Took my gf and I about 15-20 minutes just to get to the counter, with only 4 people in front of us. Once we got to the counter, it seemed like the attendant just woke up or didn't seem like she didn't want to work this morning. My gf got gummy bears, and bottled drink, and I got chicken tenders, a fountain drink, and a large popcorn, for my gf and I to share. For the attendant to take 5-10 minutes, just to get a cup for my fountain drink, and a large popcorn, and ring/checkout, is way too long. Once, my gf and I got into the theater, we both liked that each row is separated by a wall. That prevents kids or anyone else, from kicking the back of your chair during the movie. The seats are nice, leather, and they have a tray that swings in front of you or out of the way, all depending on your needs or preferences, which we like as well, so there is not placing any of your drinks or food on the floor or on the seat next to you, if there is no one sitting next to you. Later on, mid movie, my gf figured out that the chairs recline !!! After she adjusted her chair, she adjusted mine, and I was like WOW !!! much more comfortable, LOL.

Offering wide leather reclining chairs with no issues, it's a cool theater (as far as I've experienced). Bathrooms are kept clean as well from what I've seen, and the Staff are pleasant (those I've encountered). Located in a shopping plaza, there's, of course, plenty of parking available. This location (for my friends and I) is often our go-to because it's less crowded and we stand to get more times to choose from. This theater knows its audience. They regularly feature Spanish-language films, anime, and more alternative or niche flicks you don't always see at big chains. It's a small but meaningful sign that they're paying attention to the community they serve, and I respect that. Inside, it's mostly clean and has been upgraded with recliner seating, which at this point is a must. Last visit, they didn't have Snow Caps (devastating, I know), but they do offer self-serve butter and little popcorn salt cups so you can fine-tune your snack game throughout the film--love that detail. The commons area is cool and comfortable, but once you enter the auditorium and sit down, it becomes uncomfortably warm. I did a keyword search for "AC" and "hot," and there are tons of other complaints, including several from the last few days about other screening rooms. It's over 95°F outside with high humidity, and the theater was at least 95% capacity. Please fix this.

I moved away in the fall back to Ohio where my family is originally from. I still have extremely fond memories of that summer. I found a performing family, only to lose it as quickly as I had found it. It was a great time and from what I can remember (noting that the human memory is often not very reliable, especially from 30 years ago) it was a pretty good production in spite of the limitations. I'm so glad to see that the organization is still going. Sadly, I have never been able to make a return trip back to Baytown after all these years. I've been wanting to for several years now. Who knows?

The entire street is lined with historical theatres, some of which have been split into smaller venues inside. You can see the heyday of the city and all the money it used to bring in with the ornate structures and artwork inside. It'd be fun to just explore these buildings as a destination in themselves. Our show was roomy, which plenty of comfortable seats for all. They have restrooms on various levels, plus bars for alcoholic and soft drinks around too. The staff here were all welcoming and happy to help point us on our way. It was neat to see so many different events going on in the same spaces, seems like a great place for small shows, big shows, and private events.

The indoor museum was closed and we thought the whole park was closed at first, but no, it was just hot and most sane people were indoors. Hey, we're Minnesotans, we thrive in harsh weather conditions, mother nature be damned. We wandered around the grounds to see what this place had to offer. The monument with reflecting pond was cool to walk around, it is a really tall monument that can be seen for miles. Not a lot of stuff is built up around it though, so it feels way out in the middle of nowhere. It was also somewhat unnerving that we didn't see other people. A few more crazy people like us came after awhile and eased our nerves. It seems most people give a quick walk around the tower and then leave. Unfortunately, there was no battleship on the property as some other sites and reviews mention. That was a bummer, I would have gladly paid to take a look at that piece of history. That was kind of the ticket I used to get my family here, so once they figured out there wasn't a boat here, we packed up the car and left. Still a great piece of history that holds a special place in the heart of Texans (and the nation) everywhere. Interesting historical story to read about later too after visiting the site and seeing it first hand.
