hold and then gave me the name of the technician who would be out in the afternoon, Mark Kunze. He came on time, listened to my history and information, assessed the problem and fixed it. Sounds easy, right? Not really. I've had FOUR other boiler guys look at it over the last year for the same issue (won't keep temperature consistently - new thermostat and wiring and boiler). But Mark figured out that a small pigtail pipe was clogged, cleaned it, and checked all the systems. He really fixed it! It was a reasonable price, $80/hr first hour and $40/hr after that. Less than 2hr of work AND he educated me about the return pipe and some suggestions to keep it returning at the right pitch. He was awesome. Terrible service technicians. Our A.C. failed this summer. We needed a new board, waited a weekend for proper board. Replaced onMonday. Everything was fine until heating season when the igniter failed. Thought it was age but when the second one failed, we new it must be something else. Called them back, the board was a120 volt, our igniter was an80 volt, of course it failed. After a conversation with consumer service , they sent us a $50 check. Now, the humidity level in our house is 4%, drier than a desert. Guess what we found, the humidifier is not hooked up to the board. This will be the third call after a terrible installation, four repairs, one by us. read more
