I come to AMC gulf pointe 30 all the time. Either we come here to watch movies or go to cinemark in Webster. This place is basically legacy for me since I was young. Service is fine - I mean nothing to really rave about, and ambiance is also like any movie theater. I don't think they have reclining seats like cinemark though, so got to take some points off for that. Also, haven't had food here in a long time so can't really comment on it, but unfortunate that they discontinued dibs ice cream. read more

Bought our tickets online and received them for free. After we checked in, they scanned our tickets. At the food order line, there is only cashier. Waited 10 minutes to order. After we ordered, we also received a $4.50 credit. Our combo popcorn and drink only $13. We sat in the first row. The movie "Good Fortune." is fantastic. If you purchase online tickets remember to activate your credits. Then, you can use those credits for free tickets and movies. Get there for matinee time to avoid the long lines and for easy parking. You can buy last minute tickets at the outdoor kiosks. Enormous parking lot. Plenty of shady spots for your vehicle. read more

AMC Gulf Pointe 30 was an okay experience. The staff was great friendly and helpful. The seats don't recline, and the armrests don't lift up, which made it less comfortable. On the plus side, the food was good and they had a nice variety of slushies. Decent for a casual movie night. read more

Not good at all. it's 2026 and the chairs still don't recline they are small there is no leg room I watched my movie sitting straight up and back straight I've never been to a theater like this!!!! please get this changed! the seating is awful I have people right behind me bumping into the back of my seat mid movie because of how small and congested it is not to mention u can hear every word someone says with them being so close the whole theater needs space new seating and better seat material. read more

This place was a ghost town today, a Tuesday, around 1:45PM, probably only about 3 or 4 staff working; one up front, two in concessions and one floating around the floor. I asked for the $5 Tuesday deal which is a small popcorn & an icee. This is not advertised but they will honor it if you are a stubz rewards member (any level). The popcorn looked like it had been there a while, so I asked to wait for fresh. Unfortunately the gentleman stated that was the only popcorn available for now and there was no more to be popped at the moment. The taste was bearable once I doctored it with some warm butter. The Dolby cinema was very clean. The seats were reclining and comfy. My kiddo and I had plenty of space to spread out and comfortably enjoy the movie. Happy Yelping! read more

We are premium stub members amc theatres, this one was close to home, the inside was clean a lot of food and drinks to choose from. They had the biggest icee selection, over 15 flavors! We thought that was pretty cool. I'm giving it only 3 stars for a few reasons. No recliner seats, and in theatre 24 there was an awful noise the whole movie. Sounded like a broken fan right above us, drove me absolutely crazy. But the picture and overall sound of movie was great. We saw weapons! Great movie by the way. So what I don't like about this theater is they don't have reclining seats. It was close to home and had a showtime that worked with our schedule that's why we went here. They have so many showtimes and lots of movies to play. They have imax screen. You can buy alcohol and they had plenty of snacks to choose from and the fountain sodas that you can choose any flavor. I would go here again but I do prefer theaters with the reclining seats. Everything else was good! read more

I feel like I have traveled to this theater many many moons ago but not lately, it is not on my side of town. I came here on a Wednesday night for the Yelp Elite Screening of Balck Panther- Wakanda Forever. Amazing movie. The parking lot had plenty of space. We were in the Dolby Theater, which is great nice surround sound, reclining comfy and large seats. Lots of concession stand treats, overall a great movie theater experience. Went to see Interstellar in IMAX tonight. I bought my tickets online in 12/9. I got there at showtime, and the movie had already been playing for 15 minutes! When I went to the front desk, thinking it was an error, they informed me that they moved the showtime up so they could do more showings today and that "we posted it on the website." I never got an email even though they had it because that's how I bought my tickets. They didn't seem to care at all and didn't care about making it right. We came from Austin to see it in a real IMAX theater. That being said, the rest of the experience was great. Seats, sounds, showing, all good. read more

Went for the promotional screening of Black Panther:Wakanda Forever with Yelp! It's a pretty typical AMC but it's pretty old and outdated inside. They could definitely use some renovations. Seat arms were a lil worn out and the speakers would crackle from time to time but overall not a bad theatre or location. Service was good and friendly, no complaints there. There are a lot of theaters closer to me so doubt I'll be back to this AMC unless there's another event. read more

I have been to AMC Gulf Pointe 30 a few times over the years. It has been around for a while. I first went when I was in high school which was ages ago as I'm old. Most recently, I stopped by for an advance screening of Air. The big selling point of this AMC is that it's a big theater which means they show a lot of movies at once with lots of showtimes. That's always a plus as it makes it easier for you to find a convenient showtime. On the flip side, it's not the trendiest or most comfortable theater. Since it's an old theater, it could use some improvements. The seats could be more comfortable, for example. Some theaters have every seat recline and a foot rest. That's the type of comfort that's nice when you're going to be sitting for a few hours. But hey, I do appreciation the selection of movies. read more

I don't frequent this place but had the pleasure of seeing an early screening of "Wakanda Forever" via Yelp. The place was very clean, and seat were properly functioning. But you know I had to strike a star for that price. A large popcorn and drink (combo #1) was $16+. I just can't see myself paying almost $8 for a non alcoholic beverage. The movie was great! It's been Yearssssss, I'm talking about over a decade since I've visit this theater. Tonight my sonshine and I visit here for the viewing of the THE VALET. Which was an amazing concept and a tear jerker. The concession stand staff members are very attentive with quick and accurate delivery. The popcorn was hot and fresh. They also have two other flavored popcorns. Caramel & cheese popcorn is available for your enjoyment. This location also have self service drinks. We decided to watch Oppenheimer on 70mm. Super High capacity. Thats the only good thing about this theater. We were not able to hear the movie for the first 45 minutes especially with all commotion in the theater and poor sound system. It was hot in there. Here is the summary for the 70 mm theatre 1. Have seen two movies recently. Despicable Me 4; the film room light stayed on the entire movie, illuminating the theatre. I called about half a dozen times... no answer. Beetlejuice was so loud I had to get ear plugs from the truck. The volume was ear piercing and made the experience miserable. Will be waiting for movies to be released from now on until the cinema remembers how to operate. read more

First time visiting the location with 3 other friends and the experience was sucky. Had to wait a long time to get tickets, location was dirty, machines broken, and concession stand super unorganized. In the theatre the seats were straight up like airplane seats and cramped. Employees came to sit behind us and kept talking during the movie and were hitting our seats with their feet. Definitely put a damper on a paying customers experience. Will not be back. It's alright to go to if you like movies I don't so I don't go. The place is clean and they offer drinks so not bad to give it a try.

I forgot how awful this place is while in town for the holidays. I took my kids to see a show and bought food. The place was deserted this time, so it was very quiet during the movie, but the food was disgusting. Not one of the five would eat the burgers we ordered. They were $12 burgers. Let me correct that, they were $1.5 industrial factory break room vending machine food. Soggy and cold. Mine was actually still frozen when I opened it. Ask them to heat it more, receiving attitude and finally a slightly warm thing to town away, for $12. For the 5 tickets, food for everyone, a medium drink for everyone and popcorn to share that was $300. After the movie, all the kids handed me back all the burgers with a single bite taken and not even eaten that bite. Now I'm going to save this place on Google so I don't make this mistake again when out of town. read more

The ticket said it was 18+ and they'd check IDs. Um, the people 2 rows in front of us had a NEWBORN BABY who CRIED THE ENTIRE THREE HOURS DURING THE MOVIE. I don't know who is dumb enough or selfish enough to bring a newborn to a movie theatre or to that movie in particular but it was really annoying because it cost a lot of money to pay for imax tickets for me and my family (all of whom are over 18). Saw Oppenheimer = GREAT MOVIE!!! Saw it on the IMAX screen. Their IMAX screen is small and the sound system sucks. An hour into the movie andcthe AC shuts off. Seated next to me was a lady and her dog. Yep you read it right, she brought her dog. A nosey freakin dog who kept sniffing my shoes. Gulfpointe 30 is wild though. The main movie theater serving the SE side of Houston, the Latin vibes here are fuerte. It's loud, rambunctious, and crowded on the weekends. AMC has stepped it up with recliner seats, individual armrests, middle armrests that lift so my honey and I can "snuggle" ... and by snuggle I mean make out and make others uncomfortable. Unfortunately, not all the theaters are equipped with the upgraded seats. The concession lines are long; it's the only drawback really. I signed up for the A List which gives you a special lane that prioritizes your needs over the masses in the regular lines. Be a bigger bad ass and order ahead on the app; the food will be ready at your designated time and you can pick up with no waiting. Tip: You can pretend to have ordered something at the Express via the app, claim it didn't get through, and they'll take your order next. It's rude to the other people in line but F it, you tryna get to the seat so you can make out. Run it playboy! read more

The worst theater I've ever been in. The line for the one snack bar that was open, was 20-25 minutes deep. Think airport security lines only worse because it's at least 80 degrees in the lobby. I've been waiting to see the inside out movie that just came out two weeks ago it's currently monday right, so i'm not sure if they still have the popcorn bucket but doesn't hurt to ask(i've been looking forward to this bucket for sooooo long) and once im at concessions this guy laughed at me said he doesn't know why people still ask because they sold out two fridays ago, and that really hurt me not just the news but how he told me and laughed at me.
