They left us paying $1300 in fines and penalties! They did not offer to help pay any of it, even though 100% of the mistakes were their fault. I had two of my companies were with that horrible service here in Bend. I was spending up to over 40 hours just trying to reconcile my payrolls. So it was time for Dr. Google. I had had enough! Look up: Payroll services: Within one hour of calling Precisely Payroll, they were loading my information in so they could move onto doing my very next payroll! It has been a long time since any company lately has impressed me! But Precisely is unbelievable! They had my company loaded up and did the first payroll immediately, correctly and on time and Error Free. They even let me know if I exempted the owner, I would not have to pay SUI tax anymore on his wages. An annual $1300 savings! The team hand cleaned every surface, including washing woodwork including base moldings, cabinets and doors, dusted-polished furniture, cleaned everything in bathrooms and kitchen, washed hardwood and limestone floors, vacuumed carpets and upholstered furniture, cleaned lamps and shades...and the list goes on. In addition to the great work, the person who came to do the estimate, Megan, was on time, professional in her walkthrough and evaluation and provided a range of time and cost depending on what was discovered as they cleaned. They were also on time on day of cleaning and completed the work in range of the estimate. And they were great at answering questions in between the time we hired them and the couple of weeks later when the work was scheduled to be done. The house was furnished but vacant when Cleaning by Knight's team did their work, we arranged with the person who recommended them (we'll come back to that) to us to let them in since we were not going to be able to be there. A couple of weeks later when we were back in the house the only way one would know they had been there is that everything was "spit n polish" clean because even the books and accessories on shelves and tabletops had been put back almost exactly in place. How many cleaning services do that? From my experience, not many. They had their work cut out for them too because for two years prior to my dad's death he had been cared for at home full time by caregivers before becoming completely disabled by Alzheimer's and there was significant wear and tear on the home. And my mom had been seriously ill for a couple of years before that and the house had not had a deep clean in a long time. But it was the home my parents had built 30+ years ago and which my mom loved so much and the furnishings and items in it reflected that love and her so we wanted the work to be done carefully. It was. Now coming back to the source of the recommendation, as I said would do at the opening. I often rely on Yelp to help me select service people. This time, given only one other and1 star review, I'm glad I didn't do that for Cleaning by Knight. Because the man who referred them to us is a service person who worked both for my parents and for us in our almost 20 years in Bend and his work is top notch. On the theory that people who do excellent work know others who do excellent work, we asked him for a cleaning specialist for the kind of deep and careful clean we wanted done. He recommended Cleaning by Knight and we are so glad he did. If we still lived in Bend, we moved away about ten years ago, I would hire Cleaning by Knight for twice monthly cleaning at our house.

Popped in to this neat little store in the Old Mill distract for the first time yesterday, after…read moredriving by it for weeks and saying "we need to check that out. " Although this business has been in Bend for many years, offering plant-scaping design and maintenance services to businesses and homes (in the latter normally as referred by interior designers) I think this is their first retail location. I'm looking for a specific house plant, uncommon one I guess, since the one we had for years and loved finally met a sad demise a while back., and thought they might have a resource for it. The good news is they did know of this plant and have one. Tthe bad news is the one they had was out on loan. And they agreed with me that this charming tabletop plant...mistletoe fig...is tough to find, even for someone in the plant business But in the meantime, had a chance to check out the interesting plants and containers in the industrial storefront space. And to meet the very nice owners of this family business (mother and son). Not to mention their two very cool dogs who are "greeters". They had a good number of very large, very tall plants that are tough to find in most retail places in Central Oregon so if you're in the market for something like that (we weren't) this would definitely be a resource to check out. And since they do plant installs and maintenance, a good resource for local businesses who don't want to bother with that kind of work themselves. . This was a good AOK introductory visit. I'll go back to keep an eye on new arrivals. Given great houseplants tough to find in this little town, the Evergreen Plantscapes store is a welcome addition and I wanted to post a "heads up" to others via a Yelp review to check it out. The Yelp page address shows a PO Box, but you'll find the retail showroom in Bend at 706 SW Industrial Way, Suite 100. I had an unusual request: drive me to the hospital for an appointment, wait for me to complete the appointment, then drive me back home and stay with me for about 30 minutes to be sure that I was OK. The driver was a very friendly and competent person who took good care of me. She understood the instructions and did everything I asked. When we got home, it was boring to just watch me so on her own initiative she went into my garage and broke down all of the extra boxes. When she was done, she put them neatly in the recycle bin. That was a great help to me. If you find yourself without a driver and a person to provide personal services, FreedUP can help you for a reasonable price.
